The analog data acquisition system developed in this paper is integrated into the remote interface unit of aircraft. It uses the high certainty and high real-time performance of the IEEE-1394B bus to realize information interaction with the aircraft backbone network, and participates in sensor closed-loop regulation and state information feedback. Using DSP + FPGA architecture, the functions of bus communication, high-speed data acquisition and decoupling control are realized. The normalization design of analog data acquisition is realized by using table driving and dynamic switching technology. The method of error calibration is applied to realize high-precision acquisition. The system software is divided into acquisition layer, interpretation layer and application layer, which has strong portability. The experimental results show that the acquisition accuracy is high, which can meet the requirements of aircraft analog data acquisition. The system developed has the characteristics of high real-time, generalization, miniaturization and strong data processing ability. © 2021 IEEE.

In cooperative networks, to reduce the interference communication among the coordination of cells a relays setup introduced between multiple inputs multiple output (MIMO) designs. In this paper, Cooperative MIMO (C-MIMO) is utilized for efficient energy technologies. For sake of best performance of Wireless the sensor networks (WSNs), the bit inter-leaved coded modulation (BICM) and bit inter-leaved coded modulation with iterative decoding (BICM-ID) code are utilized. The simulation results demonstrate that for BICM and BICM-ID the cooperative communication scheme exceeds the single input single output (SISO) technique. Under the different statistical distributions over the WSNs the bit error rate (BER) is analyzed for the system.

The paper proposes a prototype of an Intelligent Collision Avoidance and Driver Assistant System. It avoids vehicle accidents by detecting obstacles and provides a greatest security to the driver in drowsiness condition and communicates to the other vehicles for safety alerts in different scenarios. Here, Ultrasonic sensor and IR sensor placed in the car for front obstacle detection and ambient obstacle detection respectively. While the obstacle is detected by continuous distance measurement which is carried out by microcontroller, the system starts applying the brake within a safe limit of 50 cm. The warning is provided using buzzer to the driver to take a safe action to avoid collision. The lane departure protocol is also designed and maintained in the system by checking the respective indicator status. The inter vehicle communication is done by broadcasting safety messages using RF modems with controlled flooding feature. The ARM 7 TDMI microcontroller is used for controlling purpose and information data is displayed on LCD.

A modified multirate controller for networked control systems with a send-on-delta transmission method

This paper is concerned with designing of a multirate controller over a network in which a sensor node transmits data to the controller node only if its measurement value changes more than a given specified 15 value. When the send-on-delta transmission method is used, it is not ensured that the controller node receives data from the sensor nodes regularly at every control updating period. We thus propose a modified Kalman filter in which states of the plant are regularly estimated even if there is no sensor data reception. An optimal LQG controller is then designed in order to minimize the quadratic cost function of state and control effort. By providing the upper and lower bounds of the cost function, we prove that the proposed multirate controller is stable with the given 15 value, which is a trade-off parameter between control performance and data transmission rate. Through numerical simulations, we demonstrate the feasibility and the usefulness of the proposed control method.

Heart rate variability (HRV) measurement is very much essential to determine the heart's health and it's functioning. The real-time HRV measurement helps physicians to assess the physiological state of a person or a patient. Several personal HRV monitoring devices have been developed and put to use in different ways. However, less has been explored, when it comes to leveraging the benefits of internet-of-things (IoT) and cloud technology for real-time HRV monitoring using wireless sensor networks. This work describes an implementation of an IoT cloud-based HRV monitoring application using a low-power embedded microcontroller interfaced to a Wi-Fi embedded network processor. An ECG analog frontend AD8232 was wired to a low-power microcontroller MSP430, and the micro-controller was interfaced to CC3100 Wi-Fi booster pack through a serial peripheral interface (SPI) for acquiring the wireless transmission capability. The microcontroller was programmed to acquire the data from the analog frontend by enabling the timer interrupt control. The ECG peak detection algorithm was implemented on the microcontroller to derive heart rate and inter-beat-interval (IBI) values. The real-time heart rate values were streamed to PubNub IoT web interface using TCP/IP stack on Wi-Fi booster. The data from PubNub channel was visualized using *** dashboard. The experimental results confirm the suitability of implemented wireless sensor node for real-time HRV monitoring and to implement multi-parameter healthcare monitoring IoT applications.

