Dynamic path planning and collision prevention is one of the key tasks for autonomous vehicles in relation to dynamic movement of obstacles. In this paper, a novel hybrid approach based on integration of Slime Mold Algorithm (SMA), Triangle Inequality Principle (TIP), and Partition Method Strategy (PMS) for solution of this problem statement. The SMA algorithm is very flexible and adaptive by nature due to its biological working mechanism which is associated with TIP and PMS strategies in relation to their optimization and efficient path planning capabilities and robust solutions. This integrated module is tested in virtual environment and the results are compared with other updated algorithms such as A*, Genetic Algorithm (GA), and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) for the same static and dynamic environment. It has been observed from the results that this hybrid strategy significantly improves the path planning task several times than other algorithms in terms of multiple aspects. Under testing conditions, the path length was reduced to 25% than other algorithms in a dynamic environment. During this calculation, the computational efficiency of the system has been improved to 60% than conventional methods. The chances of collision have been improved to 34.23% especially in environment where the obstacles are moving. The capability of SMA has been improved due to the synergy between TIP and PMS. The dynamic and adaptive nature of this algorithm is suitable for various applications such as search-and-rescue operations, manufacturing units’ automation and other hazardous environment exploration.

Tomato is a one of the most popular produced and extensively consumed vegetables in the world. Typical agricultural systems make extensive use of human labor which is more costly and less effective. This research explores the minimization of human labor through automation. The diseases infected by tomato plants are hard to detect. Identifying these diseases in advance would save the cultivation of the disease from spreading, thereby saving the crop. It is also a difficult task to recognize the ripe harvest and experienced labor is required. The efficiency of the harvesting method will be increased by automating the identification process of ripened fruits. Manually picking tomatoes can cause some harm to the fruits during plucking due to inconsistencies in human labor. Such damage will be reduced through a better implemented robotic scheme. This paper presents the development of autonomous system for tomato harvesting and disease detection. © 2021 IEEE.

Network traffic dataset is the basis for studying the properties of network traffic and training network traffic classification model. In order to solve the problems of Insufficient authenticity, inaccuracy, limited traffic size and privacy security risks of various network traffic datasets, a method to generate a truth distributed network traffic dataset is presented. This method obtains a true distributed network traffic dataset by collaborating with the server to complete the ground truth traffic collection, data processing, data labeling and other steps. Experiments show that the distributed network traffic dataset obtained by this method has the advantages of High authenticity of traffic data, accurate type labeling, scalable traffic size, and privacy security. The validity of the dataset is verified by model training and traffic classification based on the Federated Learning. © 2022 ACM.

Power supplies for medical imaging systems need to be more powerful and have a fast and precise output voltage control. A Vienna-type three-phase rectifier prototype has been developed by GE Healthcare to replace the current passive power supply of Xray scanner. Stability must be verified for a wide range of power load, input voltage, and grid impedance. First, a model of the rectifier and its control has been made and validated with measurements on the prototype for Continuous Conduction Mode operation. Second, a current loop stability analysis has been done to verify possible resonance and controllability issues. A poor damped resonance at high frequency and constraints on the input current control loop design has been found. Third, a monovariable and multivariable stability analysis has been made to ensure stability for all the operating points. The worst operating point concerning stability margins has been identified for low output power and high input voltage. Finally, a limit of validity of the model at low power has been highlighted. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Thanks to their flexible trunk, many quadrupeds are capable of highly power efficient gaits. The backbone, tendons and musculature help their different gaits, especially running, by storing and releasing elastic energy. Additionally, they also help a smooth deceleration and a fast acceleration of the different parts of the body involved during running. In this work we present our studies aimed at modeling and reproducing such phenomena for efficient robot locomotion. In addition, we studied how to amplify such effect when the frequency of the backbone is brought close to the natural resonant frequency of the compliant structure. We demonstrate that a flexible artificial structure representing the backbone, muscle and tendons, driven to quasi-resonant oscillations is capable of dramatically reducing the energy required to maintain oscillations. At the same time, such oscillations increase their amplitude. Such effect will be used to design fast running and energy efficient quadruped robots. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

The Robotic Operating System (ROS) is a popular framework for robotics research and development. It's a system that provides hardware abstraction with low-level device management to handle communications and services. ROS is a distributed system, which allows various nodes in a network to communicate using a method such as message passing. When integrating systems using ROS, it is vital to consider the security and privacy of the data and information shared across ROS nodes, which is considered to be one of the most challenging aspects of ROS systems. The goal of this study is to examine the ROS architecture, primary components, and versions, as well as the types of vulnerabilities that might compromise the system. In order to achieve the CIA's three fundamental security criteria on a ROS-based platform, we categorized these vulnerabilities and looked into various security solutions proposed by researchers. We provide a comparative analysis of the ROS-related security solutions, the security threats and issues they addressed, the targeted architecture of the protection or defense system, the solution's evaluation methodology and the evaluation metric, and the limitations that might be viewed as unresolved issues for the future course of action. Finally, we look into future possibilities and open challenges to assist researchers to develop more secure and efficient ROS systems.

