Manual scavenging was ruled illegal in 2013, but private contractors hired by the municipal government continue to employ manua scavengers. Hundreds reportedly die from the work each year. To provide a complete solution to this deplorable situation, artificia intelligence is used as a replacement to manpower. The sewage inspection and cleaning is done by a mechanical device driven b;electronic automation. BhrtyArtana (where 'Bhrtya' means robot and 'Artana' means waste) is an automated sewer robot that cai conduct an inspection of the sewage pipeline and clear any blockage within it. The robot first inspects sewer lines for cracks, corrosion obstacles, etc. A camera installed atop the robot carries out live streaming of the interior of the pipeline. These visuals are viewed b the operator in software to be recorded for future reference. Furthermore, the robot is equipped with a proximity sensor at the front o its body to detect the presence of an obstacle in front of it. As the robot nears the obstacle, the turbine starts cutting through th obstacle, thus, clearing the obstacle. Thus, this device effectively decreases all the predicaments associated with sewage cleaning an inspection. © 2017 IEEE.

In the past few decades, medical robots have developed rapidly. In this paper, medical robots are divided into the following categories based on the application of medical robots: neurosurgery robots, orthopedic robots, endoscopic surgery robots, instrutive robots, rehabilitation-assisted robots and capsule robots. The research and application status of typical surgical robots at home and abroad are briefly introduced, and medical 3D image modeling, virtual surgery simulation, open-source surgical systems, and remote surgery in complex environments involved in medical robots are studied. Key technologies were discussed, and the future direction of medical robots was pointed out. © 2018 IEEE.

This paper introduces a mars exploration robot based system that useful to explore the planet mars. Mars Rover NSU is a semi-autonomous robot that is developed based on sensors and interactive applications. The robot is capable of completing human assistant tasks, Astronaut assistance task, collecting resource from planet mars, giving a feedback of soils condition such as temperature, moisture, pH. This robotics system includes a web based mother station from where the rover is controlled and given instructions to complete tasks. The mars rover will be used in planetary exploration research to explore life on mars. This rover has rocker-bogie suspension system, robotics arm, Drilling mechanism, live feed camera, aluminum wheels suitable to explore planet mars. This research is mainly focused on robotic system and computational efficiency. The system is consist of a GPS system for mapping purpose and smooth controlling features. In his paper we will discuss about different functionalities of mars rover. The end result will show the efficiency, impact and performance analysis of the system.

robotic hand exoskeleton has been proposed to train the paretic hand after stroke, and its movements can be controlled by recognized activities of non-paretic hand. Although a variety of myoelectric pattern identification strategies have been proposed to distinguish different hand gestures by the surface electromyogram (sEMG) signals, the feature matrix of hand movements should be simplified for on-line myoelectric control. Synergistic muscle activity has been known as a principle for center nervous system (CNS) to modulate the multi-joint limb movement, here, we aim to study the feasibility of the muscle synergies for gesture recognition with simplified feature vector. Five healthy participants were recruited to perform hand tasks of hand open(open), hand close(close), key pinch(key), palm valgus(val), and grasp cylindrical tool(cyl). sEMG were recorded from six forearm hand muscles, and non-negative matrix factorization (NMF) was used to extract the synergistic patterns of myoelectrical activities. The preliminary results showed that each hand gesture can be expressed with one muscle synergy pattern, which consists of the contribution of six forearm muscles. With the synergistic features, the recognition rate of hand gestures reached 96.08%. The present work suggested that the muscle synergy can be used for hand gesture recognition with low dimension feature vector.

In training machine learning models, loss functions are commonly applied to judge the quality and capability of the models. Traditional loss functions usually neglect the cost-sensitive loss in different intervals, although sensitivity plays an important role for the models. This paper proposes a cost-sensitive loss function based on an interval error evaluation method (IEEM). Using the key points of grade-structured intervals, two methods are proposed to construct the loss function: a piecewise function linking by key points, and a curve function fitting by key points. The proposed function was evaluated against three different loss functions based on a BP neural network. The comparison results show that the proposed loss function based on IEEM made the best prediction of the PM2.5 air quality grade in Guangzhou, China. © Springer international Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2018.

In this paper, we present a framework (FedQL) for processing rdF stream and relational data in a federal way. Firstly, we introduce a formalization of our federated query language by conjunction of continuous queries and SQL queries. Secondly, we present a white-box-based framework to separate query processing from query executing. The framework mainly includes three modules, namely, Query processor, Data transformer, and SPARQL query execution. Finally, we implement FedQL built on C-SPARQL and MySQL by employing three centralized SPARQL engines (e.g. Jena, rdF-3X, and gStore) and one distributed SPARQL engine (e.g. TriAD) in an adaptive way and evaluate FedQL on a real-world dataset. The experimental results show that FedQL is efficient and effective in processing rdF stream and relational data in a federal way. © Springer international Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2018.

The paper presents an approach for integration of three-dimensional world models (octree based maps) in multi-robot systems. The process of maps integration is based on ICP (Iterative Closest Point) algorithm that has been adapted and optimized to operate on octomaps. The presented method has been verified in numerous experiments both in simulation and with publicly available datasets captured from robots. The solution can be applied to various robotic applications such as underwater robots, aerial robots or robots equipped with manipulators - wherever 3D maps are needed and a task is performed by group of mobile robots.

Trust is one of the most important types of social information since we are more likely to accept viewpoints from whom we trust. Trustee recommendation aims to provide a target individual with a list of candidate users she might be trust. However, most existing work on this topic focuses on the use of trusters’ interest but ignores the influence of trustees for recommendation. In this article, we propose a simple but effective method with the incorporation of both interest and influence of users for trustee recommendation based on binary user-user trust feedback. Specifically, we first introduce LDA twice on truster-documents corpus and trustee-documents corpus respectively to discover interest communities of users and influence communities of users. We then perform matrix factorization method on each community and finally design a merge method to rank the top-N trustees for a target user. Experimental results on Epinions dataset demonstrate that our proposed method outperforms other counterparts by large margins. © Springer international Publishing AG, part of Springer Nature 2018.

Malicious access points (APs) have emerged as a serious security problem. In this paper, we propose LAMP, a lightweight and accurate malicious access points localization via channel phase information. We utilize a commercial wireless card for malicious APs localization with little human effort. The localization framework consists of three components: feature extraction, direction determination and localization. We first extract the available channel phase information by a linear transformation and purify eigenvalues by denoising. Then, the direction of an AP can be accurately detected by our developed self-adaptive MUSIC algorithm. Finally, the localization of the AP is realized by a triangulation algorithm with only one device placed at multiple locations. Experimental results show the median detection error of angle is about 5. and median localization error is about 35 cm.

The field of humanoid robots is currently overwhelming. Therefore it is necessary to give an overview by arranging these robots in groups. Until now there was only a first trial from the commercial side in 4 categories (Professional, Amateur, Toy and Cost Oriented robots). The present work tries to propose a meaningful classification of actually available humanoid robots being stable at least for some time from a technological viewpoint. Four groups are generated according to their main tasks robotaimnent ("Fluffy"), Infosistance ("Hero"), Rescue ("Buddy") and 26d ("***"). These sample groups involve 14 species, which are presently available and produced by some Universities and Companies. Exemplarily they are classified into the given groups. Further developments associated with artificial intelligence might merge those groups, still keeping the main orientation of their aims. This might be seen as the limitations of (any) today's classification of humanoid robots. Based on the results some "Cost Oriented Humaoid robots COHR" can be identified and compared.
