2D flow analysis of a race car wing operating in the wake of varying diffuser angles is carried out in ANSYS Fluent CFD software. The combined effect of the high lift wing and the diffuser was studied in the wake region as it directly affects any vehicle in the path. The behaviour of aerodynamic forces on the high lift wing was studied. By altering the inclination of the diffuser above the surface, the model configuration was altered. The front wing of the race car operates in the wake region which helps in studying the ground effect caused by the diffuser and the disturbance caused by the rear wing of the race car. The optimum diffuser angle was found out by analysing the problem at multiple diffuser angles and at varying freestream velocities. A numerical investigation of generic racing car wing was conducted, using original sub-scale experimental data for validation. The downforces are extracted from the simulations and the most efficient diffuser angle is inferred. While 16.7° was marginally more efficient than 10° in both cases, the substantial improvement in the efficiency of the lower angle diffuser can still be seen. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

The use of biometric data, such as various anatomical and behavioural attributes in automatic identification and authentication systems for access control, surveillance, computer security, and law enforcement are increasing. Several nations are already or will soon begin to use biometric technology. In this paper, there is a in detail analysis of innovative biometric systems and also the research study of how the computational techniques used intelligent data system in order to analyse biometric system, The efficacy of biometric technologies will depend on how well they work. Biometric system evaluation examines how well biometric systems adapt to particular characteristics. Planning and carrying out biometric tests are frequently handled by an impartial third party. A measure of confidence in the validity of the claim might be one of the options the algorithm offers. Applications that validate a user's address or confirm their identity at the point of sale are examples of verification applications.

This paper proposes an innovative deep learning algorithm, denominated as Neuroevolution of Hybrid Neural Networks in a Robotic Agent (NRNH-AR). This algorithm stands out in computational efficiency, evolutionary stability, and classification speed, surpassing other existing methods such as FAM-HGNN, I3A, DQN, among others. The triptych design of the NRNH-AR optimizes resource usage and exhibits superior adaptability in dynamic environments, which is a critical factor in robotics. The integration of artificial vision techniques enhances the capability for rapid classification of observations. Throughout 300 epochs in a dynamic environment, the importance of a minimal database for the algorithm's effective evolution was evidenced. Moreover, it was found that the accuracy of the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) directly impacts the performance of the NRNH-AR. An additional study of 850 epochs in a static environment provided a deeper understanding of the evolution and adaptation of learning networks. The NRNH-AR is positioned as a viable and promising solution in the field of applied deep learning in robotics. © 2024 IOS Press. All rights reserved.

Change detection is used in water resources, urban infrastructure, town surveillance, disaster survey, and town map-design applications using remote sensing imagery. However, detecting changes using these remotely sensed images presents special challenges. The tremendous amount of data contained in these satellite imagery and the network’s computational multiplicity due to comprehensive convolution layers. So, we define each of these problems by constructing a (SDDSCNet) siamese-based dilated depthwise separable convolution (DWconv) network, which transfer weights in two networks and trained by overlapping patches of the input satellite images. The origination of this network is the standard convolution is replaced by the dilated DWconv in siamese-based CNN-convolution neural network to lower computational cost with a less number of layers of the architecture. Additionally, we proposed a dense dilated DWcov (DDWcov) center part to entirely increase the exposed range of CNN to capture relevant features and assure the accuracy of semantic segmentation. The refinement in the resulted map, this study utilizes post-processing technique by using UDWT-undecimated discrete wavelet transform fusion for dimensional and temporal analysis of different resolution input to refine the difference map and generate a lot more enriched information change map. The proposed approach outperforms the existing methods details of parameters, execution (inference) time, and accuracy, according to experimental results for (OSCD) Onera Satellite Change Detection and (AC) SZATKI AirChange benchmark datasets. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

As the use of quadcopters becomes more widespread, the need for safe and timely quadcopter flight increases. In particular, operating a quadrotor in a cluttered environment presents the challenge of non-convex obstacles and safe flight trajectory generation. This paper presents two methods for generating the safe flight corridor (SFC) step in the three steps of quadrotor 3D trajectory planning, octree-based flight corridor generation, and inflated ellipsoid flight corridor generation, and verifies their superiority by comparing them with existing algorithms (RRT* based planning and IRIS) through an experimental method of computer simulation. Finally, the limitations of both methods are presented and conjectures for solutions are made based on the establishment and experimental validation methods of both methods.

