Rice is the major food of approximately half world population and thousands of rice varieties are planted in the world. The identification of rice varieties is of great significance, especially to the breeders. In this study, a feasible method for rapid identification of rice varieties was developed. For each rice variety, rice grains per plant were imaged and analyzed to acquire grain shape features and a weighing device was used to obtain the yield-related parameters. Then, a Support Vector Machine (SVM) classifier was employed to discriminate the rice varieties by these features. The average accuracy for the grain traits extraction is 98.41 %, and the average accuracy for the SVM classifier is 79.74 % by using cross validation. The results demonstrated that this method could yield an accurate identification of rice varieties and could be integrated into new knowledge in developing computer vision systems used in automated rice-evaluated system.

Several information technology enterprises have decided to migrate into cloud for their computing and storage requirements in order to get reliable software and high performance hardware resources in a cost-effective manner. A single cloud service cannot fulfill the functional requirements in several real-world situations. Then, the concept of composite cloud service is introduced to bundle single cloud services to satisfy the complex end-users' requirements. However, there is no formal approaches that can verify the behavioral correctness of cloud composite services automatically. In this paper, we address this shortcoming by developing an automatic transformation tool. This tool takes as input the Business Process Execution Language (BPEL) processes in charge of the services composition and the behavior description of participating services and produces the Interpreted Systems Programming Language+ (ISPL+) models that include all possible interactions among participating agents through intermediate object representations. The tool also capitalizes on the most widely used BPEL constructs and includes a transformation algorithm for each BPEL construct. Our tool is the first one that considers the interactions among invoked services. Such interactions are formally modeled by the social commitment modality in the Computation Tree Logic for Commitments (CTLC) logic. The generated ISPL+ agent models can be verified using the MCMAS+ symbolic model checker developed for multi-agent communication.

By 2020, next generation (5G) cellular networks are expected to support a 1000 fold traffic increase. To meet such traffic demands, Base Station (BS) densification through small cells are deployed. However, BSs are costly and consume over half of the cellular network energy. Meanwhile, Cloud Radio Access Networks (C-RAN) has been proposed as an energy efficient architecture that leverage cloud computing technology where baseband processing is performed in the cloud. With such an arrangement, more energy gains can be acquired through statistical multiplexing by reducing the number of BBUs used. This paper proposes a green Intelligent Traffic and Resource Elastic Energy (iTREE) scheme for C-RAN. In iTREE, BBUs are reduced by matching the right amount of baseband processing with traffic load. This is a bin packing problem where items (BS aggregate traffic) are to be packed into bins (BBUs) such that the number of bins used are minimized. Idle BBUs can then be switched off to save energy. Simulation results show that iTREE can reduce BBUs by up to 97% during off peak and 66% at peak times with RAN power reductions of up to 27% and 18% respectively compared with conventional deployments.

Recent technology advances in wireless mobile communications, sensor networks, machine-to-machine communications, and Cloud computing enable a Cloud-centric internet of Things (IoT) paradigm which may have a significant impact on development, deployment, and utilization of IoT applications. Device-to-Device (D2D) communication is an emerging technology for improving cellular networks, which play a crucial role in realizing such a new IoT paradigm. Resource allocation is a key technical issue for achieving high-performance data transportation in cellular networks with D2D communications. Game theory has been applied as an effective tool for addressing the problem of resource allocation for D2D communications in cellular networks. Our previous work [1] proposed a resource allocation scheme for intercell D2D communication, which introduced location-awareness in D2D resource allocation. In this paper, we extend our previous work by particularly analyzing the situations where the game model for D2D resource allocation does not have a Nash Equilibrium within the resource constraints given by the studied system. We model the resource allocation for such situations as a cooperative game between the base stations of two cells where a pair of D2D users are located, and develop an algorithm for determining the bandwidth allocation at each station for maximizing the total utility of both stations. Such an algorithm, with integrated with the resource allocation protocol developed in [1], enables a context-aware D2D resource allocation in cellular networks that choose different strategies for different system situations.

