The 2019-nCoV can be transmitted through respiratory droplets and other methods, which greatly endangers public health security. Wearing masks correctly has been proven to be one of the effective means to prevent virus infection, but limited by the complexity of practical application scenarios, the wearing of masks still relies heavily on manual supervision. Therefore, a fast and accurate face mask wearing detection method is urgently needed. In this paper, a mask detection algorithm based on improved YOLO-v4 is proposed as a solution to the problems of low accuracy, poor real-time performance, and poor robustness caused by complicated environments. In addition, a number of different training approaches, such as mosaic data augment, CIOU, label smoothing, cosine annealing, etc., are introduced. These techniques help to increase the training speed of the model as well as the accuracy of its detection. With a fast-training model, the model will be able to detect and compare the results of samples from different scenarios. The experiment will compare front and side faces, different colored masks, scenes of varying complexity and other perspectives in a systematic way. The experiment's result was able to reach 99.38 % accuracy after the model was trained using data from a variety of face masks being worn. Experiment results, both quantitative and qualitative, indicate that the method can be adapted to most scenarios and offers effective ideas for improvement. © 2023 SPIE.

Nowadays, every company is trying to become a tech company as we have seen that software is consuming the entire world. So, how the company approaches software development and serves their customers show how efficient their employees are or how agile their organization is. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for the companies to make correct decision about the architectural choices early in the software development life cycle. It has been observed that containers are taking place of virtual machines in the IT industry because they do not require to incorporate guest operating system in each instance like virtual machines, and they simply support the property and resources of host OS. In the digital era where Industrie 4.0 has emerged, most of the application are either web based or mobile based and also, people are becoming very specific in selecting their products and amenities over internet. This preference in choices of users makes it difficult for the service provider to understand which product or service they should provide to the user so that the user can select appropriately and that too in less time. This has led to the use of recommendation system for these purposes. Also, the recommendation system helps manufacturers to understand that which product has higher consumption and which product has lower consumption. This paper tries its best to first explain the foundation concept of recommendation system and its forms. Also, the paper tries its best to deep dive into all the relevant research that has been carried out to understand the merits as well as limitation of if recommendation system. This work deals with various machine learning algorithms such as Neural Collaborative Filtering (NCF), Embedding Layers, Deep Neural Networks (DNN), Matrix Factorization, Hybrid Model: Collaborative Filtering (SVD), Content-Based Filtering. The paper also highlights the vital applications of recommendation system that are useful in real life. © 2025 IEEE.

Heart disease is a leading global health challenge, emphasizing the need for effective diagnostic solutions. This study evaluated the accuracy of machine learning algorithms in heart disease diagnosis with the aim of finding the most reliable method. The algorithms examined contain Random Forest, Support Vector Classifier, Gradient Boosting, AdaBoost, Optimized Logistic Regression, SVM, Naive Bayes, K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Decision Trees, and SGD Classifier. Among them, optimized logistic regression and naive Bayes have the highest accuracy of up to 88.52%, demonstrating their predictive capabilities. The result of this work is optimized logistic regression and naive Bayes are capable of early detection of cardiovascular disease. Offering major perspective for integration into clinical practice. Future work will explore the refinement and real-world application of these models to further improve healthcare outcomes. © 2025 IEEE.

European Soccer also known as soccer is considered to be the most popular team sport in the world. It is believed to be played by more than a whopping 150 million men as well as women of all the different age groups in probably more than 200 countries. Various techniques that can predict the outcome for professional soccer matches have used the count of goals which was scored by each team and use it as a base measure that evaluates performance of the team and also helps to estimate future results. In the sector of machine learning, various clustering algorithms are commonly used for creating several clusters. In this paper, an efficient clustering algorithm that is Fuzzy C-Mean clustering is proposed which would make different clusters that result to clustering of the home team corner with respect to away team corner on Soccer dataset. This clustering will help coaches to take right decision for improving their performance. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Due to an exponential increase in the use of Internet by persons from different countries and educational backgrounds, the offensive online language detection has become a significant task facing natural language processing. Considering the major negative impact of this type of content in the case of youngers, detecting online toxic language to protect users' online safety becomes an urgent issue. The project has two main goals: (1) developing an annotated corpus of offensive content for Romanian language and (2) testing various machine learning algorithms to identify a best approach. The proposed methods achieve results with a few percentages more than the accuracy of the current SoTA. © 2022 The Authors. Published by Elsevier B.V.

The liver is the human body's largest internal organ. Globally, liver disease is considered the cause of approximately 2 million yearly death - whereas the 11th and 16th worldwide leading causes of death are cirrhosis and liver cancer. In the Philippines, according to the Department of Health (DOH), liver cancer is ranked as the 3rd leading cause of death. In most cases, surgery may be considered a possible cure if detected at an early stage. However, there is no efficient early detection method for liver cancer. In this paper, multiple machine learning methodologies are modeled to provide diagnosis classification of liver disease based on the laboratory parameter readings. Based on the results for all models, the most accurate prediction is made by ANN at 89%, followed by SVM at 79.5%. The results establish that AI-based machine learning approaches may be utilized for assisting medical-related diagnosis. © 2022 IEEE.

Through quantitative and qualitative research methods, this paper investigates the application of online learning platform for English reading among Chinese college students, and puts forward the construction mode of self-learning platform for English reading based on artificial intelligence due to application problems and students’ needs. The survey shows that both English reading websites and smart-phone apps are students’ favorite reading platforms. The former are more comfortable and convenient to read with rich reading resources and the latter are easy to carry and can act as learning assistants. The main problems of the current online English reading platform include: the classification of articles on the website is based on topic but not the difficulty;it has few related background information or extended learning material;it is lack of synchronous exercises covering listening, speaking, reading, writing and translating skills;the knowledge learned cannot be effectively recorded or stored in personal learning corpus. Based on these problems, the AI-based learning platform for English reading lays emphasis on the following aspects: classifying online articles due to their difficulty, supplying reading articles with extended reading material and supporting English exercises, recording key words and accumulating knowledge in personalized self-learning corpus. © 2022 SPIE.

With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, more and more people are pursuing spiritual satisfaction. Landscape planning and design need to adapt to people's needs based on the current situation. In response to the problems of slow landscape data processing speed and inaccurate landscape layout positioning in traditional public landscape spatial hierarchical planning systems, this paper would study the public landscape spatial hierarchical system based on Geographic Information System (GIS) technology, and use GIS technology to build a public landscape planning system to help better build public landscape. Through the experiment, it can be found that the use of GIS technology can effectively improve the speed of the system for landscape data processing and reduce the time required for processing. When the landscape data is 50GB, the processing time of the public landscape planning system based on GIS technology is 8.95 minutes, much faster than other systems. Based on GIS technology, urban public landscape design can be effectively implemented, helping to achieve a hierarchical layout of public landscapes during design. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. Cancer is grouped into many diseases that can originate in any organ of the human body. It is a type of tumor (cancerous), defined as the uncontrolled growth of damaged or abnormal cells. After originating, they spread to other parts of the body, causing tumors to grow there, too, called metastasis. Cancerous tumors are also known as malignant tumors. To prepare an effective treatment for cancer patients, it must be detected in the early phase. machine learning and deep learning algorithms may assist in automating this task. One of the most commonly used deep learning techniques is Convolutional Neural Network (CNN). The present study reviews cancer detection using deep learning approaches by elaborating the datasets, results, limitations, and approaches. © 2022, Springer Nature Switzerland AG.
