Quadcopter drones offer a new approach to environmental monitoring, offering advantages over traditional methods such as flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and high-resolution data collection. Quadcopter-based environmental sensing is a rapidly developing field with the potential to have a significant impact on a wide range of environmental monitoring applications. This paper reviews the state-of-the-art in quadcopter-based environmental sensing, including sensor integration, data collection and analysis, and applications. One of the key challenges is developing robust and reliable sensors that can be integrated into quadcopter drones. Another challenge is developing efficient and effective algorithms for collecting and analyzing environmental data from quadcopter drones. Future research focuses on developing robust sensors and efficient algorithms for quadcopter-based environmental sensing. © 2024 IEEE.

The growth of industrial intelligence has led to greater automation in numerous sectors. As robots are becoming increasingly prevalent, companies must confront the essential matter of how to employ them to supplant manual labour, ultimately heightening productivity and efficiency. This paper outlines the development of an automated vibration robot comprising a vertical vibration robot cell, a rail-type inclined insertion vibration robot system, and other cells working in collaboration. This paper uses box girder vibration as the foundational framework and conducts field experiments with an automated vibration robot designed for this purpose. The measurements of concrete strength reveal that the automated vibrating robot meets industrial standards, thus verifying its capacity to perform large-scale construction vibration. The potential for substituting human labour with automated robots in large-scale vibration construction is showcased. © 2023 IEEE.

With the emergence of Internet of Things (IoT) applications that provide services based on location information. The Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology is considered as one of the key technologies of the Internet of Things' sensing layer. In the Internet of Things (IoT) domain, further research on the positioning technology of RFID nodes has significant practical implications. Initially, this article analyzes a variety of existing RFID indoor positioning technologies and then focuses on fingerprint positioning technology to improve the traditional fingerprint positioning algorithm and finally demonstrates that the improved algorithm delivers more accurate positioning through MATLAB simulation. © 2023 IEEE.

Real-time data processing is facing many issues as a result of the Internet of Things' rapid expansion, especially at the network's edge where latency, bandwidth, and compute resources are limited. The creation of hybrid AI-electronic systems for real-time edge processing is investigated as a solution to these problems. To improve the effectiveness and precision of data processing in Internet of Things contexts, the research combines machine learning algorithms with sophisticated electronic circuits. The techniques include creating a brand-new hybrid framework that blends edge computing and AI models and focuses for low latency and low power consumption. When compared to conventional edge processing systems, extensive simulations and real-world research show a 25% reduction in processing latency and a 15% gain in data categorization accuracy. According to the findings, the suggested hybrid AI-electronic system can successfully handle the requirements of contemporary IoT networks and offer a scalable real-time edge processing solution. This strategy has potential for use in smart city applications, industrial automation, and other fields in the future. © 2025 IEEE.

This research study presents an interactive Tactile book Framework designed to address the need for accessible learning and entertainment materials for the visually impaired community. The Framework utilizes a combination of tactile elements, audio descriptions, and Braille characters to create an immersive and engaging learning experience. Key features include a modular design for creating different book types, smart battery management, and interactive activities to reinforce learning. A proof-of-concept designing with three books (story and learning) demonstrates the Framework's potential to enhance Accessibility and promote active engagement for visually impaired individuals. This study discusses about the proposed framework's functionalities, and potential applications, highlighting its contribution to inclusive education and presents an evaluation of the proposed framework, including usability testing results and discusses potential applications and future work. In addition, the study includes insightful user feedback that highlights the beneficial effects of the Framework on the educational path of visually impaired individuals and provides personal insights into their experiences. This proposed framework proves to be a crucial tool in dosing educational gaps and enabling visually impaired people to participate in engaging and stimulating learning activities. The interactive Tactile book Framework has the potential to significantly improve educational opportunities and enhance the learning experiences of individuals with visual impairments. © 2024 IEEE.

In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic and special scenarios, the normalization of online work, office and learning has brought the issue of digital signature to be solved. This paper presents an innovative research on a remote biomimetic signature robot based on IoT, utilizing Raspberry Pi 4B and single-chip microcomputer as the core devices. This project mainly consists of three modules: client module, server module, and transmission module. The client module designs the client app using the Vue framework, supporting component-based and module-based development. The server module adopts embedded development with single-chip microcomputer and Raspberry Pi. The transmission module develops a new algorithm suitable for this project by learning sha1, md5, base64 and other algorithms, and using secure encryption algorithms and data destruction to ensure the data security of the signature robot, avoiding data leakage and tampering issues. After testing, the remote signature robot is reliable and practical. Through this project, not only has the theoretical and practical ability of university students been strengthened, but also their self-learning ability and application innovation ability have been expanded, and their social service awareness has been enhanced, laying a solid foundation for their future career development. © 2023 IEEE.

Since the attitude angle between the gripper and the roller of the robot arm is not adjusted during the autonomous obstacle surmounting process of the substation inspection robot, and the obstacle surmounting route found is not optimal, the path of the substation inspection robot for autonomous obstacle surmounting is not the optimal result. Therefore, the autonomous obstacle surmounting method of the substation inspection robot based on locust optimization algorithm is proposed. After calculating the vertical distance between the overhead line and the working ground and adjusting the attitude angle between the gripper and the roller of the manipulator, a two-dimensional Gaussian scale space is constructed to extract the key feature points of the obstacle image in the space. According to the feature extraction results, combined with the locust optimization algorithm, the autonomous obstacle path of the substation inspection robot is planned to obtain the most superior obstacle path. In the experiment, the obstacle surmounting effect of the proposed method is verified. The experimental results show that the error rate of the optimal solution is low and the path planning performance is good when the proposed method is used for robot autonomous obstacle crossing control. © 2023 SPIE.

Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) have become increasingly susceptible to side-channel attacks, compromising the security of sensitive information processed on these devices. This paper presents a novel approach to mitigating GPU side-channel vulnerabilities using shader execution pattern analysis. The proposed technique enables the development of precision countermeasures that effectively obscure the timing and power consumption patterns exploited by adversaries. By leveraging insights gained from analysing shader execution patterns, we develop targeted countermeasures that combine data-dependent execution balancing, power consumption smoothing, and dynamic noise injection to provide comprehensive protection against a wide range of side-channel attacks. Experimental results demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed method in significantly reducing the leakage of sensitive information through GPU side channels while incurring minimal performance overhead. The findings of this research contribute to the advancement of GPU security and the protection of sensitive data in graphics-intensive applications, paving the way for more secure and trustworthy computing environments. © 2024 IEEE.

Coal procurement has always been the focus of thermal power enterprises. Since 2015, thermal power has ushered in the era of price competition. The power grid price and power generation of thermal power have entered the channel of 'double reduction'. The dual control policy of energy consumption has led to the decline of coal production capacity. The regional thermal power enterprises are in fierce competition, and the profitability of thermal power enterprises has weakened. While the power generation and on grid electricity prices have decreased, the coal price has risen. At present, fuel procurement costs account for over 70% of the overall cost of coal-fired power generation enterprises, and the level of fuel costs plays a key role in the profitability of thermal power enterprises. In order to cope with the fierce market environment, coal-fired power producers need to continuously optimize their operating costs to improve their competitiveness. However, most of China's power generation enterprises generally adopt empirical and manual means to prepare procurement plans, which lack scientific and rationality. In this paper, we consider the factors of coal quality, environmental protection, and supplier capabilities comprehensively, construct a procurement model for coal-fired power plants and formulate a scientific procurement plan, which also can assist power generation companies in their purchasing decisions. © 2024 IEEE.
