This paper proposes an innovative COVID-19 stochastic model to secure communication systems for transferring and storing epidemic data. Considering the observable and non-observable COVID-19 states such as infection, confirmed/unconfirmed cases, recovery, and reported/unreported deaths, the dynamic COVID-19 framework is developed and verified. For transmitting local observation information to the central control center like CDC, an innovative internet of things (IoT) based secure communication system is proposed. For predicting COVID-19 model, an optimal signal processing algorithm is developed and implemented. Based on the designed gain, the dynamic system forecasting error is reduced to develop an accurate COVID-19 prediction method. Extensive results show that the proposed technique can properly forecast COVID-19 states within a short period of time. Consequently, the developed simulator and analysis is observed as a valuable resource for COVID-19 state prediction, proactive action and also for information security and privacy. © 2020 IEEE.

This paper describes different ways of deploying a 5G network testbed for research porpouses. The proposed method allows us to introduce various research developments into the ecosystem of the network infrastructure. Using the laboratory infrastructure we propose a technique for investigating moving mobile devices using artificial signal distortion. This technique reduces the time and cost of test planning. At the same time, it simulates conditions close to real situations. © 2020 IEEE.

We have proposed an analytic compact model describing the drain current characteristics valid in all operating regions, for ultra-short channel cylindrical gate-all-around metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors considering source-to-drain tunnelling effect. The drain-induced barrier lowering had been incorporated from one two-dimensional analysis in our previous compact model. In this study, to represent the energy level profile along the device channel direction into the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximation by substituting a parabolic function, we can analytically derive the expressions of the transmission coefficients for source-to-drain tunneling. In the subthreshold region, the source-to-drain tunneling current then can be evaluated using the Landauer formula. Finally, a fully analytic compact model is proposed for representing the drain current in all operating regions. The results compared with non-equilibrium Green's function transport simulations can be obtained in a good agreement. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The profile parameters of the shape of the underwater vehicle were taken as the test factors, and the drag coefficient was the objective function. The experiment sample points were determined using the Box-Behnken method. The 3D model of each set of sample points was established using SolidWorks software, and the sample data was obtained by the fluid simulation software STAR-CCM+. Using the least squares method, a second-order response surface model of the drag coefficient of the underwater vehicle was created, and the optimal parameters of the shape of the underwater vehicle were obtained. In order to verify the effectiveness of the optimization results, the optimal parameters were simulated and verified, and the error between the simulation results and the optimization results was less than 1%. Therefore, the optimization method can be applied to the optimized design of the underwater vehicle. © 2019 IEEE.

This paper investigates the problem of one-step ahead optimal active sensing strategy to minimise estimation errors with range-only measurements for non-manoeuvring target. The determinant of Fisher Information Matrix (FIM) is utilized as the objective function in the proposed optimisation problem since it quantifies the volume of uncertainty ellipsoid of any efficient estimator. In consideration of physical velocity and turning rate constraints, the optimal heading angle command that maximises the cost function is derived analytically. Simulations are conducted to validate the analytical findings.

Legged motion has significant advantages over traditional locomotion techniques. Research and development on it have been constantly improving over the last couple of decades. Though there are numerous techniques in developing legged biped motion, none of them is fully satisfactory. The main aspects of legged motion are active balancing, smooth pattern generation and control. These play an important role in legged motion and there are numerous techniques developed to achieve it. The research that is shown in this project is to implement model-based design methodology in developing ZMP stability algorithm. The main area that is been concentrated in the implementation of hardware-in-loop (HIL) simulation using an xPC - target computer. The robot walking gait is generated by developing a Simulink plant model where the joint angles are tested on a virtual simulation platform. © 2019 IEEE.

Small reservoirs play an important role in the safety of flood control and economic development. Their operation and management are characterized by a large number of objects and a large amount of information, which requires effective data analysis means support. Based on this, big data analysis technology has been gradually applied and popularized in the operation and management of small reservoirs. In this paper, we first set up a small reservoir flood reporting system based on the data collection and analysis of various aspects such as reservoir capacity, characteristic water level, real-time data of water and rain situation, meteorological data, and presented the results in the paper. Secondly, we analyzed the under-reporting situation during the flood control period of the reservoir, and explored the under-reporting factors and the time when the under-reporting occurred. Finally, we conduct a time series analysis on the situation of water level exceeding the limit of 50 reservoirs during the flood control period, so that we can find the key reservoirs and important time points of flood control more intuitively and provide reference for the smooth development of the management of small reservoirs. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, we compared interpolation techniques for fixing the missing of internet traffic data. These techniques consist of 2-D interpolation, k-nearest neighbors (KNN), and correlation. We test various types of missing data with missing probability of 0.02 and 0.98. The interpolation technique performance is shown using Normalized Mean Square Error (NMSE) parameters. Simulation results show that all interpolation methods have the ability to recover lost information. 2-D interpolation and KNN suitable for small probability of missing while correlation is suitable for large probability of missing. © 2020 ACM.
