This paper compares LMS filter-based adaptive channel equalizer, implemented on Vertex 7 FPGA using several existing and proposed multipliers. The three main performance parameters taken into consideration are the consumed resources (in terms of lookup tables), utilized power (among various design components), and the performance achieved (in terms of observed frequency). The results show the area-power-performance tradeoff amongst the conventional and proposed multipliers based designs. It is to mention that the proposed multipliers result in more compact systems due to less utilization of resources in all means. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This work deals with a new method for computing Lyapunov functions represented by neural networks for autonomous nonlinear systems. Based on the Lyapunov theory and the notion of domain of attraction, we propose an optimization method for determining a Lyapunov function modelled by a neural network while maximizing the domain of attraction. The potential of the proposed method is demonstrated by simulation examples.

The COVID-19 epidemic began in Wuhan, China and has now expanded to the majority of a world's nations. The propagation of a pandemic is primarily determined according to each country's policies and social responsibilities. As per the WHO, the attack rate for 23 June 2020 is estimated to be between 1.4 and 2.5. In comparison to industrialized nations, India's position is rather manageable. It would be fascinating to learn about the facts and data surrounding corona cases throughout India. On world meters, many forms of data are provided. We aimed to assess similar information for India and created several predictions on the impacted rate, daily new cases, and daily total completed cases, among others. COVID-19 has cruelly stopped everything within civilization. An examination of COVID-19 records to determine which age groups are the most affected by the virus. Various Machine learning is used to develop predictive model. Algorithms as well as their related performance data are calculated and analysed. Regressor Random Forest and Random Forest The classification algorithm beat all other machine learning algorithm. such as Support Vector Machine, KNN+, Neighbourhood Component Analysis, decision tree classification, and Gaussian Classifier naive Bayesian, Multi linear Regression, various Logistic Classifiers based on the regression technique and the Extreme Gradient Boosting algorithm. © 2021 IEEE.

A series elastic actuator (SEA) is mainly used in human-robot interaction applications. Especially, a reaction-force-sensing SEA (RFSEA), where the spring is located between the ground and the actuator, has been developed as a practical implementation of the SEAs, as their form-factors are superior to the conventional SEAs. However, the RFSEA has limitations on its torque control performance. The output torque of an RFSEA is estimated as the spring torque, assuming the load is fixed. However, since the load moves in human-robot interaction applications, the assumption causes significant degradation in the control performance of the RFSEA. This paper presents a precise torque estimation method for the RFSEA. The dynamics of the RFSEA were analyzed, modeling the actuator as a two-mass system. The output torque was verified as the function of two variables from the dynamic analysis: the stator angle and the angular velocity of the rotor. In this paper, the torque estimator with a single encoder is proposed to maintain the form-factor of the RFSEA. An encoder measures the stator angle, and a designed observer based on a disturbance observer estimates the angular velocity of the rotor. The performance of the proposed torque estimator was verified experimentally. From the experimental results, an error of the proposed torque estimator was reduced by 37% compared to the conventional when the load moves by mimicking the human movement. According to the manufacturing and assembly process of battery pack system, this paper proposes a common process model to realize the intelligent manufacturing of electric vehicle battery pack. And the experimental verification platform is designed and built. Several key links from the actual production links were extracted to the experimental verification platform. These not only represent the typical and key process in the production and assembly of electric vehicle battery pack, but also fully reflect the automation, information and intelligence of the manufacturing. It can simulate the intelligent manufacturing process of battery pack system in a small environment and verify the process model. Renewable energy systems are technologically matured and promising to replace conventional fossil fuel energy systems that produce greenhouse gas emissions. However, renewable energy generation also encounters problems such as power quality issues. The intermittency nature of renewable energy resources, such as varying irradiance of solar PV and wind speed of wind energy in an isolated area, has potentially led to voltage fluctuations on the source side and generate harmonic distortion due to the inverter switching process. The main objective of this paper is to analyze the power quality issues of a standalone solar photovoltaic/microhydro/wind energy system. This study adopts an off-grid solar photovoltaic/micro-hydro system in Teluk Sumbang, East Borneo, Indonesia, as a case study to construct a renewable energy system. For this purpose, voltage fluctuations may vary about ±10% of its nominal value according to IEC standards. Total harmonic distortion (THD) indices according to IEEE standard 519-2014 are used. The simulation model is developed and observed using MATLAB/Simulink environment. A three-phase inverter with closed-loop voltage control insulated gate bipolar transistor inverter is applied to convert DC to AC and supply power to AC loads. LC and LCL filters use to minimize the harmonics distortion injected by the inverter switching process. Results show that under intermittency nature of renewable energy sources leads to power quality issues concerning voltage fluctuation. THD of voltage and current of the systems are less than 8%, and it is still within an acceptable range in IEEE standard limitation. © 2021 IEEE.

