The numerical simulation method is used to mimic the outflow field of 30 ° Ahmed model. The accuracy of the simulation method is verified by comparing with the wind tunnel test results. Based on the aerodynamic characteristics of the wind tunnel model, the impact of Ahmed on the structure is explored by combining the numerical simulation method of Ahmed model. The results show that the fold structure has more significant effect on lift and less effect on aerodynamic resistance. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The conventional decision tree detection matrix of distribution network line overload fault is mostly unidirectional, and the detection range is small, which leads to the time-consuming extension of the final overload fault detection. Therefore, the design and verification analysis of the decision tree detection method of distribution network line overload fault under load disturbance are proposed. According to the current measurement, firstly, the overload fault feature is extracted. Under the load disturbance condition, the range of fault detection is expanded by multi-step method, and the multi-step overload fault detection matrix is designed. Based on this, the decision tree distribution network line overload fault detection model is constructed, and the fault detection processing is realized by adaptive cross overload locking. The test results show that for the six selected overload fault detection points, the final overload fault detection time is controlled 0.3s, which shows that with the help of decision tree principle, the currently designed overload fault detection method is more targeted and stable, and the fault identification and detection efficiency is higher, and the overall detection effect is obviously improved, and the error is controllable, which has practical application value. © 2023 IEEE.

Sodium-based heat transfer technology development in India for fast-breeder nuclear reactors utilizes liquid sodium metal as a coolant because it can remove heat efficiently. In the secondary loop of the Fast Breeder Tank Reactor, liquid sodium exchange heat from the nuclear reactor to water through the pipe arrangement to produce superheated steam for power generation. Sodium has a high boiling point of 882.8°C, low-melting-point of 97.7°C helps to operate the plant under low pressure of around 0.1 MPa. Sodium evolved as the solid state at ambient temperature and transferred to liquid state above 550°C. Metallic sodium has a high reactivity in chemical reactions with metallic flow pipe exposed to moisture or periodical environmental conditions. An important built-up material of liquid sodium was very effective heat exchanging capacity within a short period. Due to sodium's wonderful structural and chemical behavior, it forms the appropriate choice for heat exchanger or as coolant in the standard nuclear power plant fast breeder reactor (FBR). Fatigue Loop Testing Method is used to analyze the purity property of sodium to predict the corrosion of structural materials and blockage of flow routes in the secondary loop of the Fast Breeder Tank Reactor(FBTR) loop in the Nuclear power plant at Kalpakkam. The fatigue loop test requires an appropriate PID controller design to set the sodium flow control in pipes at an optimized temperature to maintain its liquid state for thermal transmission and the necessary pressure to apply through the electromagnetic pump to monitor sodium purity, system performance, accuracy and efficiency. Here, the optimum temperature for the operation of the Fast Breeder Tank Reactor (FBTR) tuned in the Fatigue loop is simulated using the PID Auto Tuning method. © 2023 IEEE.

In Robust control and Data Driven Robust control design methodologies, multiple plant transfer functions or a family of transfer functions are considered and a common controller is designed such that all the plants that fall into this family are stabilized. Though the plants are stabilized, the controller might be sub-optimal for each of the plants when the variations in the plants are large. This paper presents a way of clustering stable linear dynamical systems for design of robust controllers within each of the clusters such that the controllers are optimal for each of the clusters. First a k-medoids algorithm for hard clustering will be presented for stable Linear Time Invariant (LTI) systems and then a Gaussian Mixture Models (GMM) clustering for a special class of LTI systems, common for Hard Disk Drive plants, will be presented. Rail surface defects detection is a significant and challenging task to ensure the safety and efficiency of railway transportation. Due to the variety of shapes and sizes of rail surface defects, the existing methods based on a single-source data have low detection accuracy, high false alarm and high miss rate. In this paper, a fusion detection method is proposed based on one-dimensional (lD) vibration signals and two-dimensional (2D) images. Firstly, an Improved Sparse Auto Encoder (ISAE) is used to extract the features of vibration signals. Then Linear Discriminant Analysis-Support Vector Classifier (LDA-SVC) is utilized to diagnose rail surface defects by feature dimension reduction. At the same time, combined with YOLOv5, defects are located and detected based on 2D images. Finally, the results of the two models are fused at the decision-level. The experimental results show that the integration of multi-source information effectively improves the detection accuracy and provides maintenance guidance for the railway department. © 2023 IEEE.

