Tactile sensing is a complementary mode to visual and auditory perception, which plays a vital role in autonomous robotics. Improving the tactile sensing capability of robots with the aid of machine learning methods has attracted increasing attention. Various approaches have been developed for the understanding of the haptic adjectives. However, most of these methods use very complex features, and cannot exploit the correlation fully among the multiple tactile adjectives. An object is often described by more than one tactile adjective. On this basis, the tactile understanding of multiple adjectives can be formulated as a multi-label classification problem. To solve this problem, we exploit the potential relation among different adjectives and test the effect of the label correlation with different tactile classifiers. We design simpler tactile features and use four methods, standard support vector machine (SVM), k-nearest neighbors (KNN), and ranking support vector machine(RANK-SVM) to classify the tactile adjectives. Finally, extensive experiments are performed on the Penn Haptic Adjective Corpus 2 dataset, and the experiment results show that the proposed methods can achieve a higher classification F-1 score than the competing methods.

In view of the current problems of energy waste in China's office lighting, lack of intelligent lighting control and single adjustment mode, based on the domestic intelligentcontrol system, development status, current stage technology, etc., this paper proposes to adopt arduino as the main controller, combine with the infrared inductive sensor and the light sensor, the wifi network is used as the communication mode, and the delay, turn-off control and dimming functions can be automatically realized according to the detection condition of the sensor, thereby realizing the detection of the office lighting environment and the control and adjustment of the office lighting fixture. This research studies how to control a robot to stack blocks according to the block structure shown in a given image. In this project, a LabVIEW program is designed and run on a Lego Mindstorms NXT, which in turn controls a robot built with components of Matrix robotics. There are two operation modes for the block stacking robot. In the first mode, a user uses an Android smartphone to control the robot with Bluetooth to move around, pick up blocks, and stack them. In the second mode, the robot identifies the block structure in a given image with OpenCV and picks up the needed blocks to stack them to build the block structure. The robot was tested with two images of simple block structures in the second mode. The success rates ranged from 7 to 80 %. Future work should further identify the weaknesses of the robot and improve its performance.

In this paper, we presented a sufficient condition on the frequency domain for the absolutely stable analysis of the Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy control system. For modeling the plant and controller we used transfer functions instead of the state description and showed that the overall T-S fuzzy plant is a polytope of transfer functions. Besides, by applying local proportional controllers, the bounds of proportional parameter of the overall fuzzy controller can be computed. Hence the robust absolutely stability criterions with graphical interpretation for closed-loop T-S fuzzy control system were derived.

The structure and dynamic process characteristics of furnace temperature control system of billet heating furnace are analyzed, and the idea of adaptive control without model is put forward, and the corresponding temperature controller is constructed. In the process of furnace temperature control, the nonlinear, hysteresis and time-varying characteristics of the system are analyzed. In the process of heating and cooling control, the idea of fuzzy control is used to effectively overcome the difficulty that the system parameters are not suitable to cause the temperature fluctuation in the process of temperature rise and fall. The simulation results show that the controller can control the furnace temperature well.

An approach to the analysis and design of continuous T-S fuzzy control system is proposed in this paper. The fuzzy logic controller has two consequents in each rule. They are numerator part and denominator part and are equivalent to any proper practical controller. It is shown that the overall closed-loop system behaves like an uncertain polytope of polynomials and the system stability can be checked by using some graphical robust stability criteria. The complex process on finding a common Lyapunov function to guarantee the system stability can be omitted. An illustrative example will be given to demonstrate the ability of the design procedure in the proposed approach.