3D human pose estimation is a very important task in human-computer interaction. Most of state-of-art methods are based 3D convolutional neural from voxelized grid or 2D convolutional neural network from depth images. The perspective distortions problems may badly effect the performance of the depth image-based methods. The degradation problem may badly effect the performance of 3D CNN-based methods. To overcome the perspective distortions problem, we use voxelized gird as input of proposed network. The output of proposed network is a heatmap for each joint, and then our method gets 3D coordinate of joint from the heatmap. To overcome the degradation problem and gradient vanishing problem, our network use residual blocks, which can make deeper network be easier to be trained. The attention mechanism can help our method focus on the more important information. We evaluated our method on a public human pose dataset and a human pose dataset collected by ourself. The experimental results show the efficiency of our method. © 2021 IEEE.

Designing an efficient and resilient human-robot collaboration strategy that not only upholds the safety and ergonomics of shared workspace but also enhances the performance and agility of collaborative setup presents significant challenges concerning environment perception and robot control. In this research, we introduce a novel approach for collaborative environment monitoring and robot motion regulation to address this multifaceted problem. Our study proposes novel computation and division of safety monitoring zones, adhering to ISO 13855 and TS 15066 standards, utilizing 2D lasers information. These zones are not only configured in the standard three-layer arrangement but are also expanded into two adjacent planes, thereby enhancing system uptime and preventing unnecessary deadlocks. Moreover, we also leverage 3D visual information to track dynamic human articulations and extended intrusions. Drawing upon the fused sensory data from 2D and 3D perceptual spaces, our proposed hierarchical controller stably regulates robot velocity, validated using Lasalle in-variance principle. Empirical evaluations demonstrate that our approach significantly reduces task execution time and system response delay, resulting in improved efficiency and resilience within collaborative settings.

Presently, there exist few 3D imaging methods that can simultaneously acquire both 3-dimensional spatial information and material information of the environment by a single shot and single camera. Moreover, they cannot meet the need for high efficiency with low energy consumption and compact shape at the same time. This paper proposes a multispectral 3D sensing system for single frame monocular equipment that performs synchronal acquisition of both visual image and depth information of the scene. The system uses the snapshot narrow-band multispectral longitudinal dispersion enhanced optical imaging system to obtain multiple spectral band images with different defocusing degrees and carries the depth recovery by comparing and analyzing the defocusing amount of each spectral band and the differential signal formed between spectral bands. This system provides a compact real-time 3D vision system with low energy consumption, high robustness, and strong endurance. It is suitable for unmanned aerial vehicles, aerospace, robots, and other automobiles equipment to navigate in both indoor and outdoor non-structured environments.

Cross border detection is often used to monitor the behavior of people in specific places where people often entry and exit, people may cross some unsafe or forbidden borders, thus causing dangerous behaviors, such as large power plant or electrical equipment room. In order to prevent the occurrence of dangerous behaviors, this paper proposed a method for human cross-border alarm detection. First, the camera captures the image of the scene, and design the unsafe bounding line. Second, detect the human and its foot based on OpenPose. Third, when a cross-border behavior occurs, judge whether there is an intersection between the boundary line and the line formed by human feet in two images to send an alarm signal. This method effectively saves costs, replaces artificial ways and improves detection efficiency at the same time, and can make an alarm in time when humans cross an unsafe boundary. © 2021, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.
