In this paper, we describe 3-D display in the aspect of communication technology. 3-D display provides 3-D images to the viewers with more accurate and realistic information than which 2-D display does. This feature is an essential component of communication technology. Generally communication technology pursues for exchanging and sharing of thoughts, feelings and ideas. 3-D displays are effective contact media to achieve these goals. The concept of accessible spatial dimension of a person is used to describe 3-D display in the aspect of communication technology. It is classified into three dimensions and each of dimensions represents the dimension of contact media. Several research results, related with 3-D display and communication technology are introduced based on the concept. Copyright 2009 ACM.

components are the basic building blocks of enterprise and distributed applications. component-based development (CBD) is the technique of using a component Framework to develop components and it focuses on developing large software systems by integrating previously existing software components. Software Development based on component based architecture is already in wide use throughout the software industry. component based development makes it possible to assemble an application from a repository of components developed in various languages by homogeneous or heterogeneous composition. Web Services provides an easy way to extend component based development by adopting open internet standards. Web services represent an evolution of the Web to allow the open and flexible interaction of applications over the Internet. Web services standards provide a high level of interoperability across platforms, programming languages and applications. In our current research we have created a model for automatically converting components created in different languages to web services. The components that are developed in various languages are deployed dynamically (just in time) in the web servers by using custom built deployers. Using this model the users can access the components that reside in the server using open internet standards, without having to worry about the language and platform restrictions. The security aspects to access the web services were also considered while implementing the model. © 2005 IEEE.

The programmable network envisioned in the late 1990s within standardization and research for the Intelligent Network is taking another attempt to come into reality using IP-based Next Generation Networks (NGN) and Application programming Interfaces (API) for open developer access. Adopting technical concepts of providing high-level APIs for open service access from the Internet and World Wide Web (WWW), some major telecommunications operators have started developer portals to allow 3rd party developer access to internal service enablers and network functionality. Composition of services by using these exposed APIs may be realized on multiple layers. We address in this report the composition of services based on orchestration languages and assess those in the context of the execution of real-time communication services. We propose a two-folded composition model for component and workflow driven compositions. ©2010 IEEE.

Many electronic industries have become prominent with Internet of Things (IoT) has grown in popularity over years. The NAB-IoT technology is steadily improving in terms of intelligent, accessibility, power efficiency, strong connection, extensive coverage. This move is mainly due to the introduction of Narrowband Internet of Things (NAB-IoT). NAB-IoT is a brand-new platform through a diverse set of applications, a large number of interconnections, low energy, and cheap cost. The smart scheme that is based on Swarm intelligence NAB-IoT, is a major component of the IoT sector, is extensively implemented and provides a broad variety of possibilities. However, owing to technology, programming, and connection issues, the NAB-IoT-based adaptive system creates reliability concerns. As a consequence, this study looks at the effect of the NAB-IoT system on the dependability of IoT intellectual organizations. The replicated a real-world situation using the NS-3tool, then performed many information transfer experiments and collected important transmission measure indicator data before computing and evaluating the outcomes observed, using quantifiable reliability indications. In that sequence, the 3 main trials change the communication range of the NAB-IoT signaling, raise the amount of NAB-IoT data accessibility in the classification, and raise the number of difficulties in the route of communication. The investigating findings are characterized by the SINR, quantity, rate of packet loss, and rate of correct received data block and loss. Lastly, analyze the empirical values to confirm the NAB-IoT system's effect on classification dependability. end to delay improved by 17.14%, Routing Overhead 7.14%, Throughput 2.732%, Energy Efficiency 7.1328% and PDF 11.42% had been attained. © 2021 IEEE.

