According to the operational principle and functional requirements of testing platform for CBTC system, this paper focuses on the research and design of vehicle simulation subsystem of this testing platform. First of all, through the analysis of the functions of the CBTC testing platform, the design scheme of the vehicle simulation subsystem is completed. Then, under the PowerPC hardware platform and software platform based on embedded Linux operating system, the hardware design of the unit adapter and the development process of BSP driver between the vehicle subsystem and the CBTC testing platform are introduced in detail. Finally, the vehicle simulation subsystem is realized by establishing the vehicle dynamic model and developing the master computer. The subsystem is connected to the CBTC testing platform, and multiple actual line data and different EMU data are used for testing, which verifies the feasibility and versatility of the system. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

Aiming at the problems of poor safety and high labor intensity existing in manual living operation, an electric peeling tool suitable for robot was developed in this paper. The overall structure, control system and cable skin removal part of the tool were introduced. Based on these, 200 times peeling test of the tool were carried out, and no failure occurred. Finally, field application was conducted for the tool with the matching robot. The results showed that the tool was highly intelligent and there was no peeling failure exist. which indicating that the tool can meet the requirements of high-voltage live working for robot. The tool provided a new operation method for promoting the automation and intelligent inspection of live working. © 2020 ACM.

This paper aims to presents the result of energy savings in the SLS (Street Light System) of Tirana by using a RCMS (Remote control and Management System) and high efficiency LED lamps. The findings for energy savings use results of RCMS applied on 25% of outdoor lighting network in Tirana and results of study for overall replacement of existing old technology luminaries with LED's ones. The paper give technical assessment to RCMS that acts on voltage stabilization, luminous flux regulation, uses power reducing equipment for existing traditional technology lamps, and calculate energy savings when RCMS is combined with LED's luminaries. Three different scenarios are analyzed: LED adaption only, RCMS installation for all SLS in Tirana and the combination of both first scenarios. The results has been satisfactory, achieving an saving of about 53.3% for the third scenario with combination of LEDs with RCMS. Based on implementation-running costs and saving results, the RCMS is cost-effective and with a very short payback time of around 2-3 years. It contributes also in the reduction of CO2 emissions. © 2020 IEEE.

One of the key tendencies of ICS networks is the integration of technologies of a controlling system. In order to maintain the high quality of control it is necessary to guarantee the joint action of all the ICS subsystems. Quality of service technologies allow solving this problem by adjusting the policy of maintenance of the networking equipment traffic. Data of network simulation, which is conducted using some mathematical tool, can become the basis for selection of adjustments. Here it is suggested to use an extension constructed on the basis of colored, fuzzy, timed, hierarchical, and priority Petri nets, as such a tool. The article provides a formal description of the developed mathematical tool of the modified fuzzy Petri nets. It shows the advantages when modeling network devices. © 2020 ACM.

We have proposed an analytic compact model describing the drain current characteristics valid in all operating regions, for ultra-short channel cylindrical gate-all-around metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors considering source-to-drain tunnelling effect. The drain-induced barrier lowering had been incorporated from one two-dimensional analysis in our previous compact model. In this study, to represent the energy level profile along the device channel direction into the Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin approximation by substituting a parabolic function, we can analytically derive the expressions of the transmission coefficients for source-to-drain tunneling. In the subthreshold region, the source-to-drain tunneling current then can be evaluated using the Landauer formula. Finally, a fully analytic compact model is proposed for representing the drain current in all operating regions. The results compared with non-equilibrium Green's function transport simulations can be obtained in a good agreement. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The creation of appropriate adaptive control loop for interconnection of the different levels of municipality' distributed service supply systems, including the legacy systems, is a new challenge for designers of automated control tools due to incompatibility of systems that apply a number of appropriate technical solutions and protocols that assures collaboration between automation devices such as sensors, actuators, and controllers. This paper enhances the Arrowhead Framework with support of such workflows, which promote systems within a System-of-System (SoS) to work towards its predefined goal, taking into account the dynamically changing environment, system capabilities, and use case needs. This paper offers to enhance one of the Arrowhead core systems, namely Event Handler System (EHS), which provides among others orchestration services. We describe its main services and operations, implemented by data-driven implementation way, based on dynamic workflow execution, and by employing Node-RED programming tool. Furthermore, we demonstrated implementation of EHS workflow Internet of Things (IoT) architecture for small and distributed automation systems, namely, for municipality' systems and adaptive biological systems, like beekeeping processes automation. © 2020 ACM.

In Industrial automation, the use of HMI for the monitoring of process nowadays has increased with the increment in competition. But due to the high cost, some industries cannot afford it. So to make it affordable development of HMI using Visual *** has been introduced. Traditional HMI provides many functionalities, but at a higher cost. But with Visual Basic. NET we can afford the same task in manner. The designed view of VB based HMI is in proportion with a view of the automation process in real time, saves troubleshooting time of faults and helps in safety purpose. Image processing is to transform the image into digital matrix by mathematical formula, then store the data in the computer, and enhance the source bitmap by computer, including gray-scale processing, median filtering and binarization. Then the image is cut, including contour edge processing, seed filling and so on. In this paper, the image is recognized and processed based on pattern recognition, and then a pre classifier is designed to build a system model of fruit intelligent classification. After the fruit is taken by industrial camera, the corresponding image processing and feature value extraction are carried out. Then the extracted eigenvalues are used for classification. Through this method to achieve a variety of fruit classification effect. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The development of wireless intercom APP based on PSO-BP neural network algorithm mainly adopts Android studio 3.0 software, in which PSO-BP neural network algorithm is used to realize the speech recognition of railway standard term of trainers in the railway train operation training system. The APP mainly realizes the information management of trainers, the speech recognition of the railway standard term during the training process, and the collection and transmission of the state of the switch in different stations. With the increasingly mature development of China's deep-space nuclear power technology, it is necessary to formulate a special nuclear reactor ground test application system. In response to the requirements of comprehensive functional testing of space nuclear reactor systems, a design method for a space reactor simulation experiment test system is proposed, designed and implemented a special comprehensive experimental test system suitable for the automatic control system of the space reactor is developed. The space reactor simulation experiment system has been verified by several comprehensive joint test experiments. It has a high degree of automation, simple operation, user-friendly interface, and easy maintenance. The implement of this system provides a reference for China's future space nuclear reactor system ground test application and experimental verification research. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
