Cucumber farming plays a crucial role in Bangladesh's agricultural economy, significantly contributing to vegetable production. However, diseases like Downy Mildew, Bacterial Wilt, Anthracnose, and Belly Rot threaten crop quality and lead to financial losses. Effective management of these diseases is crucial for maintaining high crop yields and ensuring economic stability. Current disease identification methods are labor-intensive, costly, and dependent on expert knowledge. To address these challenges, this study presents an automated disease categorization system using advanced transfer learning models, including MobileNet, ShuffleNet, InceptionResNet-v2, AlexNet, and Ensemble Transfer Learning (ETL). Utilizing a dataset of 8,000 well-annotated images, enhanced through preprocessing techniques like GLRM feature extraction and InfoMAX-GAN feature selection, the ETL model achieved a remarkable accuracy of 99.79% and an F1-score of 99.78%. We also developed a user-friendly web tool for real-time diagnostics, providing invaluable support to farmers and agricultural specialists. This tool enables rapid disease detection, leading to increased productivity and a transformative approach to cucumber disease management. By reducing the reliance on chemical interventions, it promotes sustainable farming practices and safeguards human and animal health.

This work proposes an innovative antenna design for millimeter-wave applications. For improved performance, the proposed antenna employs a bulk micromachining structure combined with an inset-fed technique. The design is fully simulated using the HFSS software using a substrate material having a dielectric constant of 12.9. A vertical air gap is introduced beneath the patch element through the simulated micromachining structure to enhance the RF performance of the antenna. The designed antenna dimensions are $1.2 \mathrm{~mm} \times 1.7 \mathrm{~mm} \times 0.27 \mathrm{~mm}$ and are intended to function at $\mathbf{6 0 ~ G H z}$ within the millimeter-wave frequency spectrum. Outstanding performance metrics are shown by the simulation results, such as a maximum gain of 4.82 dBi, a return loss of -60.95 dB and a voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) of 1 at the desired operating frequency of 60 GHz. The simulated design of the antenna exhibits promising potential for integration into emerging millimeterwave wireless systems and devices.

The drinking water crisis is one of the prime issues in all over the world. Almost half of the populations of the world isolated from this blessing. Insufficiency of electricity plays a great role in their situations, as without electricity we cannot run a pump. Renewable energy is one of the suitable answers to solve the problem. The most effective resources of renewable energy are solar energy, which could solve this crisis. This research presents a performance analysis of the solar-based water pump controlling system and water quality measuring system using arduino mega. The main objective of this research is to automatically control the water pump and single-axis tracking for solar. Besides, the pH and turbidity of the reserve tank water show into the liquid crystal display (LCD) by using arduino's command. If the turbidity sensor senses the water is polluted then the automatically send the tank's water to the filter for purifying and if the pH level of the water is high or low, the device automatically stops sending the water to the supply. In both cases turbidity low, pH high, and low), the GSM module sends a warning notification to the selected cellular device by using the arduino's command. This work is divided into two parts hardware and software systems. In the hardware part, four light dependent resistors (LDR) are used to sense the maximum light side from the sun. One linear actuator used to move the solar panel to the maximum light source location perceived by the LDRs. In the software part, the code is written by using C programming language and has targeted to the arduino mega controller. In this idea, arduino mega controls the whole thing. An automatic water pump can reduce the loss of pure water.

Bedside robots equipped with medical devices can be effective in assisting physicians to perform specific medical tasks on mobile medical vehicles via remote operation. However, the major challenges are to make the robot small and dexterous enough to meet the clinical requirements and fit into the small space of the mobile medical vehicle. In this paper, we propose a miniaturized bedside robotic wrist based on a 6-RSU parallel mechanism with multifunctional motion capabilities. The robotic wrist can be equipped with various medical instruments, including but not limited to ultrasound probes, biopsy needles and endoscopes. To meet different clinical needs, the motion mode of the robotic wrist can be switched between decoupled and remote center of motion. To verify the effectiveness of the design, the kinematic model of the robotic wrist for two motion modes was established and different simulation studies were performed. The experimental results show that the robotic wrist has a favorable working performance to be deployed onto mobile medical vehicles, demonstrating its promising application prospects.

