To investigate the classification performance of combined arm motions only using surface electromyography(EMG)signal,six different feature sets were adopted to match support vector machine(SVM)classifier *** unilateral transradial amputees participated in multi-channel surface EMG signal *** results show that the wavelet features outperforms others with average classification accuracy 98%±2%for intact arm and 89%±6%for amputated arm across all *** the classification performance of intact arm motions was significantly better than that of amputated arm motions.

Decision tree is an important method for both induction research and data mining, which is mainly used for model classification and prediction. WEKA is software which is capable of doing work on various decision tree algorithms and support vector machine. In this paper, the comparative study of all Decision Tree algorithms is done. The training time, Accuracy and size of tree are the parameters used as performance measures. It is concluded that J48 Graft algorithm performs better than other algorithms. The dataset used is KDD cup'99 dataset. This dataset contains normal as well as abnormal packets. The dataset is highly uneven. We worked out on some 1000 selected packets. The support vector machine algorithms have the ability to be trained and `learn' in a given environment. This feature can be used in connection with an intrusion detection system, where the support vector machine algorithm can be trained to detect intrusions by recognizing patterns of an intrusion. This paper outlines an investigation on the support vector machine models and choice of one of them for evaluation and implementation. The work also includes works on computer networks, providing a description and analysis of the structure of the computer network in order to generate network features.

In radiology, it is significantly important to produce adequate diagnostic information for affecting the patient with the lowest amount of dose. A contrast-detail phantom is generally used to study the quality of the image and the amount of radiation dose for a digital X-ray imaging system. For evaluating the quality of a phantom image, the radiologists are required to indicate the location of the holes in each square in the phantom image. Then, the image quality figure (IQF) of the image can be calculated. However, evaluation by the human eye is subjective and time-consuming. In this paper, an image processing based IQF evaluation method is proposed to automatically measure the quality of a phantom image. The experimental results tell that the proposed method is more sensitive in estimating the IQF of a phantom image than the observation of radiologists.

In retrospect, too many attempts have been made and enormous results achieved. Especially, distributed control systems (DCS) on the basis of parallel machines. Eventually, state-of-the-art extension algorithm named pigeon Hole principle will be presented for assigning jobs to machines in a distributed control systems for the whole the system. Water environment pollution has become a major environmental problem recently. It is an urgent task for mankind to improve the wastewater treatment efficiency. Using optimization control technology to wastewater treatment processes can help to reduce the operating cost, increase treatment rate, and therefore improve water environment quality. patternrecognition is used in this paper to control the process of biological nitrogen and phosphorus removal in SBR. In this way the duration of each reaction phase is limited to the time exactly necessary for the actual loading conditions. Simulation results show that the cycle of wastewater treatment process can be significantly shortened while the effluent can comply with the integrated wastewater discharge standard. As a result, the process operation is more efficient and the energy consumption is reduced.

Accurate and timely information is critical for the safe landing of aircraft in now-a-days. The goal of an EMAS (Engineered Materials Arresting System) is to avoid aircraft overrun with no human injury and minimal aircraft damage. Although many techniques have been developed for the analysis of object detection, relatively few researchers have considered image analysis as an aid to aircraft landing. In one system, image intensity edges are used to detect the sides of a runway in an image sequence, and the 3-dimensional position and orientation of the runway can be estimated. For better detection and extraction of objects from an aerial image, a fuzzy network system is used. In another system integration of biologically and geometrically inspired approaches for detecting objects from hyper spectral and/or multispectral (HS/MS), multi-scale, multiplatform imagery is used. But the drawback of these technologies is similarity in the top view of runways and building and roads or other objects. We propose a new method to detect and track the runway using pattern matching and texture analysis using digital images from cameras mounted on the aircraft. In order to detect runway from aerial image edge detection algorithms are used. In this paper the edge detection techniques used are Hough Transform, Canny Filter and Sobel Filter algorithms which lead to efficient detection of runways from aerial images.

Under the supposition that the jump of surplus investment return follows a multiplex Poisson process with Laplace disseminated jump sizes,through the factorization technique instead of the integro-differential equation approach,we obtain the explicit closed form expression of the resulting it expected discounted penalty function. In particular,when the claim dissemination is of Phase-type,the expression of the EDP function is simplified even further as a compact matrix-type form. The study first summarizes the characteristics of various intelligent algorithms such as improved genetic algorithm, differential evolution algorithm and ant colony algorithm adopted in test paper generation, and then proposes the parallel evolution of swarm based on ideas of shared intelligent algorithm and dynamic multi branches tree algorithm, so as to improve searching speed and achieve the effect of short-time optimization. During forming optimal individuals, classified training and repeated recognition by virtue of dynamic multi branches tree can not only avoid premature appearance but also get strong convergence. In addition, when the constraints change, the existing knowledge can be inherited. Facts have shown that this algorithm has certain theoretical significance and reference value to the development of intelligent test paper generation algorithm.
