This research investigates the feasibility of utilizing mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) in conjunction with Raspberry Pi-equipped Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) swarms. The primary objective is to overcome the limitations of traditional communication infrastructures in dynamic and decentralized environments. Specifically, we address the challenge of establishing reliable and efficient communication links within a swarm of UAVs engaged in various applications, including disaster response, military reconnaissance, and environmental monitoring. By integrating Raspberry Pi devices with UAVs, we aim to create a self-organizing communication network that enables seamless data transmission, coordinated swarm operations, and enhanced mission effectiveness. The research explores different synchronization strategies, including master-slave and decentralized approaches, to optimize swarm coordination. Furthermore, we investigate the potential of incorporating advanced technologies such as machine learning, computer vision, and swarm intelligence to further enhance the autonomy, adaptability, and overall performance of the UAV swarm. © 2025 IEEE.

A Machine Learning-Driven Rate adaptation Strategy for Cross-Layer Routing in mobile ad-hoc networks (MANET) represents the main contribution of the research which solves QoS challenges in real-time applications. The protocol uses machine learning algorithms to detect dynamic changes in network conditions which include link quality assessment and queue status monitoring and congestion monitoring. This network design unites data from physical along with MAC and network layer components to reach optimal resources utilization. Real-time traffic patterns together with node mobility data get processed by machine learning models which lead to adaptive congestion control and rate adaptation decisions. Through its approach the protocol identifies several node-disjoint paths which boost network resistance to link failures. Computer simulation results prove that the protocol delivers superior packet delivery performance and lower end-to-end delay and enhanced adaptability under changing traffic conditions and mobile node environments. The new methodology surpasses conventional methods by offering strong backing for applications that require delayed tolerance and vast bandwidth needs while handling modern MANETs so well through a complete performance solution. © 2025 IEEE.

VANET is a special type of mobile ad-hoc network (MANET), focusing one wireless communication between vehicles and between vehicles and roadside infrastructure. It is an indispensable component of the Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). There are numerous protocols which can be used by engineers construct the VANET. However, there is a lack of information about the reliability and the performance about each protocol. In this paper, we establish a model that can accurately reflect the road and traffic condition of the real world. Therefore, the proposed model can be used to test the safety level and efficiency of different model. Moreover, we also evaluate and analyse three commonly used models in detail based on the simulation of the proposed system. In the end, we use our conclusion to explain some difficulties in other paper, and provide the future potential of this system for VANET. © 2025 SPIE.

Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) are a specialized form of wireless communication networks where vehicles act as mobile nodes, forming an interconnected network. The efficient transmission and reception of packets between these vehicles heavily rely on the routing protocols employed within VANETs. While several routing protocols from mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) have been adapted for VANETs, the distinctive features of VANETs, like high mobility and dynamic topology, present challenges that require specific considerations. One of the key challenges in VANETs is the establishment of secure routing protocols. Due to the potential for malicious attacks, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data transmission becomes paramount. This study aims to provide a comprehensive amalgamation of the major routing protocols that have resolved the security issues in Vehicular ad hoc networks. additionally, a comparative analysis of the features offered by these protocols will be conducted, along with an evaluation of their performance aspects. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also called drones, are planes operated by unmanned aircraft and controlled remotely via built-in computers or remote control. Their applications span from surveillance to delivery, and even agriculture to communications. Battery life and range limitations may limit the operational time of UAVs. They can create privacy issues, security risks, and potential threats to air traffic and public safety if not properly regulated. NB-IoT networks are addressed by the USC-WBND approach using semi-permanent scheduling (SPS) and shorter transmission time intervals (TTI). Using a fixed 1ms TTI can reduce latency and allocate resources more efficiently while decreasing the number of OFDM symbols. Relay requests for scheduling resources are eliminated in SPS, resulting in reduced latency for devices with regular transmissions. Moreover, the user's information, login details, and device settings along with GPS tracking are all managed by a cloud-based display platform, which allows for tailored access and precise location tracking. By visualizing UAV distribution in 2D and 3D, it is possible to select the most suitable drone locations to minimize interference and enhance coverage. A 2D technique is concerned with determining height and location, while another 3D approach employs a game of matching to find the most suitable UAVs for different user densities and interference. This mathematical modeling and algorithm aim to find the best placement for UAVs, maximize coverage by IoT nodes, and provide optimal service quality. The proposed strategies improve network efficiency, reduce interference, and optimize the placement of data transmission relays, providing significant advances in smart city environments. The main issues in NB-IoT and UAV deployments are addressed through this comprehensive approach, which seeks to address network performance problems by enhancing connectivity and decreasing latency. Aged users face unique challenges as they use mobile banking applications, and financial institutions must adapt and include security in the design of mobile banking applications to cater to the unique needs of this demographic. Aging can result in physical challenges and disabilities that impact the use of mobile banking applications;however, these are not the only factors that could affect the usage of mobile banking applications by aged users. Multiple security factors need to be considered. By segmenting the aged by physical impairments and challenges, mobile banking application design possibilities for the aged are not fully realized. This paper proposes a conceptual model for mobile banking applications for aged users in South Africa. The conceptual model is derived from an analysis of current literature and is founded on the Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2), which may provide insights for designing secure mobile banking applications for aged users. A scoping literature review was carried out using the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) method, which involved the analysis of a total of 15 articles. The review of the existing literature indicated that limited research existed that examined the factors that impact the security of mobile banking applications for aged users in South Africa. Therefore, the conceptualized model could serve as a reference for the investigation of aged users’ perceptions of the security of mobile banking applications, which could inform the design of secure mobile banking applications for aged users. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

These structures are essential for preserving a clean float of verbal exchange without a centralized infrastructure or constant direction topologies. Self-reliant communications systems offer sturdy, self-configuring, self-healing, and self-organizing communication networks. Smart Farming with IOT and sensor networks is an advanced technology that enables traditional farmers to reduce waste and introduce intelligence in measuring the productivity of crops. The papers show how deploying IOT and sensor networks has contributed to enhancing productivity, reducing costs, and sustainability through a few successful case studies spanning regions under development. IOT and sensor networks for Agriculture: Low-cost sensors and communication devices with data analytics help collect and analyze real-time information from farms. Along with weather forecasts, soil analysis, and other useful insights, it helps farmers take technocratic actions, eventually allowing them to use their resources better. IOT and sensor networks are particularly useful in developing countries, where small-scale farmers often cannot access modern technologies and information. Farmers using IOT systems for drip irrigation can use their mobile phones to control watering remotely and thus increase water efficiency significantly, as was the case in India. Leveraging sensor networks to advance precision farming has successfully grown crops with higher yields and less fertilizer use in Africa. Using IOT and sensor networks in the application layer can significantly enhance food security, diminish ecological footprint, and foster sustainable agricultural practices, particularly in developing countries. The world has a later taste of the benefits that would eventuate in one dark-haired roommate becoming somewhat more bearded and less university student-like than ever before;there is still much research to come on this technology, which could change the face (not beard)of global agriculture - improving livelihoods for millions upon million small-scale farmers. © 2025 IEEE.
