internet of Things (IoT) and Cloud computing paradigm is a next wave in the era of computing and it has been identified as one of the emerging technologies in the field of Computer Science and Information technology. It has been understood from the review reports that integration of IoT and Cloud computing is in its infantile phase and it has not been extended to all application domains due to its inadequate security architecture. Hence, in this paper a novel integrated secured and intelligent architecture for the internet of Things and Cloud computing is proposed. This is a unique intelligent architecture adoptable for the public to access diversified smart applications and services distributed in the cloud, anywhere, anytime, any device and any network irrespective of the underlying technologies in a smart environment. The cloud services are integrated and connected through a novel IP/MPLS (internet Protocol/ Multiprotocol Label Switching) core. Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) is used to ensure complete protection against the security risks such as confidentiality, integrity, privacy and authentication. This model eliminates ambiguity, ensures security with enhanced performance and realizes the vision of "one intelligent smart card for any applications and transactions". The performance of the proposed architecture is tested by establishing a test bed in a simulated environment and the results are reported.

Cloud technology is moving towards more distribution across multi-clouds and the inclusion of various devices, as evident through IoT and network integration in the context of edge cloud and fog computing. Generally, lightweight virtualisation solutions are beneficial for this architectural setting with smaller, but still virtualised devices to host application and platform services, and the logistics required to manage this. Containerisation is currently discussed as a lightweight virtualisation solution. In addition to having benefits over traditional virtual machines in the cloud in terms of size and flexibility, containers are specifically relevant for platform concerns typically dealt with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) clouds such as application packaging and orchestration. For the edge cloud environment, application and service orchestration can help to manage and orchestrate applications through containers as an application packaging mechanism. We review edge cloud requirements and discuss the suitability container and cluster technology of that arise from having to facilitate applications through distributed multi-cloud platforms build from a range of networked nodes ranging from data centres to small devices, which we refer to here as edge cloud.

For information on the internet, by using concepts defined in the format that can be processed by machine, various researches have been made so that a computer understands the Web contents. This is called the Semantic Web, and its practical way has been promoted as Linked Open Data (LOD). When creating an application of interest dataset that was created as an LOD at other places, the URL of a concerned LOD is required to use. However, in order to obtain the URL of the LOD, some work like searching or collecting is required to the application author. Thus we propose to create a system to have or collect the relationship between classes, the class itself and its index into the LOD over all created LOD sites as many as possible. In this article, we present an approach of collecting and sharing the class information created in different place, and the information also is stored as another LOD dataset which can be retrieved by SPARQL.

It is too fast. The advances of the computing technology are moving very fast and far from the era of gigantic machine. This advanced technology offers easy, fast and wide range of computing activities particularly users who want to use the internet, regardless of time and place. In addition, this advanced technology can also connect more communication tool. At the same time, greater storage platform is also available as mobile computing cloud computing architecture adopted to carry out computer activities. However, the larger the network which is connected to a computer, the more susceptible the computer to the outside threats. Indirectly, the communication system and the information stored in the computer are also exposed. Therefore, in this paper, we has discussed on the evolution of the computing which begin with the distributed system until recent computing technology which we called Mobile Big Data computing. Besides, in this paper, we define the term Mobile Big Data computing. Our discussion focuses on the information security aspects for the security of storage and transmitted data. With the advent of the cyber world around us today and how students are immersed and became to it, there is growing concern on how it affects their life. Social network sites(SNSs) like Twitter, Whats App and Facebook are now popularly used among students especially in tertiary institutions in Northern Nigeria. This paper basically attempts to investigate the impacts of Social Network Addiction among the students of tertiary institutions in Northern Nigeria and the level at which the students are addicted to it. In addition the paper also examines the various social media sites mostly used by students and the frequency at which they make use of such facilities. The descriptive survey research method was used with structured questionnaire designed based on the research questions. Five tertiary institutions in Katsina state were used. A total of eight hundred(800) copies of questionnaires were distributed out of which 715 were retrieved. Data gathered was analyzed using frequency count and simple percentages. It was gathered that frequent and too much use of SNSs negatively affects the students' performances in tertiary education across Northern Nigeria. Recommendations were then made, that students should learn how to manage their time appropriately and also use the social media to improve and promote learning their activities.

Equilibrium Balking Strategy in an Unobservable GI/M/c Queue with Customers' Impatience

We consider an equilibrium threshold balking strategy in an unobservable GI/M/c queue with customers' impatience. Upon arriving a customer decides whether to join or balk the queue based on random probability known as joining probability (f). Once a customer decides to join the system it initiates an impatient timer with random duration T, such that, if customers' service is not completed before the timer expires, the customer abandons the system. The waiting time of a customer in system has been associated with a linear cost-reward structure for estimating the net benefit if a customer chooses to participate in the system. The study has been limited to unobservable queue where the information regarding system-length is unknown to the arriving customer. The proposed analysis is based on a root of the characteristic equation formed using the probability generating function of embedded pre-arrival epoch probabilities. Therefore, we obtain the stationary system-length distribution at pre-arrival and arbitrary epochs and thereby we obtain mean system sojourn time. Finally, we present numerical results in the form of graphs for observing net benefit against different model parameters. The proposed model has applications in the modeling of balking and impatient behavior of incoming calls in a call center, multi-core computing, multi-path routing in delay sensitive communications networks.