A simultaneous geography control effort is implemented for full-reachability systems and a genetic algorithm with dynamic transformation to find the breakthrough in a blaze-scene. The proposed scheme efficiently takes care of the issue of separate node for transmission run. The suggested technique makes it possible to improve the display of the genetic algorithm in order to maintain a strategic distance from the possible arrangements which fall into nearby ideal. Different experimental simulations have to be confirmed the performance quality, reliability and timeliness of designed approaches. In the Wireless Sensor established network, can connect at least two sensors in a network sensors and deliver jointly via the obtained transmission extend to form the network of total accessibility. Accordingly, excellent blaze exhaust system with complete network accessibility the proposed approaches in this paper established topology and real-time routing methods. This device supports the protection and security of individuals in a blaze scene. © 2021 IEEE.

The accurate and timely diagnosis of animal diseases is essential for the health and well-being of animals, as well as for the prevention and control of disease outbreaks. One important aspect of disease diagnosis is the accurate representation and classification of diseases and their associated symptoms. The currently available ontologies explain either disease or symptom, but they do not provide a descriptive relationship between symptoms and their diseases. Furthermore, combining two separate ontologies is difficult due to a lack of domain knowledge and the different ontological structures used in different ontologies. As far as we know there isn’t any linked ontology knowledge base that can meet our needs. To address these challenges, we developed a novel animal disease and symptom ontology that aims to provide a descriptive representation of animal diseases and their symptom. Include synonyms for each symptom that motivate to disambiguate and identify the precise symptoms from the ontology. In the end, we were able to achieve an overall implementation accuracy of 83.8%. In addition to this, we make use of the structured methodology of the ontological knowledgebase, which provides researchers with the ability to broaden the ontology to include diseases and symptoms.

This paper presents the development of an acquisition system and data logger from an existing set of three continuous stirred-tank reactors in series. The reactors are currently used in chemical engineering educational laboratories to perform kinetic and tracer experiments. In this sense, to accomplish the store data process, the volumetric flow rate and the concentration of tracer, reactants and/or products of the reaction must be acquired as a function of time. In the original experimental setup, only the signal conditioning system was operational, while the acquisition, visualization, and control systems were obsolete and damaged. Thus, a new system composed of an interface and real-time acquisition data is proposed alongside preserving the main reactor structure. A graphical user interface and the automation of the various actuators were developed based on worldwide usage and low cost, respectively. This system, based on a common 8-bit microcontroller and an application developed in Lazarus, allows the storage of the acquired data in a time-series database. In this way, students can analyze the results later or in real time. Moreover, remote access allows controlling the reactor and getting data by the Internet of Things (IoT) resources. Additionally, the proposed system using IoT allows data to be shared with the community as a dataset.

The economic sector includes agriculture as a major player. Around the world, the primary issue and hot topic is agriculture automation. As a result of the population boom, there is a huge increase in the need for both jobs and food. Farmers employed traditional techniques, which included insufficient to meet these needs. This led to the introduction of new automated techniques. These innovative techniques supplied the world’s food needs while giving billions of people access to jobs. An agricultural revolution has been sparked by artificial intelligence. With the use of this technology, crop yields are now more resistant to many conditions like population increase, climate change, job troubles, and food security concerns. The primary goal of this study is to evaluate the numerous ways artificial intelligence is being used in agriculture, including the use of sensors and other tools built into drones and robots for weeding, spraying, and irrigation. The excessive use of pesticides, herbicides, water, and other resources is reduced by these technologies, and the soil fertility is maintained. They also aid in the effective use of labor, which raises productivity and quality. In order to provide a concise summary of the current state of agricultural automation, including the use of drones and robots for weeding, this study analyses the research of several researchers. Along with two automated weeding strategies, the various ways of soil water sensing are described. This study discusses the use of drones as well as the numerous spraying and crop monitoring techniques that may be utilized with them.