In multi-robot collaborative exploration of unstructured environments, redundant exploration often occurs, leading to significant consumption of computational resources and thus reducing exploration efficiency. To address this issue, this paper proposed the EC-MCE algorithm, an enhancement of the Consensus-Based Bundle Algorithm (CBBA) algorithm, which integrates a fully connected neural network to evaluate five key factors: travel cost, information gain, loop closure likelihood, revisit probability, and deviation for local benefit evaluation. This approach ensures the efficient allocation of boundary points, which in turn ensures the efficient completion of exploration tasks. The effectiveness of this method was verified on the Airsim simulation platform, with experimental results showing that compared to traditional methods, this approach reduced the total exploration time by about 10% and decreased the number of repeated area explorations by about 20%. These improvements significantly enhance the exploration efficiency of the system while ensuring the safe navigation of multiple mobile robots in unstructured environments. © 2024 IEEE.

The vector form intrinsic finite element (VFIFE) method is a numerical analysis method based on the theory of vector mechanics. With the underlying concepts of point value description, path element and fictitious reverse motion, the numerical model is established for the mechanical behavior of the structure. In comparison with the traditional finite element (FE) methods, there is no assembling for the global stiffness matrices in VFIFE method. VFIFE method can effectively handle the complicated behavior analysis involving large deformation, large displacement, geometric and material non-linearity, contact and collision, fracture and collapse, buckling or wrinkling failure, etc. The differences in basic theory between traditional FE methods and VFIFE method are summarized before demonstrating the recent progress, development and applications in various fields and structures. Existing researches proved the strong capability and high accuracy of VFIFE method. Moreover, the application trends of VFIFE method are discussed, including dynamic behavior of large scale structures, cloud-based high-speed parallel computing, hybrid simulation, and digital twin technology. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

After China, the United States, and Nigeria, India is the leading producer of groundnuts and oil. On 20,000 acres, Konkan groundnut yields 1,800 kg ha-1. Konkan has an abundance of groundnuts. Leaf spots are the most influential biotic factors on groundnut yield and quality. Depending on the timing and conditions, both leaf marks can result in losses exceeding fifty percent. This disease inhibits photosynthesis by causing leaflet abscission and severe defoliation [2]. Image processing methods based on artificial neural networks, back propagation neural networks, support vector machines, and other methods. Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Artificial Neural Network (ANN) models are most frequently used for plant disease diagnosis in agriculture due to their superior computation and precision [3]. Utilizing convolutional neural networks and artificial neural networks, a disease detection model for groundnut early leaf spot caused by Cercospora arachidicola will be developed.

The work is devoted to an experimental study of the coupled torsional and transverse vibrations of a ship's shaft lines. The classification of the loads required for measurements affecting the operability of the shaft line are given. It is noted that analytical calculation methods do not allow to fully taking into account the actual conditions of shaft loading due to their random nature. The results of an experimental study of the vibration parameters of the shafting of two tugboats by the method of dynamic strain measurement are presented. The presence of a region of dynamic instability of the shaft during torsional and transverse vibrations at one operating speed has been established. The results of measurements of the actual mechanical stresses on the shaft are presented. The effect of acting equivalent mechanical stresses on the shaft performance is estimated. The results of studies of coupled oscillations on an experimental setup are presented. The registration of tensile, compression and torsion deformations of the shaft line was made on the basis of the author's method of the dynamic measurement. According to the presented tensograms of vibrations of the shaft line, it is concluded that there are zones of dynamic instability of the shaft line. The results obtained in this work are an addition to the existing methods of dynamic measurements and can be extended to other technical systems containing a heavily loaded shaft.

The existence of the vacuum tube train can improve the efficiency of transportation. However, the complex aerodynamic phenomena cause drastic environmental fluctuations in the tube, which are concentrated on pressure and temperature. On the background of an under-constructed test platform, using three-dimensional numerical methods, a vacuum tube train model is established to analyze the environmental changes on the surface of the train dynamically during the acceleration process, uniform motion process and deceleration process. The result proposed that the specific aerodynamic phenomena such as shock wave, expansion wave and choked flow, are the main reasons for the changes of pressure and temperature. During the acceleration process, the generation of the shock wave, expansion wave and choked flow causes the drastic changes of the temperature and pressure. During the uniform motion process, a normal shock wave generated in front of the choked flow enhances the increase of temperature and pressure, yielding the maximum values at the end of this process. During the deceleration process, the disappearance of shock wave and the reflection of the expansion waves in the rear cause the sudden changes on the temperature and pressure. © 2024, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