The electric grid has of late been embracing the advances in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) for improving efficiency, reliability, securit), and sustathability of electrical services. Naturally, Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are promising alternatives for pervasive communications, monitoring and control in the next generation electric grid - smart grid, given their capability to cover large geographic regions at low-cost. This work begins with an overview of the diverse applications of WSN in smart grid along with their inherent challenges. A simple and intelligent online temperature monitoring system to measure conductor temperature and design dynamic thermal rating systems in smart grid, is also presented keeping in view the limited battery power of the nodes. Finally, the challenge of poor link quality on coverage area extension is dealt with by performing experimental tests on IEEE 802.15.4 compliant wireless sensor nodes in laboratory settings and validating the results through statistical analysis. Virtual Instrumentation technology has been used for majority of the work, given the intuitive graphical interface and ease of remote monitoring and control, essential to the realization of a smarter electric grid.

The widespread deployment of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in diverse types of applications motivated the development of strong security measures to protect these networks. The main challenge against deploying strong security algorithms is that WSNs suffer from major constraints in terms of power and computing resources. WSNs impose a primary condition on the design stage that requires any protocol or algorithm to be power-efficient. This means that strong cryptography techniques cannot be used and we need another layer of defence to protect the WSN. This makes intrusion detection systems (IDSs) an essential option in these networks. IDSs can capture malicious misbehaviour that manages to penetrate the first layer of defence (i.e., cryptography and authentication). In this paper we highlight the challenges encountered while designing an efficient intrusion detection framework in WSNs, and provide a review of important contributions in this area. Finally, we propose a new approach that aids in detecting and confining intrusive behaviour in the network.

University of Lampung (Unila) as an academic institution should provide the internet service for thousands of users, monitoring the condition of electricity (Voltage, Current, Power factor, Power, and Energy consumption measurement) at ICT center building has an important role, as a part of maintenance lifecycle to make sure the internet services running well, system monitoring implemented in order to know the quality of electricity supply in the system, identifying disruption events, and to calculate the amount of electrical energy usage periodically. In this research we made an application to monitor the electrical quantities in real time, and shown the statistic reports through web interface. This research was conducted on the 3-Phase electricity network at ICT center building Unila. Monitoring of voltage was done by using a step-down transformator as voltage sensor, and Current Transformer SCT-013 100A as current sensor. Energy, Power, and Power Factor value was obtained by some of scientific calculation. Python programming language was used to develop the application, mainly for data acquisition and calculation that run on BCM2835 Embedded Single Board Computer. The result of this research shown that energy consumption for each Phase was not in balance, 1st and 2nd Phase mostly high load during working hours only, while 3rd Phase energy consumption relatively stable at all time, this happen because 3rd Phase connected to Data Center which consist of several server and network equipment that always online for 24 hours.

In the recent decade, datacenters have emerged to play an increasingly important role in cloud-based computing systems. It is shown that wireless sensor networks (sensornets) can provide fine-grained measurement and flexible coverage for the datacenter platform, and help achieve better control and energy efficiency [1]-[3]. In these applications, sensor nodes are only passive information receivers, and the use has so far been limited to auxiliary functions as an intelligent replacement of the traditional wired and embedded sensors. We argue that the combined computational and networking capability of a sensor network enables it to interact with server clusters in a much more sophisticated way and perform essential functions in the datacenter system. We design a technology to incorporating the sensornet as a core part of the datacenter system and improve datacenter management and operations. The sensornet can be easily deployed in a cluster, with sensor nodes attached in an ad hoc manner to the compute servers, and provide key system functions including reprogramming, supplementary authentication, and network signaling. The datacenter administrator can manage a large number of servers through the multihop sensor network, verify the participating servers to be legitimate entities within the datacenter, and improve performance through a low-bandwidth but intelligent wireless network. Our initial results have shown that the system eliminates some of the security problems present in current LAN network based datacenter management system; and that the sensornet provides good physical authentication function without introducing long delays in cluster-wide operations.

A humanoid robot similar to a human is structurally unstable, so the push recovery control is essential. The proposed push recovery controller consists of a IMU sensor part, a high-level push recovery controller and a low-level push recovery controller. The IMU sensor part measures the linear velocity and angular velocity and transmits it to the high-level push recovery controller. The high-level push recovery controller selects the strategy of the low-level push recovery controller based on the stability region. The stability region is improved using the DQN(Deep Q-network) of the reinforcement learning method. The low-level push recovery controller consists of a ankle, hip and step strategies. Each strategy is analyzed using LIPM(Linear Inverted Pendulum Model). Based on the analysis, the actuators corresponding to each strategy are controlled.
