Power device series voltage equalization technology is widely used in the field of high-voltage DC power supply. A new type of voltage equalization circuit is proposed for the uneven voltage problem of series connection of power devices. With solid-state SIC MOSFET as the main switching device, an optimized active clamp circuit and an improved RCD voltage equalization circuit are designed. Through the slope adjustment and voltage clamping principle, a voltage source is added at the gate to establish a dual feedback loop, and the coupled inductor is used to clamp the voltage on the power side, effectively suppressing the dynamic voltage imbalance that occurs during the series connection of SiC MOSFETs. The working principle of the new voltage equalization circuit is described in detail, the simulation circuit is built in Pspice, and the validity is verified. The simulation results are used to compare and analyze the voltage equalization effect of the new voltage equalization circuit with that of the traditional voltage equalization circuit, and the future development of series voltage equalization is envisioned.

This study shows a prototype for detecting lung effects using microwave imaging. Continuous monitoring of pulmonary fluid levels is one of the most successful approaches for detecting fluid in the lung; early Chest X-rays, computational tomography (CT)-scans, and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are the most commonly used instruments for fluid detection. Nonetheless, they lack sensitivity to ionizing radiation and are inaccessible to the general public. This research focuses on the development of a low-cost, portable, and noninvasive device for detecting Covid-19 or lung damage. The simulation of the system involved the antenna design, a 3D model of the human lung, the building of a COMSOL model, and image processing to estimate the lung damage percentage. The simulation consisted of three components. The primary element requires mode switching for four array antennas (transmit and receive). In the paper, microwave tomography was used. Using microwave near-field imaging, the second component of the simulation analyses the lung's bioheat and electromagnetic waves as well as examines the image creation under various conditions; many electromagnetic factors seen at the receiving device are investigated. The final phase of the simulation shows the affected area of the lung phantom and the extent of the damage.

Extracting contour lines from regular elevation grid is an important function of GIS. Due to the influence of satellite image resolution and contour extraction algorithm, automatic contour extraction is difficult to be applied and visualized in production. Based on the third-party GDAL library, DEM elevation data can be directly interpolated into contour vector data, but there are errors in the conversion results. In this paper, an improved contour extraction algorithm is proposed. Based on osgeearth, a contour 3D simulation system is constructed, and the algorithm is integrated in the system to realize the automatic extraction and rendering of contours in any area of 3D digital scene. The experimental results show that the contour extracted by the improved algorithm is consistent with the actual terrain. © 2021 IEEE.

With the continuous development and deepening of wireless power transmission technology, the application of inductively coupled power transmission (ICPT) system is gradually mature, which avoids the wire wear of traditional contact power supply mode, easy leakage, high maintenance cost, and has the advantages of flexible and reliable, low maintenance cost. This paper mainly aims at realizing real-time information interaction while long-term stable power output of medical scanning CT machine, and proposes the synchronous transmission technology of power and signal of multi-terminal magnetic coupling ICPT system. Based on the traditional singleended magnetic coupling structure, the multi-coil parallel structure is proposed, and the FSK signal modulation and demodulation mode is adopted to meet the long-term stable energy output. Finally, a multi-terminal magnetic coupling ICPT system model is built based on MATLAB/Simulink simulation platform, and the feasibility of the system for synchronous transmission of energy and signal is verified.

DC power supply in building sector is a promising form of power supply. Compared with traditional AC power supply, it has potential in reducing power loss and integration with renewables energies. This paper presents a comparative analysis of the quantitative energy consumption of building DC power supply and traditional AC power supply. Based on the analysis of the energy consumption curve of the office space in Shenzhen, this study established an electrical load model in a typical office scenario, and at the same time established a DC microgrid system suitable for typical office environment, including energy storage, photovoltaic modules, and electrical energy conversion devices. Subsequently, PSIM and Simulink are used to realize the simulation analysis of the electric load model in the operation of the DC microgrid and the power consumption of the AC grid. Finally, it is concluded that the use of the DC microgrid system reduces the energy consumption by 17.57% compared to the AC power supply on a typical day. Moreover, the optimization direction and prospects of building DC power supply are given in terms of circuit topology and control algorithm. © 2021 IEEE.

