Emerging context frameworks enable Websites to interact with the internet of Things directly from the browser;however, Websites must be specifically designed to utilize such context framework support. As such, the majority of "legacy" Websites remains context-unaware. This paper presents an open approach for dynamically injecting context-awareness capabilities into legacy Websites on-demand, without requiring browser extensions, proxies or Website reengineering. Towards this end, we developed an extensible Bookmarklet framework that serves as a conduit between the user's browser and a server-side repository of enhancement plug-ins, which can used to dynamically augment any 3rd party Website with new content, adapted behavior and context framework support.

With the growing maturity of the cloud computing paradigm, clouds are increasingly used for the delivery of complex multimedia services, rather than just simple infrastructure offers. A popular example of such services is cloud gaming, where video games are executed in the cloud and delivered to a (mobile) client via the internet. While cloud gaming shifts the computationally complex and energetically expensive task of rendering the game content from the client to a server, it also requires the constant, energy-demanding use of wireless interfaces. In this work, we examine this trade-off based on a custom-designed mobile cloud gaming system called ***. Our experiments, which involve different mobile phones, varying game complexities, and various streaming quality levels, indicate that cloud gaming may facilitate substantial energy saving between 12% and 38% on the mobile device if WLAN is used as network connection type.

We present the PyHST2 code which is in service at ESRF for phase-contrast and absorption tomography. This code has been engineered to sustain the high data flow typical of the 3rd generation synchrotron facilities (10 terabytes per experiment) by adopting a distributed and pipelined architecture. The code implements, beside a default filtered backprojection reconstruction, iterative reconstruction techniques with a priori knowledge. These latter are used to improve the reconstruction quality or in order to reduce the required data volume or the deposited dose to the sample and reach a given quality goal. The implemented a priori knowledge techniques are based on the total variation penalization and a new recently found convex functional which is based on overlapping patches. We give details of the different methods and discuss how they are implemented in the PyHST2 code, which is distributed under free license. We provide methods for estimating, in the absence of ground-truth data, the optimal parameters values for a priori techniques. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

6LoWPAN being one among the enabling technologies of the vision, internet of Things, brings forward the sensor networks into the world of internet through the effective implementation of IPv6 on constrained devices. Even then, in-order to avail the numerous services provided by the sensor networks ubiquitously and with ease, there is a need to be cognizant of the available services, identity of nodes providing the desired services and the means to access. In this paper, we present an 6LoWPAN based architecture of sensor/actuator nodes, that employ Simple Service Location Protocol(SSLP), and respond to all service related queries from the user devices. The system implements Constrained Application Protocol(CoAP) a RESTful Architecture to leverage service access similar to HTTP transactions. The proposed architecture also integrates various protocols, defined specific to the constrained LoWPANs like, Neighbor Discovery(ND) Protocol, and Routing Protocol for Low power lossy networks(RPL) for interactions between traditional IP networks and the 6LoWPAN network.

Therefore, the purpose of this article is to solve this common challenging problem of how to share the huge number of structured financial data and semi-structured XBRL data. Combining the related cloud computingtechnology with the XBRL technology, a technical architecture and implementation of semi-structured XBRL data and structured data exchange system based on Hadoop cluster is proposed in this study.