Vibration causes frequent deformations of the cantilever beams, which can easily destroy the beam structure if without protection. Active vibration control with feedback information of the cantilever is widely studied in previous works to suppress the vibrations of small deformations. But it is not applicable to the cantilever with large deformation and no feedbacks. Besides, they all require the cantilever to be observable but do nothing about unobservable cantilevers. In this paper, the vibration of a cantilever with large deformations is suppressed by using a 3-DOF manipulator. The structural dynamic model of the cantilever is established to estimate the deformation without external sensors installed on the cantilever. Based on the dynamic model, the vibration control strategy is proposed. Experiments on a developed cantilever and manipulator are conducted and validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. The results show that the vibration bending moment of the cantilever beam can be effectively suppressed, thus the service life of the equipment can be effectively prolonged by active vibration control of the cantilever beam. © 2021 IEEE.

EMG has become a powerful method that was first used to identify muscle disorders in medical settings. Now, EMG signals are being used in a new way to identify people. Most biometric methods use complex systems with many channels, which makes them hard to use in real life. This study challenges this idea by suggesting that identification can be done with just one EMG channel for a smaller group of people. We explain how to collect, preprocess, and enhance data for EMG-based identification. We use a stacked Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) neural network to classify EMG signals accurately and effectively. Our results show high accuracy and F1 scores equal to 96.4, which means our approach works well. This research not only improves EMG-based identification systems but also has potential uses in biometrics and other areas.

Robotic intra-operative ultrasound has the potential to improve the routine practice of diagnosis and procedure guidance that is currently performed manually. One of the common challenges towards standardization and intelligence in robotic ultrasound is pre-planning, which uses pre-operative data from the patient and computes the desired input and target pose of the robot given a desired view of the ultrasound image. In this paper, we present a deep reinforcement learning-based approach to solving the problem of pre-planning the ultrasound image for a four-degree-of-freedom intra-operative cardiac ultrasound robot. Evaluation in a virtual environment demonstrates the feasibility and robustness of the proposed method. The mean squared error representing the distance of the standard ultrasound view was found to be 5.70 ± 0.33 mm for the given task. As this is done in a semi-automatic way, it is believed that the proposed method can effectively reduce the operational difficulties for medical staff and improve the accuracy of future ultrasound view acquisition and scanning.

The aim of the presented research was to establish new regularities of change of electromagnetic radiation absorption coefficient values in frequency range 0.7–17.0 GHz of the materials based on powdered charcoal, impregnated to the saturation by the alkaline earth chloride aqueous solution, depending on the following: 1) electromagnetic radiation frequency value; 2) charcoal type (non-activated wood charcoal, activated wood charcoal, activated coconut charcoal). These materials were heterogeneous and flexible ones. Their outside layers were made on the base of polymer plates and mashes. The studied materials inside layers were made on the base of charcoals, impregnated to the saturation by the alkaline earth chloride aqueous solution. Such components are electrical conductive ones. It has been established, that electromagnetic radiation absorption coefficient values of the studied materials are more than 0.5 in frequency bands 1.45–4.0 GHz, 6.0–17.0 GHz. The minimum values of electromagnetic radiation absorption coefficient (around 0.9) have been registered in frequency band 6.5–14.0 GHz for the materials based on powdered wood charcoals. Due to these facts these materials have been classified like wideband electromagnetic radiation absorbers. They have been recommended for use in course of development of anechoic chambers for performing microwave measurements in S, X and K u bands.

The most common cause of blindness among diabetics is diabetic retinopathy. This disease must be detected in its early stages as delaying treatment can result in permanent blindness. In today’s modern world with the development of technologies, automated techniques have improved the accuracy and efficiency of detecting and classifying this disease. This study suggests a deep learning model utilizing EfficientNetB0 that focuses on designing a neural network structure that requires fewer parameters and computations compared to traditional architectures. Further to help in increasing the accuracy, the image is being processed with methods like CLAHE which is an image processing algorithm that helps in enhancing the contrast while keeping the noise of the images as low as possible. Also, augmentation is being done on the images and SMOTE is applied to handle class imbalance. We collected the APTOS Blindness Detection dataset consisting of retinal fundus images. The accuracy that is being obtained from the proposed methodology is 98.78% indicating the model's effectiveness in detection and classifying between the various stages of diabetic retinopathy.
