Aiming at the demand of modern people for smart home and low-carbon life, and in response to the national call for carbon neutrality and energy conservation, we have designed a smart curtain system based on IoT (Internet of Things), voice technology, AI (Artificial intelligence) and solar energy by analyzing the current situation and prospects of the smart curtain market. The designed function is tested and verified by the built object. The test results show that compared with the traditional mode, the system of smart curtain can be controlled in two ways, and the work is reliable, has high precision and meets the modern humanized design. In addition, the system can not only supply power for curtains, but also for other furniture, combining green resources and intelligence. The project has achieved the anticipation. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, we design and build a bionic robot based on a sea turtle. The part of the device includes joint design, sealing design and controls. The sinusoidal curve is used to analyze the turtle robot's fin motion profile and to control the way it moves. Individual joints are given movement curves during sea turtle movement. Synergy of different fin joints during sea turtle movement is verified with MATLAB software. In addition, we also measure the propulsion force of the bionic turtle robot. The experimental results show that the use of trigonometric curves for the fin joint trajectory of the turtle robot can lead to an appropriate motion.

Eye complications of diabetes include diabetic retinopathy (DR). It's caused by retinal blood vessel alterations. Working-age individuals' major cause of blindness is diabetic retinopathy. Early identification of diabetic retinopathy may prevent or postpone visual loss. Artificial intelligence (AI) can use computational image analysis methods to automatically identify and categorize diabetic retinopathy in retinal pictures. In this paper we study and analyze the different transfer learning models for early detection of diabetic retinopathy for retinal images. According to our findings, the accuracy of predictions ranges from 74% to 81%. It is worth noting that AI-based systems for diabetic retinopathy detection are still in the research phase, and more research is needed to evaluate their accuracy and effectiveness in real-world settings. © 2023 IEEE.

The advancement of modern society is always followed by environmental pollution, and the haze phenomenon is becoming more common, having a significant impact on our lives. Haze is a typical atmospheric phenomena caused by small floating particles in the air such as dust and smoke. These floating particles absorb and scatter light significantly, lowering the quality of acquired photos. Many practical applications, such as video surveillance, remote sensing, and autonomous driving, are jeopardized by haze, and advanced computer vision tasks, such as detection and recognition, are difficult to complete. As a result, image defogging has become an increasingly relevant technique with great research value while also being a tough topic. In this paper, we take this as a starting point and design the TBNet: Three branch network with subspace projection as an introduction point to implement image defogging, and achieve satisfactory results on the Fog-Cityscpace dataset. © 2023 IEEE.

Agriculture is a vital industry for economic growth, but inefficient irrigation techniques can waste a lot of water. Artificial intelligence (AI) technology integration in irrigation systems has been suggested as a viable remedy to this problem. This study describes a system that automates irrigation and only waters crops when necessary depending on climate and soil moisture conditions. The system incorporates data on soil moisture, AI, and the Internet of Things (IoT). During testing in a controlled environment, this integrated strategy demonstrated promising results with an accuracy rate of 80%. However, it is crucial to take into account how readily available and inexpensive such technologies are for all farmers, especially those in underdeveloped nations where the agricultural industry is dominated by informal labor. AI technology integration in irrigation systems can increase agricultural output and efficiency while lowering water waste. To make sure that such technologies are available and advantageous for all farmers, it is vital to take into account the socioeconomic environment and potential adoption barriers. The feasibility and scalability of deploying such systems on a bigger scale could be the subject of future research. © 2023 IEEE.

Speech comprehension in service robotics serves as a cornerstone functionality for various applications centered around human-robot interaction. Despite advancements in techniques and services for speech recognition and natural language comprehension in recent years, dedicated implementation and validation of these techniques on household service robots, particularly in the Vietnamese language domain, have been lacking. This paper elucidates the execution and outcomes of a practical benchmark, named the Vietnamese robotic Speech Command Dataset (VRSCD). The VRSCD is designed for evaluating speech comprehension in service robotics. It also allows for the comparison of the performance of many popular large language models (LLMs), tailored specifically for the Vietnamese language context, to better serve the Vietnamese robotics industry. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2025.

