Employee scheduling is a complex problem since it must precisely allocate resources such as time, task disposition, employee's competencies, a day off, and cost of the activity. The firefly algorithm is implemented to arrange the schedule of employees automatically and meet the rules. This algorithm allows the system to produce a list that is by applicable rules. The proposed system was designed with three steps to produce lists of employee shifts. Firstly, enter employee, job description and the last is set the employee holiday schedules. Then the system will process it and produce the desired schedule in a short time. Performance results show schedule made in 90 seconds with a success rate of 96.5% with 20 fireflies and 40 times iteration © 2020 ieEE.

Indonesia is one of the largest swallow nest producers, supported by its natural condition as the original habitat of swiftlets. The selling price of unstable products and the lack of information about the prices of products exported to the general public are the problems faced. The absence of a benchmark or source of certain product prices that cause uncertainty in determining product prices. For this reason, the prediction system is created by applying the Holt's Double Exponential Smoothing (DES) method, because this smoothing method can overcome time series data that has trend patterns. The prediction system provides a graph of the price movements of export products and price predictions for the following month. Based on testing that has been done, the results obtained mean that the Absolute Presentation Error (MAPE) is very good at 0.20%. © 2020 ieEE.

The classification of question types in the Indonesian medical domain is the important component of the medical question answering system. The strategy proposed in this paper is to build the template pattern and rule-based parser for extracting some important words using the generated feature to automatically query the classification of question. Classification aims to prove that the system is capable of classifying queries only by using the available language resources. The proposed method has been evaluated using datasets collected from various Indonesian health consultation websites. Test results from the proposed method indicated that the classification process is very effective with an accuracy of 84.33%. © 2020 ieEE.

The performance of the Intrusion Detection System (IDS) depends on the quality of the model generated in the training process. An appropriate process positively affects not only the performance but also computational time for detecting intrusions. Reliable training data can be obtained by preprocessing the dataset, which can be feature extraction, reduction, and transformation. Generally, feature selection has become the main problem. In this research, we work on that issue by developing a new method based on Feature Importance Ranking Classification. We propose to reduce the size of the dimension by combining Feature Importance Ranking to calculate the importance of each feature and Recursive Features Elimination (RFE). The results of the experiment show that the proposed method raises the performance over the existing methods. It can be proven by evaluating some metrics: Accuracy, sensitivity, specificity, and false alarm rate. © 2020 ieEE.

Network monitoring system is a system that works to observe and monitor the situation on a running computer network. Network monitoring is very important to keep the network running well and to know the current condition of the network. Generally, network monitoring requires the administrator to stay and to keep an eye in front of the monitor screen to find out any problems that occur. The administrator or the operator also need network notification problem in real time. This makes the network supervision process very dependent on time and place. This research develops a system for helping administrator or network operator to monitor the network using mobile phone at any time and any place. This monitoring process in this paper using Zabbix. In monitoring the computer network is also needed a notification. The notification of the problem in the network will be sent using Telegram Messenger. This research was conducted in Indonesian Internet Service Provider Association (APJII). The method used in this research is Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC). © 2020 ieEE.

Rainfall is influenced by several factors, such as air temperature, humidity, and wind speed. But at this time, the weather conditions in the territory of Indonesia are increasingly uncertain, making them difficult to predict. The machine can learn the prediction of rainfall. This research proposed methods to predict rainfall within 14 days using ID Convolutional Neural Networks. Weather data were obtained from a weather observation station on Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) website for ten years. First, data will be interpolated to fill in the missing value. Then the data will be segmented by overlapping and normalized to generalize the value of climate data to 0-1, including taking overlapping data to be an advantage in providing a linkage of sequential data values. Then the training and prediction process uses ID Convolutional Neural Networks. The accuracy generated using the Adam optimization model for testing data is 81.46%, and Loss is 0.0018. © 2020 ieEE.

The Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic in 2020 in Indonesia caused the Indonesian government to adopt New Normal as an adaptive step to mitigate the risk of the spread of COVID-19. The Directorate General of Customs and Excise (DGCE) as one of the government institutions participated in implementing the New Normal which affects the work patterns of employees, especially from project management. Based on interviews conducted, the implementation of the New Normal causes obstacles in project management in terms of time, cost, and performance. Therefore, top management wants to know what critical factors influence the success of a management project. This study conducted a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) and seven expert judgment to get an academic and practical view. From the results of the analysis, it is known that there are 22 critical success factors, five categories, and seven project management success criteria in DGCE with the New Normal condition. © 2020 ieEE.

Since a long time ago, biometrics has become a popular authentication method to verify users easily. Despite this advantage, the user's biometric data must be stored securely because those data cannot be replaced once it has been compromised. It is because humans cannot alter parts of his or her body. Many methods can be used to secure biometric data. One of them is the cancelable fingerprint template. However, its matching computation process is quite expensive, as many minutia points need to compare. In this paper, we optimize the number of minutia points in its selection process using a new threshold. It is to reduce the computational cost of pair-polar coordinate-based cancelable fingerprint template's matching. The experiment result shows that the proposed method achieves five times better performance than the previous method. © 2020 ieEE.

Student attendance record has an important role in the educational process. Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, as a case study, uses attendance record as the factor for final grade calculation. Many attendance recording systems were developed using biometrics, e.g. face recognition, iris recognition, and fingerprint recognition. In this study, face recognition was proposed since the face cannot be duplicated and can eliminate fraud committed by students. In addition, this contactless method could minimize the risk of COVID-19 spread with some additional treatments. The local binary pattern (LBP) was proposed in this study. This method has the ability to describe the texture and shape of an image by dividing the image into small portions of feature extraction. The result showed that the proposed system can identify students with 86% accuracy. © 2020 ieEE.