Among many renewable energy systems for production of electricity, grid connected Photovoltaic (PV) systems are globally attracting many scholars to develop new technologies. Grid connected single stage PV systems is one of the famous configuration and especially established at many applications worldwide. Generally, H∞ control is used for many applications especially where AC systems. At the same time, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) method should be implemented on PV systems to enhance maximum energy in any condition. Among existed many MPPT techniques, perturb & observe (P&O) mechanism is an effective method. Unfortunately, partial shading conditions (PSCs) are frequently occurs in medium and large PV stations due to many reasons. Therefore, in order to identify the global maximum location (GML) of the several local maximum positions that are available under PCSs, an effective optimization mechanism must be connected with P&O workflow. Hence, a whale inspired mechanism is implemented along with P&O for obtain MPPT approach quickly under PSCs on PV system. Compared with general PI controllers, ANN controllers are performing better under sudden changes happen in the system. Hence, ANN controller based DC-link control method is implemented in this research work. An inverter must be incorporated between PV system and utility grid in a single stage model. This study work develops a hybrid control of H∞ and DC link control connected with MPPT technology. Hence no more DC-DC circuit required for working like a MPPT device. Results with the help of Hardware-in the-Loop (HIL) are included on OPAL-RT basis. © 2023 IEEE.

With the integration and development of industrialization and informatization, the network security risk of industrial control system is constantly upgrading. This paper analyzes the possible threats to the industrial control system and also analyze the shortcomings of existing solutions. According to the actual needs of the industrial control system, DCS Secure Communication scheme based on the National cipher algorithm is proposed, which can realize integrity detection, encrypted transmission of data between stations and other functions. The encryption and decryption runtime library and key management system are developed. The experimental results based on actual engineering project show that the security of real-Time data transmission is improved while ensuring the real-Time and stability of DCS. The article discusses intelligent ways to regulate room temperature. It is shown how the project architecture is built and the tools for its implementation are selected using intelligent algorithms, mainly fuzzy logic. Recommendations are given for the selection of software and hardware for implementing microclimate control systems. The hardware can be implemented using a NodeMCU board with a built-in ESP8266 module, and DS18B20 integrated temperature sensors connected to it. It is recommended to program the device in the Arduino IDE. The software part can also be implemented as a web service and a database connected to it. The web service is implemented using the Flask framework. The database is implemented in the MySQL environment. Nginx is selected as the web server for deploying the web service. The results of this work can be used in various rooms with installed heating, air conditioning and ventilation devices to maintain optimal microclimate conditions with minimal energy costs. © 2024 SPIE. The article proposes a dynamic event-triggered model predictive control (DET-MPC) method is proposed for DC-DC converters. The model prediction is executed once the trigger condition is met, and subsequently, the stability of the resulting closed-loop system is demonstrated. Firstly, it is shown that the dynamic event-triggered method can be more suitable in practical applications for DC-DC converters when compared with the traditional event-triggered method. In addition, the event trigger method is combined with model predictive control for the purpose of rolling optimization, and an event trigger condition(ETC) containing internal dynamic variables is designed. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method saves communication resources and reduces energy losses, thereby improving the conversion efficiency of the DC-DC converters. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

The integration of fuel cell technology with Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) drives holds immense potential for advancing electric vehicle technology. This work provides an overview on operation of 'Fuel Cell Fed PMSM Drive for Electric Vehicles' by highlighting its key aspects and implications. In this paper, an enhanced DC-DC boost converter that offers more gain than a standard boost converter for the same duty cycle is presented. Field-oriented control (FOC) strategy has been used to control speed and torque using SPWM Modulation technique further FOC Strategy will lead to enhanced motor performance, reduced settling time, and precise control of motor speed and position. Secondly, the FOC strategy enables high-efficiency operation by minimizing energy losses, especially in high-torque and low-speed regions. The future scope of fuel cell fed PMSM Drive for electric vehicles, outlining key areas of development and advancement. These areas include technological improvements in fuel cell systems, infrastructure development for hydrogen refueling stations, cost reduction measures, regulatory support and incentives, collaboration and partnerships among stakeholders, and market expansion. By addressing these aspects, fuel cell-fed PMSM Drive has the potential to revolutionize the automotive industry and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable future transportation. © 2023 IEEE.
