In the diagnosis identification of rolling bearing, it is difficult to extract the fault feature and the parameter optimization algorithm of support vector machine (SVM) generally has the problem of slow convergence speed and easy to fall into local optimal solution. Therefore, this paper proposes a method based on ensemble empirical mode decomposition (EEMD) and optimized SVM for the fault diagnosis of rolling bearings. First, EEMD method is used to decompose the rolling bearing signal into several IMF components, and the energy of the components that can reflect the main features of the signal is selected as the feature vector. Then, surface-simplex swarm evolution algorithm is used to optimize the structural parameters of the SVM. Finally, the feature vector set is input into the optimized SVM for the fault diagnosis of the rolling bearing. Experiments show that the method can converge to the optimal solution more quickly and realize the signal diagnosis more accurately. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

In this paper, a distributed cooperative control strategy for islanded microgrids (MGs) is proposed, to minimize the total generation cost of distributed generators (DGs), and maintain the state of charge (SoC) balancing of battery energy storage systems (BESSs). First, a consensus-based economic dispatch (ED) strategy is proposed, to achieve the minimum total generation cost of DGs, while the aggregated power output of DGs meets the power dispatch command from the supervisory control system. Further, an SoC-based droop control strategy is developed for BESSs, to maintain the SoC balancing and power balance in the islanded MG simultaneously. Compared with the centralized control schemes, the proposed cooperative control strategy is fully distributed such that it simply requires local information exchange without the necessity of a central controller. More importantly, the proposed cooperative control strategy is able to achieve multiple control objectives in a unified framework. Finally, the simulation results in an islanded MG with renewable energy and time-varying load demands are presented, to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed distributed cooperative control strategy. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Trajectory data mining has become a hot research area. The moving speed of an object is key to the accuracy of trajectory data, but it is hard to describe its variability. Although some speeds were extensively used in traditional algorithms, a large error may occur. To overcome this problem in this paper, a window adaptation speed (WAdapS, in short) based on sliding window was designed, which has a better inclusiveness. Based on WAdapS, a new group drift filtering algorithm (WGDFA) was proposed to tackle drifting points in group manner. Extensive experiments showed that the proposed algorithm has a good filtering effect, and when the window size is set to be 4, the trajectories of objects can be restored more precisely. The idea of distance constraint is used to constrain the track point. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

Apriori algorithm is the most commonly used algorithm for mining frequent closed itemsets, which core idea is to generate frequent itemsets by computing support and pruning operations. However, the traditional Apriori algorithm has many shortcomings, an Apriori algorithm based on matrix compression is proposed, and the method of association and design of various technical actions in basketball matches is introduced. First, the transaction database is converted to Boolean matrix, which reduces the number of scans times and improves the time running efficiency of the algorithm. In addition, in order to improve space efficiency, the operation of deleting infrequent itemsets is added, and the generation of candidate sets is greatly reduced. Instance analysis and experimental results show that the improved algorithm has better performance than the existing algorithm, and can effectively improve the algorithm execution efficiency. And it can be effectively used to mine the potential relationship of basketball game technical movements, which is of great importance to the research of basketball game technical movements. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.

In order to meet the increasing demand for industrial cyber physical systems, highly qualified professionals are required who possess both excellent professional knowledge and skills as well as soft skills. The interdisciplinarity of industrial cyber physical systems makes teaching the necessary skill challenging. The approach known from the education of software engineering, in which students form a team to develop a software product, is not sufficient. There is also a lack of soft skills, which are often seen as key success factors for engineering projects. To close the existing gaps in education of industrial cyber-physical systems engineering, the task-centric holistic agile teaching approach (T-CHAT) is proposed. This approach will be implemented in a newly developed curriculum for industrial cyber physical systems at the ITMO University St. Petersburg, Russia. It focuses on teaching of both technical and soft skills. © 2020 IEEE.

Crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE) cable is one of the most important tools to transmit electric energy and electrical signals, but its insulation material is vulnerable to damage due to the complex working environment. If the aging cable is not replaced in time, it will easily cause fire and threaten the safety of life and property. Life prediction of cables is essential to ensure reliable operation. Hence, the objective of this study is to provide a theoretical basis for cable replacement. This paper, firstly, focuses on the thermal aging mechanism of cable. Based on Arrhenius Model, multivariate nonlinear regression method was used to process the data and the thermal aging life prediction model of cable had been derived. From the real operation perspective, the reliability of the model was analyzed. 50% of retention of elongation at break was measured as an indicator of the failure point, the life evaluations of cable was carried out. The result indicates that the service life of cable at 90 °C is 32.2 a. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The paper presents a novel method and conceptual architecture for implementation of fuzzy-classification expert system in the domain of rehabilitation methods for cerebral palsy. The expert system includes two blocks: Fuzzy block utilizing fuzzy algorithms for multi-criteria decision making and Machine learning block based on algorithms for tree classification and KMeans clustering. In this paper, the effect of temperature rise of MOSFET on output performance of synchronous dc converter is studied. Firstly, the power loss calculation method and thermal resistance equivalent circuit of switching devices are analyzed, and mathematical modeling is carried out for the conduction mode and change rule of junction temperature, housing temperature and radiator temperature of switching devices, and the MOSFET temperature rise model is built in Matlab environment, and the temperature rise curves of different parts of MOSFET switching devices are obtained. By means of the model, the effect of temperature rise on the output and control signal of the synchronous DC converter is studied. The simulation results show that the effect of temperature rise on the switching device will increase the internal resistance of the switching device, decrease the gate opening voltage and reduce the output voltage. In the real circuit design, it is necessary to leave a margin for the above parameters to ensure an ideal output. © 2020 Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The traditional SSD algorithm has a serious abstraction of feature extraction content, which makes it difficult to achieve effective detection of small targets. At the same time, the problem of feature layer fusion is difficult due to different scales. In this paper, an improved SSD based target detection algorithm is proposed. By introducing feature enhancement method, the adjustment steps of high-level feature size are omitted, Which makes it unnecessary to reduce the dimension of features, and at the same time, it uses the multi-scale candidate area which accords with the proportion of pedestrians in the detection network to enhance the feature extraction ability of small targets, effectively improves the accuracy and operation speed of SSD algorithm, and saves the loss of the network. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

This paper verifies the method of multi-sensor data fusion in the field of smart home. A multi-source sensor data fusion model based on fire detection is proposed, and the methods of fusion calculation and decision analysis are mainly studied. Nowadays, the traditional single sensor is replaced by a multi-source sensor especially in fire detection (Wang in Comp Intell Syst 1(1–4):1–22 [1]), and three main detector (CO, smoke, and temperature) are significantly changed when the fire occurs, and the data fusion algorithm is used to calculate the result, thereby improving the system accuracy and reducing the false alarm rate by using the self-learning and self-adaptive ability of BP neural network on the feature layer. Then, the result is transmitted into the decision-making layer, and the fuzzy logic inference algorithm is used to make the final decision and judgment. Simulation experiments show that the fusion system can meet the data collection, processing, fusion, and analysis of fire detection scenarios in smart home security, can effectively identify the accurate fire situation, and can respond quickly. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2020.
