Diffuser performance prediction plays a crucial role in high-altitude simulation test of rocket engines. This paper presents a study focused on calculating and applying the cylindrical diffuser's starting performance, aiming to provide a straightforward and efficient approach for calculating the starting characteristic curve, which reveals the relationship between combustion chamber pressure ratio and vacuum chamber pressure ratio. The curve can be understood as representing three operational stages, consisting of 4 distinct feature points. To achieve this, a semi-empirical approach is proposed, which combines one-dimensional flow formulas with a fitting formula derived from the existing test data. By validating the starting characteristic curves for three different groups of engine nozzles and cylindrical diffusers, the computational results demonstrate good agreement with experimental results, with a margin of error of 7.1%, 12.9%, and 16.9%, respectively. For most common rocket engines with expansion ratios below 60, the starting characteristic curves of the cylindrical diffusers can be quickly obtained by using the proposed 4-point method.

Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) is the material handling equipment that is utilized broadly in a maximum manufacturing company nowadays as it gives more flexibility to the system. The fundamental perception of AGV includes driverless and battery-powered vehicles with programming abilities for path selection and locating. They are equipped to navigate a flexible guide-path network, which might be simply changed and extended. This project may be concentrating on model, unloading and loading mechanism for AGV have been required to define specific criteria, which is automatic operated, lightweight and capable of transporting acrylic. This unloading and loading system worked utilizing ball screw as a development system and suction cup with a vacuum pump as adhering instrument. The outline and fundamental material to manufacture this AGV model would utilize aluminum to decrease the AGV weight. The AGV application in a real-world application is supported human and decreasing price in repetitive movement transportation actions. This manuscript suggests a survey on the control and design of AGV frameworks. We locate many key-related problems incorporating guide-path design, vehicle scheduling, assessing the number of vehicles, battery management, conflict determination, idle-vehicle positioning, and vehicle routing. Furthermore, we suggest a decision system for the design and execution of AGV frameworks, and propose few fruitful study directions. It will be designed for an importantly less price and exorbitant efficiency. The Wittrick-Williams algorithm is used as the solution technique in the dynamic stiffness matrix to compute the natural frequencies of the orthotropic plate for different boundary conditions, aspect ratios, thickness ratios and modulus ratios. The corresponding dynamic stiffness matrix of the orthotropic plate is developed by classical plate theory and Hamilton's principle. Levy type boundary conditions are considered in this paper. Results obtained are compared with published results and that obtained by finite element method using commercial software Ansys. © 2020 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Semantic segmentation, a fundamental task in computer vision, has evolved significantly with the introduction of deep learning techniques, particularly fully convolutional networks (FCNs). In the context of real-time semantic segmentation, the demand for efficient yet accurate models has grown, particularly for resource-constrained devices. Recent advancements have explored the fusion of global context and local details through bidirectional network structures, exemplified by BiSeNet, STDCNet, and DDRNet. However, issues of pixel inconsistency within the same object classification persist. Attention-based models like SETR and SegFormer have shown promise in mitigating this issue by capturing intricate spatial dependencies. This paper introduces the concept of 'Mask Disarrange' and proposes a lightweight attention mechanism suitable for real-time semantic segmentation. The Cross Patch Attention (CPA) and Inter Patch Attention (IPA) methods are presented, addressing fusion and mask disarrange challenges while maintaining computational efficiency. experimental results on the Cityscapes dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed Bilateral Patch-Net (BPNet) in achieving superior segmentation performance and increased frames per second (FPS) compared to the state-of-the-art PIDNet. BPNet's contributions lie in its simplicity, efficiency, and applicability to diverse domains, offering potential for broader adoption in computer vision applications. © 2024 IEEE.

Aiming at the problem that it is difficult to accurately identify the mechanical fault of the transformer core, a method of transformer core mechanical fault diagnosis based on variational mode decomposition (VMD)-multi-scale permutation entropy (MPE) and a gray wolf optimization algorithm to optimize the parameters of hybrid kernel extreme learning machine (GWO-HKELM) is proposed. Firstly, VMD is used to decompose the transformer vibration signal and select multiple IMF components that are highly correlated with the original vibration signal. Secondly, we calculate the MPE values of the IMF components and use them to construct a feature dataset. Furthermore, GWO is used to optimize the key kernel parameters of HKELM and establish a GWO-HKELM diagnostic model. Then, the feature dataset is imported into the GWO-HKELM diagnostic model for recognition. Finally, the effectiveness and superiority of the suggested method are verified through experimental data and comparison with other methods. The experimental results show that the suggested method can effectively identify different types and degrees of mechanical faults caused by transformer core looseness, with a diagnostic accuracy of over 98.0%. It can provide theoretical guidance for the formulation of on-site maintenance strategies for transformers.

