Student attendance record has an important role in the educational process. Universitas Bhayangkara Jakarta Raya, as a case study, uses attendance record as the factor for final grade calculation. Many attendance recording systems were developed using biometrics, e.g. face recognition, iris recognition, and fingerprint recognition. In this study, face recognition was proposed since the face cannot be duplicated and can eliminate fraud committed by students. In addition, this contactless method could minimize the risk of COVID-19 spread with some additional treatments. The local binary pattern (LBP) was proposed in this study. This method has the ability to describe the texture and shape of an image by dividing the image into small portions of feature extraction. The result showed that the proposed system can identify students with 86% accuracy.

The use of information systems in an organization has become an obligation to support the organization's business process. However, the development of an Information System still often faces problems, the most important problem occurs in the requirements engineering phase where developers try to meet user needs, these problems can also increase when user needs are not following the standards in general. The objective of this research is to design a digital library information system based on the organization goal-oriented requirements engineering (OGORE) method. OGORE is a Requirements engineering method that focuses on organizational needs and is expected to eliminate the (noise) needs of users. The OGORE method has been used since its goal is to reduce the risks that arise because of user needs based on personal desires. The Development Method used is the Extreme Programming (XP) method. Data collection methods used were observation, interview, and literature study. With OGORE method, the results of a Library Information System can fulfil all the vision and mission of the library.

Food waste is a serious problem that occurs in various countries. Indonesia is a country that produces food waste, the second largest after Saudi Arabia. Currently, there are several communities who care about the issue of food waste and hunger in Indonesia. The Community collects excess food from eligible donor consumption to be distributed to people in need. They have the aim to reduce the problem of food waste and numbers starving in Indonesia. However, the process of channeling food to donors and the community is still practically a manual where the community contacts the donors one by one, so it is considered less effective. This research aims to create a system to connect the community with individuals or organizations that want to donate excess food. In order for users to give faster feedback, this system was made using the prototype methodology. At the final stage of the development, testing was carried out by involving several volunteers and 3 communities to see the completeness of the features system. FoodX system made already accommodate the needs of 2 types of food communities (with and without volunteer).

Brain-computer Interface (BCI) is a device that can connect brain commands without the need for movement, gesture, or voice. Usually, BCI uses the Electroencephalogram (EEG) signal as an intermediate device. EEG signals need to be extracted into waves that represent the action in mind. In this study used Wavelet transformation to obtain the imagery motor component from the EEG signal. However, the problem also arises in the considerable channel redundancy in EEG signal recording. Therefore, it requires a signal reduction process. This paper proposed the problem using Independent Component Analysis (icA). Then icA components are features of Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) to classify BCI information into four classes. The experimental results showed that using icA improved accuracy by up to 99.06%, compared to Wavelet and RNN only, which is only 94.06%. We examined three optimization models, particularly Adam, AdaDelta, and AdaGrad. However, two optimization models provided the best recognition capabilities, i.e., AdaDelta, and AdaGrad.

Amidst the rapid development of information technology and communication, there is a demand for fast and reliable information that results in increasingly competitive competition. To the extent of carrying out and fulfillment of public policy and governmental output, public e-services are essential. In return, public e-service becomes a matter of obtaining access, not only to the IT artifact or the service process but also to governments and governmental output in general. The main goal of this study is intended to design an initial framework for measuring the quality of e-services services. The results of the research conducted produced an initial framework for measuring the service quality of e-services. The initial framework resulting from the stages of this study consists of five main aspects: security and trust, quality of service, information quality, system quality, system support. Twenty-two factors are obtained from the results of a literature review. This study is a part of our research in designing the e-Service quality framework. Hopefully, this research can add knowledge within the field of measuring e-Services service quality and collude with other existing frameworks to enhance the quality of e-services evaluations.

