Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects a significant portion of the population. Early identification and intervention are crucial for optimal developmental outcomes. This study reviews the application of machine learning and deep learning techniques in early ASD diagnosis. By examining research on diverse datasets and methodologies, this review analyzes the advancements in accuracy and efficiency of these technologies. The findings of this study provide valuable insights for researchers, medical professionals, and policymakers in improving early ASD detection and developing effective intervention strategies. © 2024 IEEE.

This paper proposes a deep learning method to generate knitting instructions from fabric images, reversing the traditional process of manual pattern coding. The instructions are based on the five-layer structure derived from knitting logic, consisting of a front label recognizable from the front real image and a complete label corresponding to the knitting programming. The approach is divided into two phases: the Generation Phase, where neural networks produce front label instructions, and the Inference Phase, where mesh-based logic expands these instructions into complete labels. We also introduce an optimized labeling method for Kaspar's dataset, improving the accuracy, scalability, and knittability of the generated instructions. This method simplifies the knitting process by automating instruction generation directly from fabric images.

In recent years, image based deep learning techniques have gained prominence in various industries, particularly in the field of quality grading. Quality assessment of images plays a pivotal role in various fields including manufacturing, healthcare, agriculture, etc. This paper proposes a model for image-based techniques for quality assessment using deep learning methodologies. It discusses about various deep learning algorithms like Convolution Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), Regional Convolution Neural Networks (RCNNs) and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) etc. The proposed model makes it easier to work these algorithms that are applied and the Dataset image size is minimized by Dimensionality Reduction, to get the higher accuracy. © 2024 IEEE.

To address the issue of insufficient automation in robotic welding for ship small assemblies, this study develops a welding technology based on point cloud processing. The research utilizes vision sensors to collect point cloud data of workpieces, and an improved point cloud processing algorithm is employed to extract weld seam information effectively. A novel real-time online calibration method for vision sensors is introduced, which precisely transforms the weld seam position from the vision sensor coordinate system to the robot coordinate system, thereby ensuring accuracy and continuity in the robotic welding process. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed technology significantly enhances automation and weld quality in ship small assemblies, showing substantial industrial application potential.

Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) is crucial for autonomous mobile robots navigating unknown environments. Traditional methods like Extended Kalman Filters and Particle Filters manage uncertainties but often falter in dynamic settings. This article discusses the implementation of the Rao-Blackwellized Particle Filter (RBPF) in the SLAM system of the LIMO ROS2 platform. By integrating RBPF into the default ROS2 framework, we decompose the SLAM problem into simpler sub-problems, enhancing computational efficiency and estimation accuracy. Results show that the implemented system effectively handles dynamic environments and noisy data, as demonstrated through simulations and real-world experiments with the LIMO ROS2 robot.

In remote/isolated areas, access to reliable electricity can drastically improve the quality of life, supporting essential services like healthcare, education, and local businesses. However, in regions where extending the power grid is impractical, off-grid solar photovoltaic (PV) systems with battery storage have emerged as a promising solution. This study presents an optimized energy management system for off-grid solar PV systems, specifically designed to address the challenges of fluctuating solar irradiance, varying load demands, and battery longevity in isolated applications. Integrating advanced Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) algorithms ensures efficient energy capture and stable power delivery even under rapidly changing environmental conditions. The Battery Management System (BMS) employs a bidirectional DC-DC converter to precisely control charging and discharging cycles, contributing to extended battery lifespan and optimized energy flow. Through simulations in MATLAB, the proposed system demonstrates rapid DC bus voltage stabilization at approximately 400 V within 0.1 seconds after load variations, maintaining consistent power output. These results indicate that the optimized energy management approach enhances system efficiency and significantly improves reliability, making it a robust and sustainable solution for rural electrification in off-grid settings. © 2024 IEEE.

This research explores the efficacy of a companion robot as a stress intervention for professionals working from home. The robot, designed to observe and engage in friendly conversations, offers stress-reducing suggestions based on continuous monitoring of user behavior. Our findings demonstrate that the stress reduction companion robot effectively reduced stress and improved workability by accurately detecting facial emotions, stress levels, and speech. The system's ability to minimize distractions and interpret facial expressions highlights its success in enhancing user well-being and overall experience. Further research is needed to assess long-term effectiveness and address ethical considerations for widespread implementation. This study presents a novel approach to address stress-related issues and enhance workability in various settings. © 2024 IEEE.

This study addresses the replenishment delivery of packages received at the warehouse during the mobile lockers delivery process by establishing a two-stage optimization model. The first stage plans the delivery of parcels that arrived at the warehouse the previous day, while the second stage focuses on supply vehicles replenishing parcels that arrive during the delivery period. And the large neighborhood search algorithm is developed to solve the problem, and its accuracy and effectiveness are validated through numerical experiments. The results indicate that incorporating replenishment delivery significantly enhances customers' requirement for timeliness, with 400% to 600% of parcels successfully replenished on average. Additionally, replenishment contributes to substantial cost savings, reduces the travel distances of mobile locker, and decreases carbon emissions.

Sugarcane is a critical crop, and its productivity is significantly influenced by leaf defects caused by various diseases. Accurate and timely detection of these defects is essential for effective crop management. This review paper explores the state-of-the-art approaches for detecting sugarcane leaf defects, focusing on machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and transfer learning techniques. The motivation behind this review is to address the limitations of existing methods and propose future improvements.