Nonvolatile programmable switch is the base component of Flash-based Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs), and its performance is the key to realize reconfigurable FPGA circuits. The Sense-Switch pFlash is a common floating gate device, which has the advantages of high integration, radiation hardness and high reliability. It is a better choice to realize radiation hardened Flash-based FPGA. The dumbbell and bar gate Sense-Switch pFlash devices are designed, and the theoretical analysis based on band-to-band tunneling induced hot electron (BBHE) and Fowler-Nordheim (FN) tunneling models is carried out, and the effect of improving the coupling coefficient on its performance is discussed by 0.13μm eFlash technology. It is found that the coupling coefficient can be effectively improved by increasing the poly1-interlayer-poly0 (PIP) capacitance in the field region, and the threshold window and ON/OFF-state characteristics can be significantly improved. Finally, the structure and programming/erasing methods of the Sense-Switch pFlash are optimized. Its endurance can reach 10,000 times, and it also has excellent retention characteristics, such as more than 1000h at 150°C. Therefore, it can be concluded that the dumbbell Sense-Switch pFlash is a better choice for Flash-based FPGAs. © 2021 IEEE.

Since their introduction, generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) have represented the bulk of approaches used in image generation. Before GANs, such approaches used Machine Learning (ML) exclusively to tackle the training problems inherent to GANs. However, in recent years, evolutionary approaches have been making a comeback, not only across the field of ML but in generative modelling specifically. Successes in GPU-accelerated Genetic programming (GP) led to the introduction of the TGPGAN framework, which used GP as a replacement for the deep convolutional network conventionally used as a GAN generator. In this paper, we delve further into the generative capabilities of evolutionary computation within adversarial models and extend the study performed in TGPGAN to analyse other evolutionary approaches. Similarly to TGPGAN, the presented approaches replace the generator component of a Deep Convolutional GAN (DCGAN): one with a line-drawing Genetic Algorithm (GA) and another with a Compositional Pattern Producing Network (CPPN). Our comparison of generative performance shows that the GA used manages to perform competitively with the original framework. More importantly, this work showcases the viability of other evolutionary approaches other than GP for the purpose of image generation. © 2024 Copyright held by the owner/author(s).

In this paper we characterize and model the cost of rework in a component Factory (CF) organization. A CF is responsible for developing and packaging reusable software components. Data was collected on corrective maintenance activities for the Generalized Support Software reuse asset library located at the Flight Dynamics Division of NASA's GSFC. We then constructed a predictive model of the cost of rework using the C4.5 system for generating a logical classification model. The predictor variables for the model are measures of internal software product attributes. The model demonstrates good prediction accuracy, and can be used by managers to allocate resources for corrective used by managers to allocate resources for corrective maintenance activities. Furthermore, we used the model to generate proscriptive coding guidelines to improve programming practices so that the cost of rework can be reduced in the future. The general approach we have used is applicable to other environments.

One of the most crucial decisions a company makes is its pricing strategy. When it comes to pricing, a company must consider the present, as well as the future and the past pricing. It enables a company to make sound judgments. In the process of marketing products, price is the only factor that creates income;everything else is a cost. Guessing at product pricing is a little like throwing darts blindfolded;some will hit something, but it probably will not be the dartboard. Large-scale enterprises throughout the world still depend on Excel sheets with numerous manpower or expensive pricing solutions. Expensive pricing systems are difficult to implement for Medium and Large Sized Enterprises in countries like Sri Lanka. Our goal in this research is to propose an affordable, efficient, easy-To-use and secure solution which can be implemented in Medium and Large Sized Enterprises in Sri Lanka. Manufacturing cost, shipping cost, competitor analysis, customer behaviour are taken as the root factors when deciding the price. The proposed solution includes Machine Learning components which is fed with historical data of these four factors to predict the manufacturing cost, shipping cost, competitor price and customer behavioural factors on a given date and as well as an optimisation component which enables the opportunities to minimise the cost and maximise the profit. The four Machine Learning components are implemented using LSTM, ARIMA, Facebook Prophet and a clustering model. The optimisation model is implemented using linear programming optimise these four components. A user-friendly web application is implemented using MEAN stack with micro service architecture to access this. © 2021 IEEE.
