The vast proliferation of wireless networking devices, coupled with the trend for short-range communications in dense residential environments, imposes new challenges for the efficient addressing of problems resulting from co-existence of heterogeneous devices (e.g, interference) under capacity and energy constraints. This paper proposes and evaluates a cooperative distributed algorithm for power control and interference mitigation based on ad-hoc communication of heterogeneous yet peer networking devices, driven by enhanced situation awareness and learning capabilities;the learning capabilities evolve the way a network element perceives its environment. The gains of this approach are highlighted through its application in WiFi APs. The results reveal that the introduction of learning capabilities in cooperative power control leads to interference mitigation while introducing minimum overhead in the network nodes.

It can be automatic exploration through random knotted dot, and possesses the feature of cross-layer and multiple protocols to support exploration of heterogeneous network, possesses quicker and more effective explorative ability of topology resource. The implement way will rely on the standard of the mutual communicative protocol to automatically discover the entire network topology and all network equipped link dot from integration to open source code’s network-managed system to prove the CLTD Algorithm is effective.

This paper is the first report of robotic ICSI (intracytoplasmic sperm injection). ICSI is a clinical procedure performed worldwide in fertility clinics, requiring pick-up of a single sperm and insert it into oocyte (i.e., an egg cell). Since its invention 20 years ago, ICSI has been conducted manually by a handful of highly skilled embryologists;however, success rates vary significantly among clinics due to poor reproducibility and inconsistency across operators. We leverage our work in robotic cell injection to realize robotic ICSI and aim ultimately, to standardize how clinical ICSI is performed. This paper presents some of the technical aspects of our robotic ICSI system, including a cell holding device and motion control and computer vision algorithms. The system performs visual tracking of single sperm, robotic immobilization of sperm, aspiration of sperm with pico-liter volume, and insertion of sperm into an oocyte with a high degree of reproducibility. The system requires minimal human involvement (requiring only a few computer mouse clicking), and is human operator skill independent. Using the hamster oocyte-human sperm model in preliminary trials, the robotic system demonstrated a high success rate of 90.0% and survival rate of 90.7% (n=120).

Most previous works on text classification, represented importance of terms by term occurrence frequency (tf) and inverse document frequency (idf). This paper presents the ways to apply class frequency in centroid-based text categorization. Three approaches are taken into account. The first one is to explore the effectiveness of inverse class frequency on the popular term weighting, i.e., TFIDF, as a replacement of idf and an addition to TFIDF. The second approach is to evaluate some functions, which are used to adjust the power of inverse class frequency. The other approach is to apply terms, which are found in only one class or few classes, to improve classification performance, using two-step classification. From the results, class frequency expresses its usefulness on text classification, especially the two-step classification.
