3-d object pose estimation is an essential mission for expertise three-D scenes, and it has won sizeable attention in current years, its various applications in robotics, augmented reality, and autonomous riding. Deep trendy has emerged as a powerful approach for 3D item pose estimation ultra-modern its capability to automatically research features from raw records and capture complicated spatial relationships. On this look, we behavior a comparative evaluation of cutting-edge conventional deep contemporary frameworks for 3-d item pose estimation. We assessment the conventional strategies used for three-D item pose estimation and their obstacles. Then, we discuss the idea present day deep present day and how it has been implemented to this venture. We compare the performance of different deep getting to know modern frameworks, together with Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and generative adverse Networks (GANs), on benchmark datasets for 3-d item pose estimation. © 2024 IEEE.

In recent years, component-based development has evolved to one of the key technologies in software engineering, because it provides a promising way to deal with large scale software developments. Due to this, the realization of component interactions has become an important task while implementing a system being assembled from (existing) components. Scripting languages, like Perl, Tcl, Unix-Shell, are often used for implementing this so-called glue code, because they provide a flexible way to process string-based input, the most common data structures used for component interactions. However, often it turns out that the algorithms of the component interactions are too sophisticated to be adequately expressed in this kind of languages. In this paper, we propose the use of language technology for that purpose: the strings passed between the components are treated as sentences in specialized component interaction languages (CIL). The syntax of such a language denes the input format of the components to be interconnected, and the semantics represents the functionality of the glue code. The appropriateness of this approach depends on the methodology and support functionality available for designing these languages. We report on the positive experiences using Montages as methodology. We will also describe the support functionality of the Gem-Mex tool containing its graphical animation and debugging facilities, which can be used as vehicle for the comprehension of the interplay between the components of the overall system. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2000.

Summary form only given. The use of components in the development of large software systems can have various benefits. Their testing, however, is still an open issue in software engineering. The user of a component is often faced with the problem that information necessary for testing purposes is not available. This lack of information distinguishes the testing of components from other software entities known from non-component-based development. This article gives an overview of the approaches to testing components. Besides the overview, this article also outlines some of the limitations of these approaches. Testing components is still an open problem.

With the advent of the Internet, the multimedia business has experienced explosive growth and is now available to consumers worldwide. Particularly important to this growth has been the dominance of over-the-top (OTT) platforms during the COVID-19 epidemic. One important component in this growth has been the implementation of state-of-the-art Machine Learning (ML) methods. These algorithms can generate captions from video frames mechanically, increasing the platform's accessibility. However, it can be difficult to meet the needs of users speaking different languages, as there are many films being streamed in languages that may be inaccessible to consumers in other parts of the world. There is an issue with English being the most spoken language in the world. Therefore, individuals who aren't fluent in English may have trouble finding videos in their native language. By automatically creating English subtitles for any movie, regardless of the language spoken on the original audio track, machine learning plays a significant role in removing this barrier. Neural Networks, used for processing each frame of the video, and LSTM models, used for caption synthesis, are the key models employed here from the realm of machine learning. After the models have been trained, they can be incorporated into the user interface (UI) using a programming language like Python. Generating high-quality multiple-choice questions (MCQs) is a time-consuming activity that has led practitioners and researchers to develop community question banks and reuse the same questions from semester to semester. This results in generic MCQs which are not relevant to every course. Template-based methods for generating MCQs require less effort but are similarly limited. At the same time, advances in natural language processing have resulted in large language models (LLMs) that are capable of doing tasks previously reserved for people, such as generating code, code explanations, and programming assignments. In this paper, we investigate whether these generative capabilities of LLMs can be used to craft high-quality M CQs more efficiently, thereby enabling instructors to focus on personalizing MCQs to each course and the associated learning goals. We used two LLMs, GPT-3 and GPT-4, to generate isomorphic MCQs based on MCQs from the Canterbury Question Bank and an Introductory to Low-level C programming Course. We evaluated the resulting MCQs to assess their ability to generate correct answers based on the question stem, a task that was previously not possible. Finally, we investigate whether there is a correlation between model performance and the discrimination score of the associated MCQ to understand whether low discrimination questions required the model to do more inference and therefore perform poorly. GPT-4 correctly generated the answer for 78.5% of MCQs based only on the question stem. This suggests that instructors could use these models to quickly draft quizzes, such as during a live class, to identify misconceptions in real-time. We also replicate previous findings that GPT-3 performs poorly on answering, or in our case generating, correct answers to MCQs. We also present cases we observed where LLMs struggled to produce correct answers. Finally, we discuss implications for computing education. © 2023 IEEE.

Architecture description languages deal with the description, analysis and reuse of software architectures. This paper describes DAOP-ADL, a component- and aspect-based language to specify the architecture of an application in terms of components, aspects and a set of plug-compatibility rules between them. With the aim of connecting the specification of the application architecture to the implementation, we describe our language using XML and XML Schemas. The DAOP-ADL language was designed to be interpreted by DAOP, our own dynamic component- and aspect-oriented platform. DAOP provides a composition mechanism that plugs aspects into components dynamically at runtime. The software architect will use the DAOP-ADL language at design time to describe the architecture of the application. Later this architectural information is loaded into the DAOP platform, which needs it to establish the dynamic connections between autonomous components and aspects. Therefore, the use of DAOP-ADL closes the gap between design and implementation of component- and aspect-based applications. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2003.

Developing applications for modern complex networked robotic systems is more challenging due to the introduction of possibly sophisticated communication and coordination aspects. In this paper, we propose EmSBoT, a lightweight embedded component-based software framework targeting resource-constrained networked robotic systems. EmSBoT provides a unified Application Program Interface (API) that hides the heterogeneous distributed environment from applications. Its OS abstraction layer endows it with OS independence and portability. A port-based communication mechanism is adopted to exchange message between loosely coupled components, making the system with fault-tolerance capability. By isolating the communication channels as separate agents, the framework provides uniform and transparent message-passing for agents over node boundaries. We describe the architecture, programming model and core features of EmSBoT in this paper, together with the performance evaluation and behavior validation to demonstrate its efficiency and feasibility.

This volume of Lecture Notes in Computer Science contains the proceedings of the rd 3 Working conference on component Deployment (CD 2005), which took place from 28 to 29, November 2005 in Grenoble, France, and co-located with Middleware 2005. CD 2005 is the third international conference in the series, the first two being held in Berlin and Edinburgh in 2002 and 2004, respectively. The proceedings of both these conferences were also published by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series and may be found in volumes 2370 and 3083. component deployment addresses the tasks that need to be performed after components have been developed and addresses questions such as: • What do we do with components after they have been built? • How do we deploy them into their execution environment? • How can we evolve them once they have been deployed? CD 2005 brought together researchers and practitioners with the goal of deve- ping a better understanding of how deployment takes place in the wider context. The Program Committee selected 15 papers (12 long papers, three short papers) out of 29 submissions. All submissions were reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee. Papers were selected based on originality, quality, soundness and relevance to the workshop.
