internetcomputing is now a blooming technology which refers to multiple independent computing units working together over the internet. The computing or calculating units are processor-memory pairs which distribute over one or more computers networked by information links over the internet. It is important to maintain a highly efficient computing environment, namely, computing reliability. However, very few literature concerns this issue. This chapter proposes an evaluation method for the computing reliability in internetcomputing. A numerical example is presented for exploring the proposed method. The results show that the proposed method is helpful in the evaluation of computing reliability for internetcomputing applications.

The internet of Things pertains to connecting currently unconnected things and people. It is the new era in transforming the existed systems to amend the cost effective quality of services for the society. To support Smart city vision, Urban IoT design plans exploit added value services for citizens as well as administration of the city with the most advanced communication technologies. To make emergency response real time, IoT enhances the way first responders and provides emergency managers with the necessary up-to-date information and communication to make use those assets. IoT mitigates many of the challenges to emergency response including present problems like a weak communication network and information lag. In this paper it is proposed that an emergency response system for fire hazards is designed by using IoT standardized structure. To implement this proposed scheme a low-cost Espressif wi-fi module ESP-32, Flame detection sensor, Smoke detection sensor (MQ-5), Flammable gas detection sensor and one GPS module are used. The sensors detects the hazard and alerts the local emergency rescue organizations like fire departments and police by sending the hazard location to the cloud-service through which all are connected. The overall network utilizes a light weighted data oriented publish-subscribe message protocol MQTT services for fast and reliable communication. Thus, an intelligent integrated system is designed with the help of IoT.

This paper provides an overview of the quality of service experience from the viewpoint of the customer's perceived of mobile broadband services. However, it must be admitted that the quality of service and quality of experience have different parameters. Using a quantitative descriptive analysis of active testing a number of data packets were sent to the communication line to measure the six Quality of Service parameters using the LIRNEasia Benchmarking approach, the results explained that the average achievement was at about 20-50% of 1 Mbps from the Indonesia Broadband Plan, while the latency, jitter, packet loss, and network availability parameters provided by ISPs are generally within the un-conform range of the benchmarks. We conclude that empirical data are found in which customers want improved service quality compared to the current perceived quality.

IoT has gained significant popularity and securing such mission critical network remains a big concern. There are already reports of misusing such system. Recently there were reports of sending spam from a refrigerator. Bigger risk of security in IoT is that unrelated systems are connected and if any attacker gets into one object, it could result in harming much bigger segment. Also such connected networks will really be disconnected in terms of management and applied policies. So applying secured policy at each network segment will only help at certain level but it would not be feasible to secure whole ecosystem of IoT devices/objects. Security has been identified as one of the biggest challenge in IoT segment and there are no solid specs or techniques to come over these issue end to end. This paper outlines use of machine learning combining with interesting dimensions like layer characteristics of IoT device's network stack. Paper also provides example of layer characteristics, which are specific to a device, and creating a baseline of such characteristics using machine learning algorithm will help in establishing the identity of IoT devices without the need of sophisticated PKI infrastructure.

The development of surveillance camera technology begins to move from a traditional surveillance camera to an IP surveillance camera which can integrate to other device. On the traditional surveillance camera, its media storage usually applied by using a memory card. The use of this kind storage is not efficient because it requires a transfer mechanism of recorded data manually from the memory card to other media storage. The surveillance IP camera has the capability to transfer data based on internet Protocol. However, maintaining complex media storage such as a storage server needs a financing. This financing can be decreased or also eliminated by utilizing the cloud storage service. The captured image by the surveillance camera sometimes can create noises. The noises are affected by a camera sensor because of the lack of the light in a room. The noises in the image can degrade an image quality. Denoising technique can be used to reduce these noises. Even so, the use of this technique can produce a blurred image. In this study, a surveillance embedded IP camera is going to be designed which can perform the image uploading process to the cloud storage and reduces the image noises automatically.

India is one of the developing countries facing difficulties with shortage of power resources, availability of energy due to ever increasing population. Over dependency on fossil fuel can cause problems that affect the next generation to survive. In the current context, it is very important to know how to minimize the energy consumption and how to adapt various energy efficient techniques at least for power limited systems to overcome the energy crisis. Many research works are carried out and people are looking for a clean and better solution for the next generations. The new era internet of Things has given a new dimension leads to an energy efficient management system. internet of Things can overcome the existing energy wastage problems to a great extent. IoT is a combination of electronic devices like sensors and intelligent software applications to build an effective data exchange network. In this paper, it is proposed that smart street light design which is one of the basic ideas in reducing wastage of power as in the concept of building a flexible smart city management plan which is essential to the prosperous life of the future generations residing in city environments. To implement this scheme a low-cost Wi-Fi module ESP8266, Light-dependent sensor and ultrasonic sensor are used. Here the LDR sensor is used ON-OFF the street light based on the ambient intensity level. This switching can be done by ESP8266 after reading the LDR value. The need of Ultrasonic sensor comes into picture when a vehicle or a person comes in the range, the light glows with 100%brightness otherwise, the street light glows with less intensity (60%). This avoids unnecessary power waste during the night when there is no sign of vehicle or pedestrian. Thus by using these two sensors, an intelligent automatic light is designed with the help of IoT frame work which is energy efficient.
