Cyber-attacks are regular occurrence on software which can lead to serious consequences such as exposure of vulnerable system data. software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) strictly incorporates security specifically in final phase which makes the product vulnerable to security threats. The incorporation of security should be done from the initial phase of the SDLC but it is generally seen as an activity after development by most of the developers and companies. To address the security problems in SDLC multiple approaches are being developed which includes models, frameworks and methods. These approaches also improve the maturity and assurance level of the software. In this paper, we highlight various models for software development, and phases of development followed by SDLC. This paper also presents the security issues faced during the development of a software. It also analyses the frameworks, models and methods with SWOT parameters. Finally, we discuss the recent proposed ideas and changes about making a software secure. © 2024 IEEE.

In software development, a key concept is 'reproducible builds'. These are builds where the exact same output (identical bits) is generated every time the same source code is compliled with the same tools. Unfortunately, achieving this consistency isn't always straightforward. software artifacts built through a complex build system can introduce a challenge to pinpoint or give an idea about the reason for the unreproducibility of a build. With the build process spanning multiple stages, observability in the build system is crucial to determine the point of failure. eBPF solves the problem by allowing to tap into syscalls and process executions. In more straightforward terms, it helps to give an estimate on what could probably be the reason for the unreproducibility. Writing eBPF programs from scratch requires a great deal of knowledge and is not something every organisation would do to debug their unreproducible builds. This paper aims to provide a highlevel solution to observe the build process. © 2024 IEEE.

This Continual Test-Time Adaptation (CTTA) enables pre-trained models to adapt to evolving data distributions without the need of source data for retraining. Current methods often involve resource-intensive updates or full model modifications, which can lead to error accumulation and catastrophic forgetting. We propose LessBN, a simple yet effective approach that selectively adjusts shallow Batch Normalization (BN) layers at test time, minimizing prediction entropy to boost model confidence. This adjustment preserves deep feature knowledge while enhancing efficiency and mitigating forgetting. The benchmark experiments on CIFAR10C and CIFAR100C demonstrate that LessBN matches or surpasses existing methods with significantly faster adaptation speed, validating its practicality and effectiveness. It can be easily plugged into off-the-shelf models due to its simplicity and generalizability. © 2024 IEEE.

In this paper, design and implementation of a 2D graphics processing hardware unit using FPGA for educational purpose is presented. We propose a more simple & minimalist GPU architecture, which is flexible and easy to understand than existing industrial GPUs. We present a platform for understanding GPU architecture by implementing of graphics algorithms on FPGA for students to use this in laboratories. Students can be benefited from this work as it can be used as a base understanding tool in terms of GPU architecture. It can also be extended to be used in cross disciplinary applications like 3D rendering, computer vision and signal processing visualisation. This research includes descriptions of hardware realization of 2D rasterization rendering algorithms. Hardware Description Language (HDL) called verilog is utilized in designing the architecture. Xilinx Vivado Design Suite software is used for FPGA implementation, targeting Artix 7 FPGA board, which allows users to comprehend the fundamental ideas of hardware design and their applications in graphics rendering. © 2024 IEEE.

Large average path length between servers leads to a low data transmission efficiency in current data center networks (DCNs). In this paper, a server-centric architecture SWSC is proposed to optimize the average path length between servers. The underlying topology of SWSC is built on a regular network with a greedy connection, which gradually connects the farthest two servers with their available ports. The hybrid connection and multi-port NIC benefit SWSC multiple routing protocols as the shortest path routing, greedy routing, and multi-path routing. The experiment results show that SWSC can provide higher network performance than SWDC in terms of average path length, network diameter, bisection bandwidth, disjoint parallel paths, and greedy routing paths with identical equipment. The advantage of SWSC indicates that the proposed structure is a high-performance alternative to data center network construction. © 2024 IEEE.

Faster-than-Nyquist (FTN) technology, as a transmission technique that can improve spectrum efficiency, has received widespread attention. However, it introduces severe Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI), leading to increased complexity in symbol detection at the receiver end. An FTN detector based on Semidefinite Relaxation (SDR) exhibits good performance and low complexity. In this paper, an iterative FTN detector based on soft-output SDR is proposed. In traditional turbo receivers, forward error correction codes are only used at the decoder. However, the SDR detector proposed in this paper outputs external information to the decoder with higher reliability. By simplifying the SDR Turbo receiver, this approach solves only one SDR problem for each codeword instead of multiple SDR problems in the iterative turbo processing, thus reducing the time complexity of the SDR turbo receiver while maintaining the original error performance. © 2024 IEEE.

The purpose of this article is to develop methods for representing scientific documentation in the form of graphs and their subsequent use. It analyzes the current state of quantitative and bibliometric methods for document analysis and possible ways of their application. The article also describes the developed software that serves to visualize the analysis of the conceptual structure of scientific publications and what progress has been made during the study. The result of the work carried out is a software product oriented to use during training at universities, with the ability to view scientific publications in the form of graphs. The software product itself is presented in the form of a web page, with built-in functionality for working with scientific materials and a database where the processed information is stored. © 2024 SPIE. A computing system that is based on the internet and offers users all resources as on-demand services. Servers, storage, databases, software, and networking are among these on-demand services. Usually, the user must pay for the use of the resources;they are not their property. The number of people using this technology is increasing dramatically as a result of these features. Although it has benefits, cloud computing poses certain security and privacy risks. The authorized user’s data can be stolen easily. This current research thoroughly investigates modern strategies to these problems, highlighting identity management protocols, effective encryption and blockchain-based solutions. The article identifies research gaps, focuses attention to the inadequacies of current approaches, and recommends the possible ways to improve the efficiency, scalability and trustworthiness. © 2025 IEEE.

The concept of risk management is habitually left unnoticed in agile software organizations, thus negatively af-fecting the project and disappointing the customer. Thus, it is mandatory to discern and rank the risks for mitigation. With this motive, this contribution has applied the Analytic Hierarchy Process decision-making technique in order to grade a list of 16 software risks discerned at the time of the risk management experiments in software enterprises. Amidst the 16 unique risks classified into distinct 'risk nature' categories entitled 'difficulties', 'changes', 'mistakes', and 'challenges', it is found that the 'challenges' is the most important one to be treated first, trailed by the 'difficulties', 'mistakes', and 'changes' categories. As per the outcome, it is acknowledged that 'right way of budget utilization', 'difficult assignments', and 'convincing clients with other alternatives' can be considered as the ultimate risks. In addition, the attempt provides a comprehension of the potential threats under the software domain and their estimated magnitude. © 2024 IEEE.

The development of software for computer modeling of the transport and diffusion of harmful substances in the atmospheric air is a valuable contribution to environmental monitoring and forecasting. The developed software tool provides monitoring and forecasting of the processes of transport and diffusion of these substances emitted by industrial enterprises. This feature can provide valuable information about the nature of dispersion and the potential environmental impact of pollutants. By simulating the velocities and trajectories of particles carrying harmful substances, the software can help identify areas with high levels of pollution, evaluate the effectiveness of mitigation measures and support decision-making processes related to the control of industrial emissions. © 2024 SPIE.
