Most of all the real world engineering applications are connected with differential equations, which has become complex to compute analytically. Paper discusses the efficient way of computing such partial differential equations (PDE) by means of numerical methods. Comparatively with various emerging numerical methods, finite element method (FEM) makes the task of computation achievable with accurate results irrespective of its drawbacks like computational cost and time complexity. Artificial neural networks (ANN) are the one's combined with FEM to make the work more feasible in solving irregular boundaries and to achieve appropriate results. Write up describes the complete importance of FEM based ANN for solving boundary value problems and shows us a glance of solving a PDE and also explains the computation of inverse problems that are considered to be ill-posed for the coefficient approximation. Finally the paper deals with the applications of FEM based ANN techniques in robotics. Essay explains the importance of these methods in developing kinetic and dynamic models in designing a soft robot for its movement and operation as well as its importance and uses in the practical scenario compared to rigid robots. Finally paper presents the stress and strain analysis of the generated CAD model of a robotic hand in FEM softwares like COMSOL and ANSYS. © 2023 IEEE.

Path planning and obstacle avoidance play a key role in how well autonomous mobile robots work and stay safe when they move through tricky areas. Traditional path-planning methods often can't keep up when new obstacles pop up or existing ones change, which makes them less useful in the real world. To fix these problems, the proposed research work brings in a new IoT-powered path planning and obstacle avoidance system that uses the D∗ Lite and Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) algorithms. Our approach brings together D∗ Lite's quick replanning skills with DRL's ability to learn and adapt made even better by live data from IoT sensors. We've put our model through its paces in different simulated environments set up to be as tricky as real-world navigation. Quantitative analysis shows it's a big step up from older models. Adding IoT data leads to a 30% boost in how paths are planned and cut the time robots need to get through complex routes by 20%. Plus, using DRL helps robots deal with moving obstacles 25% better, which means fewer potential crashes. This is a big step forward in the field of autonomous robotics. It gives a robust answer that would not just be reactive to the given environmental inputs but also, through proactivity, prompt possible obstacles, further contributing to smoother and safer output. As we move along with the development of our methodology, we foresee broad applications in many sectors enhancing the autonomy and efficiency of robotic systems working in dynamic and unpredictable environments. © 2024 IEEE.

This project deals with building a robot which is capable of surveillance and fault detection on areas where direct human intervention is not viable. Here the robot captures the real time image which is further stored for processing. This can be used for detecting any defect and can be accessed for future reference. The chassis designing and analyzing was done with the help of 3-D modeling software. Design and Simulation of the electrical circuits ware also performed using Ki Cad and tinker cad. The real time communication was established using VNC software and Bluetooth module. © 2022 IEEE.

While Generative Artificial intelligence (GenAI) has made significant strides in various sectors, there's a discernible gap in literature regarding its specific applications and implications within the Financial technology (FinTech) landscape. This paper endeavors to address this void, evaluating the potential of FinTech to harness GenAI's capabilities and the existing discussions on GenAI's impact in the domain. Through a comprehensive analysis of its integration by leading financial institutions such as Bloomberg, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, and Capital One, the study offers insights into GenAI's transformative potential in FinTech. We discuss the main problems these companies are solving, from identification and mitigation of fraudulent activities and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks to improving customer service and operations and making better data-driven decisions. By addressing both the opportunities and challenges, this paper aims to provide a holistic perspective on the role of GenAI in the evolving FinTech sector. © 2023 ACM.

Traditional CNN has problems with significant parameters and is difficult to deploy in a resource-constrained portable spectrometer for radionuclide identification. We propose a lightweight neural network model based on GhostNet to address these problems. First, the Ghost-CS module is built by adding the channel mixing operation in the Ghost module to enhance the information exchange between different channels;Secondly, using the ECA module reduces the noise information in the spectrum. The results showed that the algorithm maintains a high recognition accuracy while the number of model parameters is greatly reduced, making it easier to implement in portable spectrometers. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The memristor is an emerging nanodevice that has recently attracted significant attention from researchers. It combines resistive and memory properties, offering vast potential in nanoelectronics and memory design. A key feature of memristors is their ability to change resistance under voltage control and retain this resistance even after the voltage is removed. Additionally, their small size enables the creation of ultra-compact memory systems. Recognized as the fourth passive circuit element, the memristor offers several advantages, including variable resistance, flexibility, zero leakage current, and compatibility with CMOS technology. In this paper, adder circuits (Half Adder and Full Adder) using both memristors and CMOS within the MRL (Memristor Ratioed Logic) family, utilizing the VTEAM (Voltage Threshold Adaptive Memristor) model has been designed focusing on performance. These circuits are applicable to various logic computing architectures. CMOS transistors are implemented using GPDK 180 nm technology, and parameters such as delay, and power consumption are analyzed. The results show that Memristor based adders can dramatically increase the performance of existing arithmetic circuits empowering the high performance computing arena. © 2024 IEEE.

The rapid evolution of nanoscale technologies presents a challenge for electronic devices to sustain in harsh environments like hostile environments, radiation pollution, etc. Junctionless Field Effect Transistor (JLFET) is one of the kinds of emerging electronic devices that have applications in high switching devices and low-power electronics. The aim of this paper is to study the effect of gamma rays photonic radiation on the performance of JLFET. In this paper, regular SOI based JLFET and high-K oxide layer based JLFET (HL JLFET) have been considered. Further, we have done a 2-D simulation of both devices and observed the photonic irradiation using Sentaurus device simulator. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a variation in electrical characteristics of JLFET with high-K oxide layer that leads to lower off-stage leakage current and the effect of photonic radiation leads to an increase in drain current as there is an increase in dose rate of HL JLFET. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2025.

Aiming to address the limitation of roadside monocular cameras in vehicle-road cooperative applications, which cannot directly capture the spatial morphology of pedestrians, we propose a pedestrian 3D detection algorithm based on the monocular roadside view, named Pedestrian3DKeypointNet. First, we construct a 2D-3D mapping matrix of the scene using an automatic traffic scene calibration algorithm. Then, we convert the known pedestrian 2D labeling information into 3D cylindrical labeling information to establish a 3D dataset for pedestrian detection. Second, we further extract features using an enhanced backbone feature extraction network and a global upper part module to obtain richer shallow and deep features. Finally, we introduce a new loss function to improve the convergence of training and enhance detection accuracy. Experimental results demonstrate that our improved pedestrian 3D detection algorithm increases detection accuracy by 7.66% compared to existing networks. It also achieves higher detection accuracy and speed compared to most current 3D target detection algorithms and effectively extracts the spatial morphology information of pedestrians in practical applications.
