In recent years, with the development of industrial technology gradually mature, modern industry has carried on the thorough research to the measurement field, put forward higher requirements for accurate measurement and performance optimization in other directions. Therefore, the focus of this paper is to test the networking system based on laser diameter measurement to achieve accurate measurement of cable radius. The measured experimental data can show that the system can show high precision, high efficiency and real-time control for accurate diameter measurement. Through the development of the corresponding measurement data host computer display interface, verify its feasibility, thereby reducing the product development cycle, with strong practicability. © 2023 SPIE.

As the defense system of military powers is becoming more and more complete, improving the aircraft’s penetration capabilities is particularly critical. Formation control is an effective way to improve the ability of penetration. Based on an uncontrollable situation, this paper proposes an angle-based formation control strategy for multiple aircraft. The leader’s trajectory inclination angle and trajectory deflection angle are used as the states of consistency, and the tilt angle is used as the control volume, to design the PI controller of the follower. The parameter optimization design is performed through the particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm. The simulation results show that the proposed angle-based formation control method can be well achieved and maintain the formation. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

The permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSGs), especially those with multi-phase structure, are increasingly adopted to power large-scale vehicular system with DC distribution (e.g. more electric aircraft and electric-propulsion ship). The controller design is critical in these vehicular application as they are required to maintain desired transient performance under large system disturbances. In this paper, an improved adding a power integrator (AAPI) controller is designed and adopted to regulate the six-phase active rectifier, thus enhancing the transient performance of the system. The regulation of the multi-phase active rectifier feeding large amount of dynamic instantaneous constant power load (CPL) is firstly formulated as a second-order system by utilizing a bi-linear coordinate transformation. Then, an improved AAPI finite-time controller is designed considering both asymptotic stability and the transient stability of the system. The control problem for the USV model with uncertain parameters is addressed by employing the extended Kalman filter identification method. This approach facilitates the estimation of the corresponding model parameters, which are continuously corrected in real time through a recursive mode. Based on the modified model, a backstepping control strategy is designed to determine the optimal control rudder angle. With the inclusion of the correction component, the improved backstep heading controller exhibits better adaptability to model perturbations and interferences. Simulation results demonstrate that, in comparison to traditional PID control, the improved backstep heading controller achieves higher heading accuracy, shorter setting time, smaller overshoot amplitude, irrespective of environmental interferences. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

Photovoltaic, energy storage and charging pile integrated charging station is a high-Tech green charging mode that realizes coordinated support of photovoltaic, energy storage and intelligent charging. In this paper, a control model of each part of comprehensive charging station considering the benefits of users and charging stations is established. A heuristic algorithm is used to solve the benefits under the cooperative control strategy of comprehensive charging station, and a new collaborative control method is proposed. In addition, income sensitivity and other indicators are designed to quantitatively analyze the relationship between the total revenue, quantity and subsidies of electric vehicles under the coordinated control strategy of integrated charging station. Mechanical legs are important elements of robotic walking platforms. They give the platforms excellent ability to traverse irregular and uneven terrains. There has been a lot of development in robotics for locomotion and operational purposes in the last few decades. This work is an exploration based on the extensive literature survey of walking machines. A multitude of leg mechanisms was analyzed from patents and their topological structures have been investigated for the generation of novel mechanisms using creative design theory. An Atlas of 22 novel leg mechanisms has been generated. Also, a study of foot point coupler curves of biped human, quadruped mammal, reptiles and insect’s feet have been given here to find out the common aspect of walking mechanisms with generated coupler curves in this research work. The mechanically generated coupler curves are comparable with the animal foot trajectories. The DLTdv7 digitizing tool from MATLAB was used for the extraction of foot trajectories by video graphic analysis. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

Hierarchical control of hybrid energy storage system in shipboard gas turbine power system with multiple pulsed power loads

Transient power fluctuations may occur in shipboard DC microgrids when switching a pulsed power load (PPL). However, shipboard power systems (SPSs) are isolated power grids with relatively low inertia and capacity, making them unable to respond immediately to sudden changes in pulsed loads, thereby resulting in considerable disturbances and even instability of the system. To mitigate such disturbances effectively, it is recommended to introduce energy storage devices to SPSs. In order to better leverage the buffering characteristics of energy storage devices, this paper establishes a simulation model of the SPS, which includes a micro gas turbine generator, a hybrid energy storage system (HESS), multiple PPLs and an energy management system (EMS). The HESS comprises a battery and a flywheel. Furthermore, a hierarchical coordinated control strategy for HESS in shipboard DC microgrids under multiple pulsed load conditions is proposed, which includes both an upper-layer control and a lower-layer control. The upper layer makes logical judgments through voltage difference and selects the appropriate energy storage mode for power supply. The lower layer adopts a series fuzzy logic control. To validate the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy, two scenarios of transient power mutation and total power demand exceeding the rated power of the generator were simulated by connecting different PPLs to the DC bus at different times. The results indicate that the control strategy effectively realizes the coordinated operation of HESS and gas turbine, as well as power allocation between flywheel and battery within HESS. Moreover, it reduces the frequency of charging and discharging of battery, improves battery life, and prevents the generator from running beyond the rated power. (c) 2023 The Author(s). Abstract: Today, the traditional control algorithm of the manipulator is difficult to meet in the complex and changing working environment, and the development of artificial intelligence has achieved remarkable results in the field of manipulator control. As a branch of artificial intelligence, deep reinforcement learning combines the perception ability of deep learning with the decision-making ability of reinforcement learning, which can greatly improve the work efficiency and adaptability of the manipulator. This paper expounds on the principle of deep reinforcement learning, compares and analyzes the application examples of the single manipulator and multi-manipulator control algorithms based on deep reinforcement learning, and demonstrates the achievements of deep reinforcement learning in the motion control of manipulators. A Powell PSO optimized random forest fault diagnosis method for high-voltage circuit breakers is proposed, in order to improve the accuracy of the state identification of mechanical vibration signals of high-voltage circuit breakers. Firstly, the fault simulation model of high-voltage circuit breaker is built on MATLAB, and the closing process is simulated to collect vibration signals;Then the mechanical vibration signal of the circuit breaker is denoised by wavelet transform, and the eigenvalues are extracted;Secondly, Powell PSO fusion algorithm is constructed to optimize the random forest algorithm;Finally, the eigenvectors are input into the optimized random forest, and the classifier of Powell PSO optimized random forest algorithm is constructed, which finally realizes the high-precision identification of the mechanical fault state of high-voltage circuit breakers. The experimental results show that the new fault diagnosis method has high overall recognition rate and high application value. © 2023 IEEE.

This paper presents the modelling of a fourth-order dc-dc converter, introduces a simple systematic approach to calculate the resolvent matrix in order to obtain the small signal transfer function of the dc-dc converter and the implementation of a PI controller to synchronize its output voltage with input voltage and load disturbances. A SEPIC (Single Ended Primary Inductance Converter) dc-dc converter with uncoupled inductors rated 100- Watt power has been designed specifically for battery charging applications. In certain applications, a SEPIC converter is used where the input voltage can be either higher or lower than the required output voltage. A SEPIC consists of two inductors and two capacitors for this reason, its mathematical model is of the fourth-order differential equations. The dynamic model of the converter is obtained through the State Space Averaging (SSA) technique in the presence of non-idealities specially source resistance which has been overlooked by researchers. Leverrier's Algorithm-based approach is applied here to calculate the resolvent matrix. The tuning of the PI controller parameter is done using the Ziegler-Nichols method. At last, the derived dynamic model and calculated PI controller parameters are verified through MATLAB Simulation. © 2023 IEEE.
