The Semantic Web and internet of Things visions are converging toward the so-called Semantic Web of Things (SWoT), joining semantic-based intelligence and pervasiveness. Existing Semantic Web reasoners are currently impractical for SWoT, as they are resource consuming and optimized for standard inference tasks on large ontologies. On the contrary, SWoT use cases generally require quick resource discovery and decision support through semantic matchmaking in low CPU/memory and battery-powered devices. This paper presents a novel mobile inference engine designed from the ground up for the SWoT. It supports Semantic Web technologies and implements both standard (subsumption, satisfiability, classification) and non-standard (abduction, contraction, covering) inference services for moderately expressive knowledge bases. In addition to an architectural and functional description, a case study is presented in the ubiquitous Semantic Web and a performance evaluation is provided on a smartphone testbed.

Faced with the excessive opportunity, mobile service providers have unconstrained a variability of services, such as mobile instant messaging, mobile shopping and location-based services (LBS). Location-based service is a social media tool that allows users to write short text messages to public and private networks. This research focuses specifically on the mobile services on LBS. The main purposes of this study are to investigate and compare what recommendation sources influence the intention to use LBS and to combine gender, daily internet hour usage and past use experience to infer the usage of LBSs decision rules using a dominace-based rough-set approach. Data for this study were collected from 398 users and potential users. The analysis is grounded in the taxonomy of induction-related activities using a domiance-based rough set approach to infer the usage of LBSs decision rules. Finally, the study of the nature of LBS reflects essential practical and academic value.

Mobile Healthcare (mHealth) systems use mobile smartphones and portable sensor kits to provide improved and affordable healthcare solutions to underserved communities or to individuals with reduced mobility who need regular monitoring. The architectural constraints of such systems provide a variety of computing challenges: the distributed nature of the system;mobility of the persons and devices involved;asynchrony in communication;security, integrity and authenticity of the data collected;and a plethora of administrative domains and the legacy of installed electronic health/medical systems. The volume of data collected can be very large;together with the data, there is a large amount of metadata as well. We argue that certain metadata are essential for interpreting the data and assessing their quality. There is great variety in the kinds of medical data and metadata, the methods by which they are collected and administrative constraints on where they may be stored, which suggest the need for flexible distributed data repositories. There also are concerns about the veracity of the data, as well as interesting questions about who owns the data and who may access them. We argue that traditional notions of relational databases, and security techniques such as access control and encryption of communications are inadequate. Instead, end-to-end systematic (from sensor to cloud) information flow techniques need to be applied for integrity and secrecy. These need to be adapted towork with the volume and diversity of data collected, and in a federated collection of administrative domains where data from different domains are subject to different information flow policies.

For information on the internet, by using concepts defined in the format that can be processed by machine, various researches have been made so that a computer understands the Web contents. This is called the Semantic Web, and its practical way has been promoted as Linked Open Data (LOD). When creating an application of interest dataset that was created as an LOD at other places, the URL of a concerned LOD is required to use. However, in order to obtain the URL of the LOD, some work like searching or collecting is required to the application author. Thus we propose to create a system to have or collect the relationship between classes, the class itself and its index into the LOD over all created LOD sites as many as possible. In this article, we present an approach of collecting and sharing the class information created in different place, and the information also is stored as another LOD dataset which can be retrieved by SPARQL.

internet addictions, stress, different types of dependencies and poor diets have generated detrimental effects on the educational, relationship and work-related characteristics of young generation. The aim of this study was to develop a multidimensional cloud-based application which combines different aspects of lifestyle. This tool is used by students from two universities from Romania, University of Medicine and Pharmacy Victor Babes Timisoara and University Politehnica Timisoara. The student answer to questions regarding age, gender, ethnicity, location, height, weight, dependency of internet, level of stress, consumption of alcohol, cigarettes, coffee and energy drinks, sleep schedule, daily diet, and mealtimes. The answers of students will be saved in a cloud database and the application will calculate useful lifestyle parameters. The data is anonymized and secured and the HL7 standard ensures high connectivity to other medical applications. Using emotion-oriented computing and lifestyle questions, the application can monitor and limit different addiction habits, improving lifestyle.

With the introduction of novel standardized web technologies such as WebGL, 3D virtual environments (VEs) are making their way into the web. Concurrently, resource rich mobile devices, such as smartphones and tablets, have become the primary access medium for the web. This paper introduces a method called RADE that enables resource-aware P2P-assisted 3D asset delivery in a web browser using WebRTC. Use of P2P technology in 3D asset delivery can (1) decrease the load on 3D asset servers;(2) decrease the application response times;and (3) reduce the operational costs of VE service providers. The performance and resource fairness of RADE was evaluated in real-life wireless networks using a prototype implementation. Based on the results, RADE can significantly reduce the server load and the 3D asset delivery times especially when 3D asset servers are under heavy load. For instance, with a scarce server bandwidth of 2Mbps, use of RADE resulted in 55% shorter 3D asset delivery times on average. Although RADE has been developed for 3D asset delivery, it is applicable for many types of web applications, including video delivery.

Recently, cloud computing has been widely used for the purpose of protecting client data on the internet [1, 2]. But cloud computing has a character of slow response time because the data center is located in a remote place. In order to solve the problem, real-time distributed systems for cloud computing system has been proposed [3, 5, 6]. The cloud system consists of some intelligent nodes as well as a data center. The data center manages all of client data. The intelligent node provides client service near clients. It enables to provide client service at short response time[3]. We considered the reliability model of distributed information processing for cloud computing, derived cost effectiveness and discussed the optimal replication interval to minimize it [9]. Authors had deal with the server system with one failure mode. In this paper, we consider the reliability model of realtime distributed system with n intelligent nodes and formulate a stochastic model of the server system with n failure modes. We derive the expected numbers of the replication and of application processing. Further, we derive the expected cost and discuss an optimal replication interval to minimize it.