distributed video coding (DVC) is a recent paradigm of video coding, based on distributed source coding and side information (SI) generated at the Decoder. Most of the DVC schemes are using complex channel codes such as LDPC or Turbo codes, which are increasing the decoder complexity and delay. Many searches have been done to simplfy the coding schemes, one of them was done by replacing the channel coding by a simple source coding. In this paper, we taken one of those DVC schemes which is based on block classification at the decoder combined with a new residual computing method based on modular arithmetic in conjunction with simple entropy coding. And, we propose to improve its performance by using a mode decision at the encoder side in addition to a parametric change in the residual computing method, with keeping the simplicity of source coding.

Community networks are IP networks constantly being improved that evolve into large-scale computing platforms. This has resulted from the effort to adapt the cloud computing model towards services that can operate and utilize the resources inside the community network. The network and its infrastructure are contributed by individuals, companies, organizations and are maintained by the community itself. Community cloud devices are often low computing resource devices, such as home gateways, with limited capabilities. Currently, these devices are configured to run community services only. This has become a drawback for further adoption because of contributor's difficulty to also use the donated cloud device for private purposes. We apply container-based virtualization for the problem of resource sharing in low-capacity devices in order to create a multi-purpose execution environment in a single device. Thus, a single device can be configured to deliver to the user and the community a multi-purpose environment, such as personal and public, isolated from one another, while preserving the community cloud services. Our comparative analysis with the current infrastructure in community networks gives evidence that the capability of the devices to run concurrent services is maintained.

It is too fast. The advances of the computing technology are moving very fast and far from the era of gigantic machine. This advanced technology offers easy, fast and wide range of computing activities particularly users who want to use the internet, regardless of time and place. In addition, this advanced technology can also connect more communication tool. At the same time, greater storage platform is also available as mobile computing cloud computing architecture adopted to carry out computer activities. However, the larger the network which is connected to a computer, the more susceptible the computer to the outside threats. Indirectly, the communication system and the information stored in the computer are also exposed. Therefore, in this paper, we has discussed on the evolution of the computing which begin with the distributed system until recent computing technology which we called Mobile Big Data computing. Besides, in this paper, we define the term Mobile Big Data computing. Our discussion focuses on the information security aspects for the security of storage and transmitted data. Two of the most important drivers of current telecommunication markets are the development of Rich Communication Services (RCS) and cloud computing. The challenges of delivering these new services on a cloud-based architecture are not only on the technical side, they also concern the definition of feasible business models for all the involved agents and the definition and negotiation of proper service level agreements at different levels. This work proposes to provide telecommunication operators with cloud-based infrastructures capable of offering customers innovative and reliable rich communication services based on their phone numbers that cannot be replicated by the internet competitors in terms of flexibility, scalability or security. This Mobiquity as a Service model (MaaS) allows telecommunication providers to maintain relevance for their clients offering not only the common communication services (instant messaging, group communication and chat, file sharing or enriched calls services) but also a new kind of mobiquiotus services related to mobile marketing, smart places, internet of Things or health care;exploiting all the competitive advantages associated to the development of a vertical cloud in a dynamic and heterogeneous ecosystem. In addition, the infrastructure layer needed to support the new proposed model is defined and a first prototype is deployed and evaluated with two real use cases.

Cloud computing is a technology that being widely adopted by many organizations like Google, Microsoft etc in order to make the resources available to multiple users at a time over the internet. Many issues are identified due to which cloud computing is not adopted by all users till now. The aim of this paper is to analyze the performance of the encryption algorithms in order to improve the data integrity in SaaS cloud. The proposed modified algorithm encrypts the data from different users using cryptographic algorithms namely: RSA, Bcrypt and AES. The algorithm is selected by user based on the level of security needed to be applied to the user's data. Performance analysis of the given framework and algorithm is done using CloudSim. From our obtained results this could be easily found that the time taken for encryption of data using the discussed framework and proposed algorithms is much less in comparison to various other techniques.