Knowledge management is a universal need for all organizations, and ministerial military defense organization is no exception. Some studies have described the KM implementation in various types of organizations. However, the study that comprehensively explores the KM implementation in military organizations is still deemed lacking. Intriguingly, different cultures in a military defense organization that consisted of both military and civilian personnel may affect the perception and the implementation of KM in a unique way. This study investigated the current state of KM implementation in a ministerial defense research and development agency and its personnel perceptions regarding the definition and the impacts of KM. Semi-structured interviews across commanding officers, military personnel, and civilian cohorts were conducted to gain some insights about the KM implementation. The results showed that KM practices had been implemented in a limited way, with a heavy emphasis on knowledge internalization and sharing. Finally, some recommendations were proposed based on the findings to cater to the needs of the organization.

The user story widely studied insufficiently describes the software requirements. Many studies discuss the challenges of requirements specifications and proposed solutions. However, there are many agile methods and each method embraces different practices. Therefore, the solution has to follow each method's ceremonies. Only a few studies discuss conducted practices in requirements specification development with the agile method and there are no studies that discuss practices comparisons among these methods. In this paper, we performed a systematic literature review to gather the available studies in procuring a current insight into the requirements engineering practices incorporate into the agile method. This study aims to map the variability and commonality practices among agile methods. The various and standard agile RE practices show crucial practices in the requirements specification development process. Moreover, it gives information on practices from other methods that increase the success of requirements specification development. From the systematic literature review, we found a total of 12 studies relevant to the study. There are eight variability and commonality practices between Scrum, XP, and Lean methods.

Addressing different learner's characteristics and needs is a critical issue in the process of learning. The advent of adaptive e-Learning technology has made it possible to tailor learning materials for different learner characteristics including learning styles. Delivering matching learning objects and strategies through an adaptive e-Learning system is believed to have a profound impact on learner's learning performance. A body of research has offered various personalization strategies including learning object mapping according to learning styles. This paper focused on exploring how the learning objects are mapped to Felder-Silverman learning styles and the effect of implementing such approach. In this paper, 15 relevant publications were reviewed in order to gain some insights into the implementation of learning styles-based personalization. Based on the insights found this study proposed a conceptual learning object mapping and personalization strategies. The findings and recommendations of this study can be utilized as the basis to build an adaptive e-Learning system based on Felder-Silverman Learning Style Model (FSLSM).

Face recognition is a technology that is widely used in the field of security and biometrics. Every human face has unique features such as the shape of the jaw and the contours of the face. In this study, face detection was carried out using the Phase Only Correlation (POC) method. POC is a face detection method based on the highest correlation value from the calculation of the phase and magnitude of an image. The data used in this study is in the form of facial images in RGB format. Stages of the study were divided into two, namely preprocessing and processing. The pre-processing stage includes the Region of Interest (ROI), image segmentation, grayscale transformation, and Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT). The processing phase includes Cross Spectrum, Inverse Cross Spectrum values, and correlation calculation. There are three testing schemes carried out in this study, namely testing of variations in lighting levels, expressions, and facial positions. From the results of the study, different face positions produce incorrect detection results because changes in the position of the image being tested make changes in the frequency distribution of the phase and magnitude values.

The Indonesian government has sought to implement good governance by issuing a series of laws and regulations in governing the management of state finances. The State Audit Agency (BPK) has the responsibility to conduct finance audit of the government institution based on established auditing standards. One of the strategies that has become the focus of BPK in encouraging auditors to utilize IT services optimally in the audit process. However, based on the performance accountability report IT utilization only reach 80.84% with original target of 97.87%. Thus, this study aims to analyze the factors that become the obstacles in the use of IT in the audit process. The factor was categorized in four dimensions which are technological, organization, environment and human. The data was collected using questionnaire and 115 valid data were analyzed using entropy method to assess the weight of each factors. The results shown that human dimension is the most importance factor to be considered by BPK in IT utilization. However, based on current condition the technological factor need to be improvement urgently since it is the most cited barrier by the respondents.
