In the context of engineering education, to improve the practical engineering skills of engineering students, the teaching ideas and implementation methods of the curriculum are designed based on Outcome-based Education. A blended teaching approach was used to design the implementation process to achieve the curriculum objectives. In this paper, we explain the process of blended teaching from the two aspects of basic knowledge and competency training. Active learning of basic knowledge is implemented based on a three-step blended teaching model before, after, and during classes. It adopts the project-driven learning approach of the flipped classroom model and cultivates students' ability to solve complex engineering problems through collaborative group and intra-group mutual assessment. Based on the original objective assessment of the curriculum and under the current teaching model, we design a diversified evaluation approach to comprehensively assess the effectiveness of student competence achievement. Practice has shown that project-based inquiry-based teaching methods based on the flipped classroom model can promote learning outcomes for students and increase their interest in learning. It avoids the blind and aimless theoretical learning process of the student and improves the practical ability of the student. The methods and means of instruction of teachers have been further extended, and the ability of students to learn independently has been improved. © 2023 IEEE.

In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the imperative for advanced technological solutions to combat the spread of infections has never been more pressing. This article delves into the development of an exceptionally efficient autonomous disinfectant robot, surpassing human capabilities in sanitizing rooms and maintaining infection control. Leveraging state-of-the-art ultrasonic sensors strategically positioned on three sides, this robot employs cutting-edge technology to measure wall distances and navigate accordingly. Going beyond conventional liquid spray nozzles, the introduction of a fog spray system represents a significant advancement, ensuring widespread coverage and meticulous sanitization of every corner. This article explores in detail the intricate components and functionalities of this autonomous disinfectant robot, shedding light on its dual motor operation, integrated circuit control, single-board microcontroller operation, and the specially designed navigation algorithm tailored for interior settings. This paper presents a ventilator that is characterized by simple construction and operation, as well as accurate execution of tasks due to the control system based on the Arduino board and servo motor. The device presented in this research is composed of two main parts: the mechanical part, represented by pliers, which are two opposite plates that can be moved at a specific angle and speed with the assistance of a servo motor connected to these two pliers by two iron rods, and the electronic part, which serves as the base for the ventilator described in this paper. The electronic component consists of a keypad, an Arduino board, and a servo motor. a display screen that shows the user-entered settings is also included. The main goal of this paper is to accurately adjust the amount of oxygen flowing to the patient through the ability of this device to determine the angle of the motor, and the number of breathing times that can be adjusted by adjusting the speed of the engine. A model of the proposed ventilator has been implemented and successfully tested in terms of modifying the motor angle and how rapidly the bag is pressed (motor speed). wherever the control system's settings have all been accurately and completely applied. In comparison to other devices proposed in numerous studies, this device is characterized by the simplicity of its design, the affordability of its parts, as well as its light weight, which makes it easier to carry and move from one place to another. It is also distinguished by its accuracy in controlling the amount of oxygen required as well as the number of breathing cycles per minute. © 2023 IEEE.

With the rapid development of computer networks, people's use of the Internet has become more and more common, and network security issues are becoming increasingly serious. Compared with intrusion detection, the development of intrusion response is slightly lagging behind. There are many devices for intrusion detection, alarm information is difficult to analyze and there are false alarms and isolated alarms, and many detection strategies require manual operation, which greatly increases the time cost and labor cost of intrusion response. In this paper, we propose an intrusion response method based on Bayesian attack graph, which effectively uses the alarm information and adopts the attack behavior prediction algorithm of Bayesian attack graph to block the attack path of network attacks for the uncertainty of attack events and enhance system security. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper proposes an accurate modeling method for CHP plant by combining the digital twin(DT) and Transformer. Firstly, the actual operating data of the CHP plant is real-time affined to the simulation platform through DT. As Transformer has the advantages of strong robustness, parallel computing and wide applicability. It is used to establish the accurate model of supercritical CHP plant The innovation of this modeling method lies in the successfully combination of DT and Transformer, which has important reference value for promoting the flexible operation capacity of CHP plant. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed model method is confirmed through the simulations on a 350 MW CHP plant. © 2023 IEEE.

