Modern language runtimes are complex, dynamic environments that involve a myriad of components that must work cooperatively to achieve the functional and performance requirements of a given language. Typical core runtime technologies include dynamic just-in-time compilers for performance, garbage collection for heap management, platform abstraction for ease of portability to different hardware and operating system environments, test infrastructure for quality control, developer tooling for diagnosis and tuning of the various components, and interoperability between different language *** services such as IBM cloud or Amazon Web Services are increasingly becoming the environments where applications are developed, tested, and deployed, data are stored, and businesses are run. Many of the features that define a cloud (e.g. resiliency, elasticity, consistency, security) are realized through runtime technologies. clouds are polyglot environments, and therefore advances in cloud development are directly driven by innovation in runtime technologies. However, cloud environments pose unique and often conflicting demands on runtime systems that are generally less of a concern in isolated systems. Throughput performance (how many results can my application produce?), density (how many instances of my application can I create and run simultaneously in my provisioned environment?), startup performance (how quickly can I launch a new instance of my application?), and language interoperability are all examples of important considerations that require innovative *** goal of this workshop was to bring together industry and research communities to share and discuss ideas, challenges, and research results across a broad set of open-source runtime technologies (such as Eclipse OMR, LLVM, Eclipse OpenJ9, ***) for cloud environments. In mobile computing, context-awareness has recently emerged as an effective approach for building adaptive pervasive computing applications. Many of these applications exploit information about the context of use as well as incorporate personalisation mechanisms to achieve intended personalised system behaviour. Context-awareness and personalisation are important in the design of decision support and personal notification systems. However, personalisation of context-aware applications in resource-bounded devices are more challenging than that of the resource-rich desktop applications. Bio-inspired algorithms are now becoming powerful methods for solving many real-world optimization problems. In this paper, we propose a hybrid approach involving Grey Wolf optimizer (GWO) and Bat swarm optimizer (BA) for global function optimization problems. GWO is well known for its balanced exploration/exploitation behavior, while BA is known to be more exploitative due to its low exploration ability in some conditions. We use GWO exploration skills to explore the search space effectively and BA local search capabilities to refine the solution. In our hybrid algorithm, namely (GWOBA), GWO is used to explore the problem space alone and pass the best two solutions to BA to guide its local search, then BA digs deeper and find the best solution. The new proposed approach has been tested using 30 standard benchmark functions from CEC2017 benchmark suite. The performance of the hybrid algorithm has been compared to the original GWO, BA and the Whale optimization algorithm (WOA). We use a set of performance indicators to evaluate the efficiency of the method. Results over various dimensions show the superiority of the proposed algorithm.

Because of the distributed nature of cloud computing, the data of cloud may be stored and processed across jurisdictional borders. In such case, collecting digital evidence from cloud computing requires multiparty cooperation. However, as far as we known, there is still no available technic approach for improving the trustworthy of the interaction records of all stakeholders in cloud forensics. This work proposed a process provenance, which provides proof of existence and privacy preservation for process records by using technologies of blockchain and cryptography group signature. The process provenance enhances the trustworthy of the chain of custody for cloud forensics.

The first Industrial Revolution took place in the $$17^{th}$$ and $$18^{th}$$ centuries. Since then, the evolution of the industrial revolution has continued. At present, Industry 4.0 a new industrial paradigm is already creating euphoria among technology professionals. The implementation of Industry 4.0 will significantly rely on Internet of Things (IoT) technology. IoT is poised to become the next big thing in the IT arena. However, the use of IoT technology to implement Industry 4.0 will require a collaborative efforts. There are many aspects that all stake holders both in IT world and Industry 4.0 will need to consider;these multiple aspects can be defined (i) smooth integration of the newly developed IoT sensors (things) into existing industries. (ii) Transparent secure communication channel and software layer to link manufacturing data with cloud based SW platforms. (iii) Developing a standard IoT architecture;Open standard is vital to guarantee hundreds of millions of Internet-connected things are inter-operable and being able to communicate with each other. (iv) Big Data storage and management capability. (v) Development of energy efficient IoT sensors and devices. The objective of this study is to explore the role IoT and related technologies such as cyber-physical systems (CPS) will play in the implementation of Industry 4.0. The paper begins with an introduction that gives an overview of IoT and Industry 4.0. The rest of the paper is divided as follows;integration between Industry 4.0 and IoT, Cyber physical system and industry 4.0, prerequisites of IoT technology, challenges and a conclusion. © 2018, Springer international Publishing AG.

Identity and Access Management (IAM) in cloud computing is a large domain that offers the ability to securely access cloud resources. In the cloud computing paradigm, an efficient IAM is significant for maintaining the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability (CIA-triad) of the data that is stored in the cloud. As IAM is an essential security component of cloud computing, it cannot be overlooked and needs attention from the research community. This paper outlines the significance and proper understanding of directory services, which arc at the center of an organization's IAM because they map user access to different applications and devices. The paper also discusses directory-as-a-service solution which lessens the challenges that organizations face with a directory. In Directory-as-a-service model, the focus is on the directory delivered as cloud service i.e. directory service is provided through the cloud instead of on premise directory solutions.