Renewable energy gains importance due to halting climate change, cutting greenhouse gas emissions, and preserving a healthy ecosystem. It guarantees energy security by lowering reliance on fossil fuels, promotes economic growth by generating jobs, and encourages energy independence. Additionally, cleaner mobility and increased system resilience are made possible by decentralized power generation from renewable energy sources. Despite their numerous advantages, solar and wind energy are influenced by weather conditions, resulting in variability in energy production. This intermittency can make DC -DC converters as inevitably in the energy generation. Although many converters have been developed, this paper deals with the analysis of a high gain single switch DC-DC converter which enhances the efficiency. The designed converter is able to magnify the applied voltage by 13.4 times to produce the voltage 352V suitable for single phase grid integration.

The widespread adoption of Internet-of-Things (IoT) applications has led to the development of the Fog computing paradigm, which enables the seamless integration of mobile-edge and cloud resources. Efficiently allocating and provisioning application tasks in these environments is challenging due to limited resource capacities, IoT mobility, network hierarchy, resource heterogeneity, and stochastic behaviours. In this interconnected world, the demand for more computing devices, especially for delay-sensitive applications, is crucial. In this paper, we propose a community-based fog computing system that leverages a reputation-based resource distribution scheme for efficient task allocation across Fog Nodes (FNs). The system is structured into a three-layer architecture comprising the end layer, fog layer, and cloud layer. The end layer consists of IoT devices that generate tasks for processing. The fog layer implements a reputation mechanism to evaluate the reliability of fog nodes, organizing them into high, medium, and low communities based on performance metrics. Tasks are then allocated to fog nodes based on their reputation and the priority of the tasks. This architecture ensures optimal resource utilization, improves load balancing, and maintains the Quality of Service by dynamically allocating resources based on real-time reputation scores. The simulation results of the proposed algorithm were compared with FCFS, GfE, Detour, and PSG-M algorithms. For 10 to 50 FNs executing 500 tasks, the proposed algorithm demonstrated the following average improvements over PSG-M: 20.36% in makespan, 12.74% in energy consumption, 51.15% in cost, 11.2% in deadline violation, and 2.81% in resource utilization.

With the ever-looming threat of global warming to all life forms, the world is putting effort to achieve carbon neutrality in order to avoid grave consequences to ecosystems worldwide. The maritime industry is part of the vectors able to influence significantly emissions of greenhouse gases. In fact, the maritime industry moves more than 80% of the World trade by volume, which makes it a large and growing source of global greenhouse gas emissions contributing to climate change. The Ships are also a source of pollution to the local communities living near the Ports due to their energy consumption when at berth. At the current date, the most common method to mitigate this problem is to provide the ships at berth electricity from shore side. This paper presents the project greenPORT, which aims to create an energy management system for a green energy Port. After a brief introduction, the state of the art and relevant standards related to shore power and green ports are discussed and then, a Port load curve model is presented. This load model, built through a statistical analysis of real data from the Port of Lisbon from the year of 2019, will form the backbone of a future green port management system.

This paper introduces a groundbreaking approach for selective harmonic elimination (SHE) in a 17-level reduced switch multilevel inverter, using the innovative Salp Swarm Algorithm (SSA). This method is carefully designed to minimize harmonic distortion while ensuring the desired output voltage. By leveraging SSA, three objective functions are optimized to target and eliminate specific harmonics: the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 13th, and 15th harmonics. The computational and simulation results underscore the remarkable efficacy of the proposed SHE method, with Objective Function 2 (OF2) demonstrating superior performance. The results indicate that the selected harmonics are promptly eliminated while the proposed technique performs on par or better than the other available methods, in which it requires fewer switches. This development paves the way for the new technique's implementation in high-power inverters' subsequent generation as the superior method based on its improved effectiveness as well as reliability.