At present, the network security of embedded devices has received more and more attention. However, the existing dynamic analysis tools can't performance in embedded devices as common softwares. The main reason is that the internal state information of the embedded device can not be directly obtained, and the debugging interface usually shields the device after the manufacturer produces it. Thus, this paper introduces rehosting techniques for embedded systems and the differences between each way. Then we talk about the Deficiencies and future works in emulate execution. © 2023 IEEE.

Impact of frequency control from wind turbine generator linked to HVDC system on sub-synchronous oscillation

With global trends of carbon neutrality, offshore wind energy is considered as the most promising resource. However, as large-scale renewable energy resources replace the existing synchronous generators (SG), concerns about the system stability are growing. Owing to the absence of system supports provided by the SG. Therefore, operators require the wind generators to participate in frequency control. In addition, controls have been devised to perform frequency support even when large-scale offshore wind farm (OWF) linked to High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC). However, this frequency support control's impacts on the overall system stability are not investigated in deeply yet. Therefore, in this study, the impacts of frequency control from OWF-linked HVDC system using communication-less scheme on the system instability were investigated using small-signal stability analysis. Its results revealed that this frequency support control caused instability. Modal analysis and simulations support these interpretations and improve the understanding its mechanism and dynamics. A regular sampling method based on the immediate mode for improving the stability of inverters

The shadow mode-based regular sampling methods are usually used in the digital control of power inverters, which introduce a control delay of one and a half sampling periods. The control delay affects the closed loop bandwidth and the stability of dc-ac inverters. Recently, regular sampling methods based on the immediate mode is emerging and helpful for reducing the digital control delay. When employing the immediate mode, the induced vertical crossings may arouse the duty-cycle loss and dead-band effect during the modulation process, which deteriorate the normal operation of the inverters. Although the duty-cycle loss can be avoided by forcing the PWM signal to flip at the occurrence of vertical crossings, the introduced dead bands still exist. Thus, this paper investigates the phenomenon of vertical crossings and proposes a control algorithm composed of predicting the occurrence of vertical crossings and compensating the dead-band effect for regular sampling methods based on the immediate mode. Finally, experimental results on a single-phase dc-ac inverter prototype are provided to compare the efficacy of different approaches.(c) 2023 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Ltd. To solve the problem of 'first low and then high' voltage caused by commutation failure of high-proportion photovoltaic (PV) HVDC transmission system, a voltage fluctuation suppression strategy based on reactive power coordination was proposed. In this paper, the mechanism of voltage fluctuation caused by commutation failure is analyzed, and the reactive power-voltage coupling relationship at the Point of Common Coupling (PCC) on the AC side of the rectifier is calculated. Based on this relationship, the reactive power coordination suppression strategy of PV station and converter station is proposed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed commutation failure voltage fluctuation suppression strategy is verified by an example of high-proportion photovoltaic DC transmission via Yindong HVDC project in PSCAD/EMTDC. The simulation results show that the proposed strategy has a good inhibition effect on the voltage fluctuation of AC bus and PV junction caused by commutation failure. © 2023 IEEE.

In the current situation of COVID-19 prevention and control, wearing masks remains an important way to prevent the transmission of the Novel Coronavirus. Aiming at the problem that the detection accuracy of the traditional YOLOv3 algorithm can still be improved, this paper proposes an improved yolov3 algorithm and applies it to the practical problem of detecting whether to wear a mask. Firstly, the algorithm introduces the residual structure of structural reparameterization in the feature extraction network named Darknet53 of YOLOv3 to obtain the input features;Secondly, the SimSPPF (Simplified Spatial Pyramid Pooling-Fast) is introduced to enhance feature extraction;Finally, an improved attention mechanism is introduced to make the model focus on regions with more prominent features. Besides, in order to ensure the accuracy of target detection, CIoU and Focal loss function was used in the training process. The results show that compared with the traditional YOLOv3, the detection accuracy of the improved algorithm for normal face and mask face is improved by 16.98% and 7.30% respectively, and the mAP is improved by 12.14%, which can meet the requirements of daily use and lay a foundation for rapid face recognition when wearing mask.