Path Planning Method and System for Quadruped robot Based on Improved A ∗ Algorithm In recent years, with the development of unmanned intelligent equipment technology, different types of robots have emerged in life, with different functions and forms, such as search robots in hazardous environments, industrial robots operating on assembly lines, and so on. Path planning is a key aspect of robotics, and it becomes more challenging when it comes to quadruped robots. The path planning method and system for quadruped robots based on the improved A ∗ algorithm is an innovative solution developed to address this challenge. The improved A ∗ algorithm is a heuristic search algorithm that uses a combination of heuristic and cost functions to find the optimal path from the starting point to the target point. Considering the unique motion ability of quadruped robots, the algorithm has been modified to meet their needs. The path planning system for a quadruped robot based on this algorithm considers various factors such as terrain, obstacles, and robot kinematics. It also considers the gait pattern of the robot and ensures that the planned path is feasible for the robot's motion. This method and system has been proven to be effective in the real world, enabling quadruped robots to navigate easily in complex environments. It is of great significance for applications such as search and rescue missions, exploration missions, and military operations. © 2023 IEEE.

Accurate stress detection is essential in neuroscience and healthcare since human stress levels have a substantial impact on general well-being. Although EEG-based stress detection is a popular non-invasive method, real-time applications are limited by the high processing costs of classic feature extraction techniques. This work removes the requirement for intricate feature extraction by presenting an efficient EEGNet framework for real-time stress prediction utilizing raw EEG signals. The suggested approach improves accuracy and efficiency by utilizing Z-score normalization and adjusting batch size. Compared to traditional CNNs, the lightweight EEGNet architecture's depth-wise and separable convolutions ensure computational efficiency by reducing trainable parameters by a factor of ten. The proposed method outperformed current EEGNet-based techniques in stress identification by 5% to 18%. Furthermore, the improved system efficiently handles raw EEG signals, which is suitable for real-time, resource-constrained scenarios. The results shows the effectiveness of model-centric optimization in deep learning and open the door to the creation of more effective stress detection techniques. This work provides a workable solution for real-time non-invasive stress monitoring, highlighting the significance of lightweight frameworks customized for particular applications. © 2025 IEEE.

applications in the automated microscopy require careful calibration of the microscope system. In one such scenario where automated microscope is made to work with auto slide scanner, accurate measurement of the calibration parameters becomes an essential procedure. Here, we propose an automated method for finding the calibration parameters of a microscope based auto slide scanner. Microscopic images of a grid micrometer slide are analyzed for finding calibration parameters. Apart from the automated microscope and auto slide scanner, the procedure requires a digital camera and a grid micrometer slide. This calibration finding embraces the following parameters of camera and slide scanner: (a) measuring the pixel size in micrometers, (b) measuring the camera orientation and (c) measuring the linearity and uniformity of the slide scanner. The proposed method is accurate, reproducible and scalable enough to be suitable for applications requiring in-situ calibration. © 2023 IEEE.

In this digital world, the fusion of Artificial intelligence (AI) and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) opens new avenues for enhancing user experiences through personalization. This research centers on the realm of facial shape analysis and its applications in providing tailored accessory recommendations, harnessing AI techniques such as Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to offer customized suggestions. The primary objective is to create an intelligent system adept at recognizing facial shapes and delivering accessory recommendations that harmonize seamlessly with an individual's unique facial characteristics. To accomplish this, advanced Artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms specialized in facial shape recognition and analysis have been utilized. These algorithms include K-Means, DBSCAN, and Agglomerative Clustering, each playing a crucial role in the process. The system's recommendations are founded on a comprehensive analysis that combines both quantitative data and qualitative insights. The findings underscore the effectiveness of AI-driven facial shape analysis in personalizing accessory recommendations. This study highlights AI's capacity to elevate user experiences and showcases the intersection of technology and fashion within HCI. As a contribution to the evolving field of AI and HCI, this research emphasizes the importance of user centered solutions. Moreover, the results act as a foundational pillar for future research in personalized recommendations and user interfaces, effectively bridging the gap between AI advancements and human-centric design. © 2023 IEEE.
