AI and virtual assistants are transforming higher education by using digital tools to enhance teaching and learning in ways that go beyond traditional methods. These digital tools are not merely supplementary aids but are increasingly gaining popularity in educationalsetting offering innovative approaches that transcend conventional methods. In this research we introduce ByteBuddy a virtual assistant which assists instructors on Java ***'s framework is designed in a way to integrate easily into educational context. This study reveals the architecture of ByteBuddy, the process model that captured the behavior of students in the learning environment and the observation of its application in java instructions. By applying this study, we provide profound insights on how the effective use of ByteBuddy supplements the teaching practices and measure learning outcomes. © 2025 IEEE.

In order to cope with the problem of insufficient resources on mobile devices, the combination of blockchain and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) has attracted much attention. In this paper, we consider an edge-enabled blockchain system containing two types of miners and a single Edge Service Provider (ESP). Different types of miners have different resource requirements and corresponding prices. Each miner makes a computation offloading decision based on the resource price set by ESP. Different miners possess varying resource requirements and correspond to distinct prices. Miners formulate task offloading decisions based on the prices set by ESP for different resource types. The ESP dynamically adjusts resource price based on miners’ offloading requests and makes admission control according to resource usage in each time slot. The problem is a joint optimization problem of computation offloading, price strategy, and admission control, we model the problem as a sequential decision-making problem and use a dynamic programming algorithm to obtain the optimal solution. Through simulation experiments, our results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the overall social utility. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Aiming at the problem that driverless cars are unable to accurately detect the behavior of surrounding vehicles when performing lane changing in complex traffic. This paper proposes a lane changing fusion decision model to solve the problem of low effectiveness of driverless cars under complex traffic. The model improves the multi-objective trajectory prediction problem of driverless cars under complex traffic by using multi-source information fusion technology. At the same time, the input data is processed to realise the automatic learning and analysis of a large amount of data in combination with the deep learning algorithm of the artificial neural network. Statistical analysis of the model’s simulation experiment outcomes was conducted, and the fusion outcomes were then contrasted to the single-sensor situation. Under the optimized lane-changing model, the driverless car is improved in both lane-changing prediction and multi-vehicle perception, which solves the problems of inaccurate multi-objective trajectory prediction and inefficient lane-changing decision-making of the driverless car during lane-changing. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

Image stitching represents a crucial procedure for amalgamating numerous overlapping images into a comprehensive panoramic view, indispensable in detecting flaws on aircraft skin. However, aircraft skin imagery often encounters challenges stemming from factors like lighting inconsistencies, imprecise camera settings, and minute surface deformations on the aircraft. These variables can introduce issues like image blurring, noise, and distortions during the capture process, thereby complicating the stitching process. To address these challenges, we introduce a stitching algorithm rooted in linear structure features. Initially, we extract the linear structure characteristics from the original aircraft skin images and derive the image rotation matrix using these linear vectors. This approach aims to rectify rotational distortions resulting from camera positioning errors. Subsequently, to mitigate the issue of misalignment post-stitching, we calculate the color and gradient differences within the overlapping regions between the reference and target images. We then construct an energy function for pixel nodes, incorporating the linear structure feature information. This allows us to identify the stitching point that minimizes discrepancies in color and structural information within the overlapping areas. Experimental outcomes validate that our method facilitates smoother transitions and enhances the visual coherence of stitched images, thereby helping to enhance the accuracy and reliability of aircraft skin inspections. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

With the advancement of computer and human speech signal processing technology, the functionality and practicality of English pronunciation learning systems have been further enhanced. Gaussian Mixed Model (GMM) is a model that accurately quantifies things using Gaussian probability density function, decomposes a thing into several models based on Gaussian probability density function, and can directly approximate any probability distribution. GMM also combines the advantages of a single Gaussian density function and vector quantization, which can more effectively describe the distribution of speaker speech features. After extracting speech features using mel scale frequency cepstral coefficients (MFCC), the GMM algorithm is used for text-dependent English pronunciation learning system. The designed English pronunciation learning system is implemented on MATLAB software. This design collected the speech of 50 people with text-dependent for similarity English pronunciation, and after testing, the similarity reached over 93% under normal conditions. © The Authors.

The multi-UAV cooperative task allocation problem is central to multi-UAV cooperative combat. To enhance operational efficiency, this paper establishes a multi-UAV cooperative task allocation model. The model considers the constraints such as the ability of UAV and task priority, and takes the shortest total distance and task execution time of UAV swarm to complete the task as the optimization goal. A fish swarm auction hybrid algorithm is proposed to solve the model. Initially, the auction algorithm provides an allocation scheme to initialize the fish swarm algorithm, enhancing early convergence speed. Then, an adaptive improvement strategy is proposed for the step size of artificial fish. Initially, the step size is increased to enhance global search and speed up iterations. Later, it is reduced to avoid getting trapped in local optima and improve solution accuracy. The simulation results indicate that the hybrid algorithm demonstrates superior convergence and effectiveness. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

This keynote speech is to all intents and purposes introducing a new process mining approach and its implemented system, which are named as eXplainable process mining (XPM) approach and system, respectively. Through the XPM approach, we can selectively amalgamate a group of process event log traces, and through the XPM system, we can ultimately discover a series of complete and safe process models from a process enactment event log dataset. The XPM approach is theoretically based on the typical process modeling methodology of structured information control nets (abbreviated as SICN) and its algorithmic functionality is substantiated by the explainable ρ-Algorithm that is extended from the original ρ-Algorithm [6]. This keynote speech is also explicating the proven process mining algorithm that is able to discover the underlying SICN-oriented process model from a dataset of process enactment event logs and histories. More specifically, the concrete goal of this keynote speech is about an explainable way of discovering the complete structural formation of SICN-oriented process model. Assume that the structural formation is made up of an arbitrary number of combinational building blocks of the primitive process patterns such as linear (sequential), disjunctive (exclusive-OR), conjunctive (parallel-AND), and repetitive (iterative-LOOP) process patterns. Conclusively, it would be emphasized that the XPM approach and system ought to be very effective and well-fitted for managing life-cycles of very large-scale process models deployed in process-aware enterprises and organizations. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

In recent years, the ride-hailing platform enables the passengers to request a ride from a private vehicle driven by a non-commercially licensed driver and provides them the information of estimated wait times (EWT). These EWT announcements significantly affect the service experience. However, it is unclear whether the drivers or the platform is more appropriate to determine the EWT in the ride-hailing service for gaining more profit for the platform and drivers. In this pursuit, the present study envisaged the development of two models, i.e., the platform set EWT (Model P) and drivers set EWT (Model D) by combining the decisions about capacity and price. We formulated the model as a leader-follower game and obtained Stackelberg equilibrium solutions. Our results show that the platform should pay attention to the capacity cost. The high-capacity cost aggravates the cost burden of the platform in Model (P);therefore, the platform should entitle more autonomy to the drivers for decreasing the total cost. If the platform sets a shorter EWT than the drivers, Model (P) can be considered as a more favorable choice for both players. When the EWT decision of the platform is moderately longer than the EWT decision of drivers, the platform entitles drivers to determine the EWT, which generates a win-win situation. © 2025 The Authors.
