In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the imperative for advanced technological solutions to combat the spread of infections has never been more pressing. This article delves into the development of an exceptionally efficient autonomous disinfectant robot, surpassing human capabilities in sanitizing rooms and maintaining infection control. Leveraging state-of-the-art ultrasonic sensors strategically positioned on three sides, this robot employs cutting-edge technology to measure wall distances and navigate accordingly. Going beyond conventional liquid spray nozzles, the introduction of a fog spray system represents a significant advancement, ensuring widespread coverage and meticulous sanitization of every corner. This article explores in detail the intricate components and functionalities of this autonomous disinfectant robot, shedding light on its dual motor operation, integrated circuit control, single-board microcontroller operation, and the specially designed navigation algorithm tailored for interior settings. In recent years, digital twin technology has been gradually applied in the field of agriculture. As a key technology for digital twins in agriculture, 3D reconstruction technology has attracted more and more researchers’ attention. 3D reconstruction of agriculture is difficult because crops are alive, especially for bisporus mushrooms. Bisporus mushrooms are generally grown intensively in narrow spaces in factories, which poses a huge challenge to the layout of the equipment for 3D reconstruction. But there are still some ways to solve the problem of 3D reconstruction of bisporus mushrooms in the factory, except for a small number of extruded mushrooms, most of the bisporus mushrooms can be replaced by regularly shaped geometry, the mushroom cap can be well adapted to the spatial ellipsoid and the space cylinder can express the characteristics of the mushroom stem well. This paper proposes a new method to reconstruction the bisporus mushrooms based on the YOLO v5s network with CBAM attention module. YOLO v5s network with CBAM attention module is used to generate coordinates of bounding boxes to segment the single bisporus mushroom point cloud from the whole point cloud obtained by depth camera, then the point cloud filter denoising algorithm is involved to remove noise spots and the ellipsoid fitting algorithm is used to reconstruct the model of bisporus mushroom caps. The results show that the proposed method can adapt well to bisporus mushroom plant environment in the factory, achieve high-precision fitting, and can be applied to the digital twin technology of bisporus mushroom smart factory in the future. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

Currently, the majority of multi-population algorithms ignore the worst particles and instead learn from the gbest or lbest. Hence, it is simple for these strategies to result in inadequate population variety, which causes early convergence. A multi-population particle swarm optimization considering the worst particles into account (CWMPSO) is suggested to demonstrate the importance of the worst particle information. In addition to considering the best particle, the CWMPSO algorithm concentrates on the worst particle globally. The algorithm divides the population into three subgroups, which learns from the gbest, gworst, and gbest + gworst, respectively. The development of the global worst particle information can be achieved by group learning, allowing for a more thorough exploration of potential optimum solutions and an avoidance of local functional ones. 30 complex CEC2017 benchmark functions were used in this work to test a range of algorithms including CWMPSO with various dimensions. The outcomes demonstrate that, in every dimension, the CWMPSO algorithm is better than other advanced PSOs. © 2023 SPIE.

An essential instrument for the operation of a power system is to monitor and analyze the data to find the fault and rectify it before the System collapses completely. This paper intents to utilize the idea to create a control system that will fulfill three objectives, monitoring of vital parameters controlling the power distribution, outage management by fault detection based on the variation of voltage, frequency, and current & protection of the circuit against any significant incidents by isolating the load from utility and flagging the information through feedback to the utility authority. The method used in this project can provide necessary safety from total system outages by adequately monitoring the instant data and historic data, managing the outage system by detecting faults, and cutting loads required to avoid a widespread blackout of a power system. Implementation of the proposed project can solve the problem of system blackout due to overload, under/over voltage, or under/over frequency. This developed system can supply necessary timestamped monitored data that can be accessed remotely and can also archive to create a proper load profile to ultimately help the modeling of Load Forecasting for a smooth and economic grid operation and can be used for developing the Smart Grid network. © 2023 IEEE.

Working with large scale microservice based applications may be hard to maintain and control. The services in those applications must be isolated from each other and they must work in harmony. There must be an intelligent transaction management system to implement this kind of collaborative work of microservices. There are two main methodologies for transaction management, namely Two Phase Commit (2PC) and Saga pattern. There are two phases in 2PC that prepare phase and commit phase. In Saga pattern, there are two ways of implementing Saga pattern;choreography based, and orchestration based. When there is a problem in the whole transaction, controlling the rollback scenario may be hard because each microservice has its own rollout and rollback solutions in both ways of Saga pattern. If we separate the rollback system from the microservices, we might have simpler microservices and microservices that can run in parallel. So whole system works safer and faster. In this work we focus on parallel execution of microservices with separate rollback system that controls the whole application in error condition. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper presents the implementation of off-road navigation on legged robots using convex optimization through linear transfer operators. Given a traversability measure that captures the off-road environment, we lift the navigation problem into the density space using the Perron-Frobenius (P-F) operator. This allows the problem formulation to be represented as a convex optimization. Due to the operator acting on an infinite-dimensional density space, we use data collected from the terrain to get a finite-dimension approximation of the convex optimization. Results of the optimal trajectory for off-road navigation are compared with a standard iterative planner, where we show how the linear operator approach generates a more traversable path for the legged robot compared to the suboptimal iterative planner. Currently, Digital Holographic Microscopy(DHM) is used for researching disease diagnosis or microbes. It cannot obtain the correct three-dimensional (3D) profile for a little noise because biological cells are microscopic. Then we need images of the focal point of DHM for reducing noise. However, in DHM, the depth of field becomes smaller influenced by the objective lens. In addition, focusing to obtain hologram images of biological cells in conventional DHM systems is entirely manual, because the decision of the focal point is made by the photographer's senses, which makes it even more difficult to focus on the object. These factors make it difficult for the conventional DHM system to acquire images of the focal points. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the analysis of accurate focusing points using a noise map. This eliminates the illusion or misperception that is a drawback of the manual. We improved an accurate 3D profile. 3D profiles were created at the focal point by the proposed method and at the positions before and after the focal points, and evaluated for SNR. From this, the proposed method can be used to analyze biological cells and microstructures. © 2023 ICROS.

The next generation of Artificial Superintelligence (ASI) poses a variety of important societal problems, including the possible crises and upheavals of the AI machine, which could cause fundamental changes. As the discussion around Artificial Superintelligence underscores the importance of continual dialogue between man and its ability to control technology, it also raises the problem of designing intelligent interactive and collaborative tools and systems to allow this dialogue. Historically, the term 'AI' was used from 1950 to 1975, then fell out of favor during the' AI winter' from 1975 to 1995, and was narrowed to ANI (Artificial Narrow Intelligence). As a result, terms like 'Machine Learning,' 'Natural language Processing,' and 'Data Science' were frequently mislabelled as AI. Today, AI has allowed clinicians to rely heavily on ML which is highly integrated with coding, billing, medical records, scheduling, contracting, medication ordering, and administrative functions. AI is now a thriving industry with massive capital investments and once again is on the verge of a great revolution. There are compelling reasons to investigate artificial super intelligence. This type of AI is capable of surpassing human intellect by expressing cognitive skills and developing its own mental capabilities. ASI is a highly sophisticated, and intelligent type of AI that goes beyond normal intellectual capacity. This paper will discuss the societal impact and the current academic impact of ASI. Finally, this study would attempt to utilize the Markov Decision Model of Machine Learning to predict the trajectory of ASI in the very near future. © 2023 IEEE.