The decline in the selling value of Gayo Arabica coffee produced by farmers in Bener Meriah Regency indicates that there has been a phenomenon of price stability disturbance. One of the reasons is related to the quality standards of the coffee produced. elements in handling in every process of activity starting from the cultivation process to post-harvest carried out will cause risk events that can worsen the quality of gayo arabica coffee produced, it is necessary to map the existing system so that it can identify risk events that arise. The method used in this study is the House of Risk (HOR). This HOR method serves to analyze and prioritize the sources of risk causes (risk agents) and establish priority risk mitigation strategies that can reduce risk agents. By mitigating risks in the Gayo Arabica coffee supply chain, it is expected to reduce existing risks and the supply chain can run optimally. Based on this study, analyzing the supply chain using the HOR method, there were 32 risk events and 46 risk agents grouped into 31 risk agents. Using HOR I method, it measures the severity of risk events, occurrences of risk agents, and produces an Aggregate Risk Potential (ARP) value where 28 risk agents are prioritized to be resolved where the three risk agents whose priority is to be reduced are the mistakes of collectors in the technical quality control process (A12), poor planning from farmers (A31), and poor quality green bean packaging (A18).HOR II produces 14 mitigation strategies and 8 mitigation strategies are prioritized based on the value of effectiveness and level of difficulty. The three priority mitigation strategies are compiling and establishing SOPs for Gayo Arabica coffee cultivation which is integrated with current coffee plantation technology (PA11), collaborating with fertilizer and packaging companies (PA09), and providing quality control training to conduct quality assessments in accordance with SNI standard (PA06). © 2023, The Author(s), under ex

Intensification of heat transfer is one of the prime targets of many researchers around the globe considering the energy requirement and its application in the various thermal engineering sectors. The main objective of paper is to enhance the heat transfer in a heated tube carrying air using a novel tripartition flow splitter. A numerical analysis has been performed for forced convection with a 5000 to 15,000 range of Reynolds number and constant heat input. The orientation effect using changing the angle between the splitters has been investigated. Friction factor and the Nusselt number were used for the analysis of the thermal performance, while a non-dimensional parameter thermal performance index was defined and calculated for analyzing the overall performance of the system. A finite volume based computational fluid dynamics technique has been employed for the analysis. An ANSYS Fluent software has been used to develop 3-dimensional computational model and numerical analysis. A lab scale experimental setup has been developed and results were used for the validation of the numerical model. The results of experimental setup also been validated with standard correlations found in literature. The Numerical results from the study found promising values with the experimental results. A 180 degrees alternate orientations of splitters was found better than the conventional type of orientations (0 degrees). The results show a novel tri-partition flow splitter helps to create turbulence in the fluid flow along with better conduction effect from splitters and enhances the heat transfer. This study addresses the critical issue of inter-turn short circuits in permanent magnet synchronous machines (PMSMs) within the realm of power engineering. It encompasses a thorough investigation, from examining prevalent fault detection methods to employing advanced computational tools for accurate machine modeling and simulation. The novel approach combines precise magnetic field modeling with established electrical and mechanical equations, yielding significantly higher accuracy compared to conventional methods. The computational models not only detect inter-turn faults but also allow for the analysis of ground faults, open circuit faults, and dynamic and static eccentricities. Results from simulations closely align with real-world values, affirming the efficacy of the proposed modeling approach. The study also demonstrates the feasibility of identifying non-axisymmetric faults through dynamic machine behavior analysis. Torque oscillations, resultant from imbalanced phase currents, emerge as a potential diagnostic tool for inter-turn faults. Additionally, phase current asymmetry opens avenues for fault detection based on sequence analysis. This research provides a robust framework for accurate inter-turn short circuit detection in PMSMs. By integrating advanced computational modeling with established electrical engineering principles, it offers an approach to fault diagnosis in these machines, addressing a critical concern in power engineering.

In vehicles, zero-emission production and wheels propelled with their own battery energy is possible only through electric vehicles. The long-term maintenance cost is very low as well as the lower center of gravity gives better cornering and turning stability. These advantages have influenced and have made electric vehicles as a new generation transport both in India and internationally in the automobile engineering sector. From the time EVs came into picture, there have been a lot of modifications in their design and some major components like battery pack and motor. In spite of these advancements and advantages, EVs are still not much popular in the automobile market, if we look at their growth, there is an increase but it is still less as compared to S.I and C.I engine automobiles. If we look at the reason behind that, there are some major setbacks in EVs like charging time, mileage, support of electrical components like headlights and air conditioners while driving. It’s very essential to look at the issues in EVs and their causes and to find out the ways how to overcome them with few modifications keeping the pocket friendly cost in mind. A number of companies all around the globe are rigorously working on improving the performance of EVs, India is also actively participating in promoting and providing a better platform for EVs. As everyone knows those EVs are the future of automobiles and hence their development is a necessity.
