The proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) technology is leading to an escalation in cyber risks. The Intrusion Detection System (IDS) is crucial in countering cyber threats, with botnets being the most commonly detected attack in IoT networks. Anomaly-based IDS is necessary to enhance their capability in identifying cyber threat attributes through the use of supervised machine learning. This work investigates an enhanced supervised machine learning algorithm technique that combines filter-based feature selection methods, specifically Low Variance and Pearson Correlation Coefficient, to detect a new type of botnet attack. The CICIoT2023 dataset, an updated benchmark intrusion dataset specifically designed for IoT networks, is employed to assess the model’s performance using several algorithms including Decision Tree, Random Forest, Logistic Regression, and Naive Bayes. The results demonstrate that the model effectively enhances the identification of botnet attacks by reducing the number of features from 46 to 14. This optimization leads to improved performance, including increased accuracy level and reduced computation time. © 2024 IEEE.

data analysis in today's data-driven world has proved to be the most essential thing. The majority of the data generated online is unstructured and needs to be processed. Social media plays a vital role in sharing data on the internet in large amounts, this data needs to be handled properly and information from this unstructured data must be extracted. By using sentiment analysis, the intentions of textual data can be figured out and can classify properly on the internet. In the proposed approach, the implementation of sentiment analysis is done using the combination of various artificial intelligence technologies and LSTM including some key symbols like emojis with special characters to increase the accuracy of pre-built models. That can make them more practical in today's world. © 2022 IEEE.

Deep learning models for medical imaging are prone to learning shortcut solutions that rely on spurious correlations instead of clinically meaningful features, leading to poor generalization to new data. We propose an oracle-guided training scheme that encourages a student model to learn robust features in the presence of shortcuts. Our method regulates prediction confidence across intermediate network layers, significantly reducing shortcut impact. We evaluate our approach on CIFAR10, CheXpert, and ISIC 2017 datasets using ResNet18 and DenseNet121 architectures. Consistently, we outperform a model trained using Empirical Risk Minimization on a dataset containing a shortcut. In several cases, we close the gap on our clean baseline to the point that there is no statistically significant difference in performance. We also address the practical challenge of obtaining a clean oracle model, enhancing the method’s real-world applicability. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

In this project, ant algorithm and neural network technology are organically integrated to study a new fault diagnosis method. Then the ant algorithm is used to optimize the weight of the neural network, and the optimal rule set is used to train the neural network to obtain the fault intelligent diagnosis model. The model is applied to an example, which proves that the algorithm is feasible.

With the increasing growth of data scale and the increasing complexity of network structure, the heterogeneity, high sparsity, heterogeneity and high dimensionality of large-scale complex networks have become increasingly prominent. How to represent network information reasonably and effectively so as to better serve subsequent network analysis tasks has become the key problem of network analysis. Network representation learning aims to represent the components (nodes, edges, subnets, etc.) in the network as low dimensional dense vectors. This vector can fully retain the original network structure information and other heterogeneous information, and has the advantages of improving computing efficiency, mitigating the impact of data sparsity, and effectively merging heterogeneous information. This research focuses on homogeneous networks and heterogeneous networks, summarizes and analyzes advantages and shortcomings of the network representation learning methods in recent years, and gives the possible research directions and contents in the future work. © 2023 IEEE.

The configuration and coordinated operation strategy of integrated energy substation are proposed under the background of New-power system. The configuration method is in order to solve the problems of scale optimization design and coordinated operation. The problems contain electric vehicle charging station, 5G communication base station, data center, distributed photovoltaic and energy storage station with constraints of site conditions, function integration and business requirements. The inter station function integration scheme is proposed through in-depth analysis of the current development resource requirements of each station and the possibility of inter station function integration. In order to improve the utilization rate of spare space in the existing substation, the capacity optimization configuration model of each station and the coordinated control strategy between stations are established. Finally, the established optimization model is solved by Gurobi. The effectiveness of configuration method and economic optimization is verified by typical examples. © 2023 IEEE.

Research on the effects of teachers' fatigue on students' learning has been significantly less common than research on the effects of teachers' fatigue on teachers' own performance. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to see if teachers' emotional weariness has any bearing on their students' performance in the classroom. Consideration is given to a student's grades and their impressions of whether or not the system receive assistance from teachers, as well as to the student's general outlook on school, confidence in their own abilities, and faith in the availability of faculty support. data preparation, feature extraction, and model training are the first steps in the proposed approach. Indicators of the quality of the education being provided are eliminated (by outlier removal and feature scaling). k-mean clustering approach is a technique of clustering which is commonly used in feature extraction. Following feature extraction, GARCH-GRU models are trained. The proposed approach is superior to two popular alternatives, ARCH and GRU. Using the provided method, the system were able to achieve a maximum accuracy of 97.07%. © 2024 IEEE.

Currently, a large amount of heterogeneous event data with opaque event names (e.g., obscured IDs) are increasingly generated, e.g., the blockchain technology requires the transaction information to be recorded by different stakeholders in various ways from different blocks (i.e., distributed ledgers). Thus, a large amount of heterogeneous event data with opaque event names (e.g., obscured IDs) is generated on blockchains. To identify similar workflows on blockchains for collaborator selection, matching heterogeneous events is an important task. Existing techniques are inappropriate because they do not make full use of workflow features in event logs. We observe that several types of event constraints in event logs may serve as more discriminative features in event matching. Specifically, a general matching approach is proposed for identifying a right mapping that maximizes the similarity of event constraints for a pair of heterogeneous event logs. An advanced A* algorithm with a tight upper bound function is devised to improve the matching efficiency of the proposed approach. We conducted exr5tensive experiments to evaluate the effectiveness of our approach, and the experimental results demonstrate that our approach outperforms state-of-the-art matching approaches. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Aiming at the transport of biological samples under low temperature environment, a sample transport robot based on visual SLAM navigation was designed to complete the transport of sample tubes under low temperature cold storage environment. SLAM uses RGB-D SLAM three-thread scheme to complete real-time localization and mapping. The algorithm is improved considering that the actual environment is static stability and sufficient illumination, and the front-end odometer is prone to mismatching and the data association time. An improved "FAST-BRIEF-COUPLING" loosely coupled data association strategy is proposed to provide more response time for back-end optimization threads and global pose map optimization. Through the simulation environment experiment, the real-time and robust performance of the algorithm can meet the needs of practical applications. © 2024 SPIE.
