In this research ,we study the leader-follower consensus at free-will arbitrary time (FWAT) for second-order multi-agent systems (MASs) with a fixed nonlinear term. Firstly, due to the existence of inherent nonlinear terms in the system, the backstepping method is used to eliminate the nonlinear terms by designing a virtual controller. Secondly, design suitable control strategy that enable arbitrary convergence of follower states and velocities at a predetermined arbitrary time, and make sure the convergence time is not impacted by the system’s original conditions and characteristics. Finally, the existence of the theory is deduced by introducing the Lyapunov function. © Beijing HIWING Scientific and Technological Information Institute 2024.

The design of control equipment for the cold energy recovery and utilization of LNG ships is the focus of ship technology and a prerequisite for equipment manufacture. By analyzing the design background and design status of LNG ship cold energy recycling control equipment, the study forms design ideas and prepares equipment materials. It optimizes design methods and compares and evaluates them with traditional control equipment. After a series of evaluation tests, it is found that the LNG ship cold energy comprehensive utilization control equipment can effectively achieve the purpose of energy saving and emission reduction and solve the problems of high operating costs and environmental pollution of traditional LNG ships. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In order to optimize the control quality of the air supply system aiming at its multi-disturbance, based on the historical operation data of the boiler air supply control system of a 300 MW unit, this paper adopts a two-stage identification method based on asymptotic theory and establishes an accurate model and simulation system of the air supply system. Based on the model established by asymptotic identification, we design a constrained Model Predictive control with Kalman Filter state estimation and an Active Disturbance Rejection control based on extended state disturbance observation two optimization schemes. The simulation based on field data shows that both schemes can be considered to possess comparatively higher practicability in the optimization of the air supply control system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

In this paper, a new nonlinear robust adaptive decentralized excitation control for multi-machine power system is proposed based on a new recursive method for the parametric nonlinear system. This new excitation control strategy is decentralized and robust to the disturbance, since all the variables appearing in the expression of the control law and the adaptive law can be calculated. By the back-stepping control methods design, the first subsystem can be designed the control law, and the control law can be seen the input control of the second sub system. By the back-stepping design control law and the LMI calculation combination, the power system model can be transformed into linear system and can be controlled by optimal restrain. In the new L2 gain control methods, the control input can attenuation the disturbance interference and realize the minimizing the L2 gain parameters. Simulation results show that comparing the AVR+PSS control, this new control method can improve the convergence of the state parameters by changing the values of the weighting matrix;the new controller not only can suppress the disturbances, stabilize the power system, be adaptive to the uncertain parameter but also can be applied to minimize the impact of disturbance by solving the LMI to obtain the optimal control law against the worst disturbances. © 2023 IEEE.

Expanding the scope of renewable energy (RE) use is key to achieve the goal of zero carbon. Hydrogen is seen as the clean energy of the future since it is a non-polluted fuel and an excellent energy storage carrier for renewables. To simulate the operation of a hydrogen based power-generating system integrated with a Microgrid topology applications are appropriate for both heavy and light load conditions. However, this integration causes major technical problems like increased harmonics and fluctuations in voltage and currents of the system. It has become extremely difficult to maintain system stability during a time of fluctuating demands and unclear power supply. This turned into a huge challenge. The integration of a fuel cell (FC) system with a grid-connected microgrid topologies system is proposed in this paper. This study developed a dynamic proton exchange membrane (PEMFC) 20KW FC stack model. A nine-switch converter (NSC) is integrated with the FC and loaded into the grid. The report describes a grid-connected microgrid system powered by PEMFC. To link the FC with the demand to the conventional grid, the system employs NSC. The NSC is handled by two separate control structures. One for grid-side power management and another for demand-side power management to provide continuous power to the local demand independent of grid-side outages. The grid-side control logic is based on a PQ control approach that uses orthogonal components to control the grid. This method provides for separate regulation of active and reactive power. To retain constant voltage and frequency at the load terminals, the load-side control structure employs an independent voltage control mechanism. The entire system was tested with the OPAL-RT 4510 real-time simulator, and the results are discussed in this article. © 2023 IEEE.

In the ship degaussing system, a distributed power system is adopted, in which a single power module drives an independent coil load respectively. To ensure the degaussing effect, it is necessary to ensure the dynamic and static integrity of the load current. If an appropriate cooperative control strategy is not designed, the dynamic consistency of output current will be greatly affected by the difference in load. Therefore, this paper designs the cooperative control strategy based on the multi-agent consistency theory and proves the stability and consistency of the control strategy through the theory of discrete state space equation and graph theory. Through the simulation and experiment of multi distributed power system, it is verified that the control strategy has a good effect on improving the output current consistency of the power system. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Data-driven model predictive control of community batteries for voltage regulation in power grids subject to EV charging

In this paper, a Model Predictive control (MPC) for community Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) is proposed to mitigate the Electric Vehicle (EV) charging demand while maintaining voltage regulation in residential power grids. With the increased penetration of renewable-based Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) and the EV uptake, distribution grids are highly subject to voltage fluctuations due to back power feed from DERs or significant EV charging demand. Conventionally, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) have addressed this issue by adjusting the taps of transformers. However, managing the naturally unpredictable renewable generation and the power consumption behaviour of technology owners requires advanced real-time algorithms. In this paper, we apply a real-time control algorithm, based on Model Predictive control (MPC), to a community BESS in order to reduce voltage fluctuations. The MPC algorithm performs in real-time based on readings from smart meters of households. It predicts the future values of voltages at households based on the current and past readings of smart meters, and calculates the BESS charging or discharging rate such that future voltage deviations are minimised. Simulations on the real-world power consumption data from Victorian residential consumers, in Australia, show that the proposed controller performs significantly better than the fixed charging/discharging BESS schedule in both voltage regulation and BESS degradation.(c) 2022 The Author(s). In recent years, digital twin technology has been gradually applied in the field of agriculture. As a key technology for digital twins in agriculture, 3D reconstruction technology has attracted more and more researchers’ attention. 3D reconstruction of agriculture is difficult because crops are alive, especially for bisporus mushrooms. Bisporus mushrooms are generally grown intensively in narrow spaces in factories, which poses a huge challenge to the layout of the equipment for 3D reconstruction. But there are still some ways to solve the problem of 3D reconstruction of bisporus mushrooms in the factory, except for a small number of extruded mushrooms, most of the bisporus mushrooms can be replaced by regularly shaped geometry, the mushroom cap can be well adapted to the spatial ellipsoid and the space cylinder can express the characteristics of the mushroom stem well. This paper proposes a new method to reconstruction the bisporus mushrooms based on the YOLO v5s network with CBAM attention module. YOLO v5s network with CBAM attention module is used to generate coordinates of bounding boxes to segment the single bisporus mushroom point cloud from the whole point cloud obtained by depth camera, then the point cloud filter denoising algorithm is involved to remove noise spots and the ellipsoid fitting algorithm is used to reconstruct the model of bisporus mushroom caps. The results show that the proposed method can adapt well to bisporus mushroom plant environment in the factory, achieve high-precision fitting, and can be applied to the digital twin technology of bisporus mushroom smart factory in the future. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The clock tree synthesis (CTS) step is critical for the physical design of ultra-large-scale integrated circuits (VLSI). Outstanding CTS results can reduce the skew of clock networks, decrease chip power consumption while improving performance and reliability of the chip. This paper proposes a register clustering method based on the nondominated sorting genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II) algorithm to generate the leaf-level topology of the clock tree, addressing multi-objective optimization issues in integrated circuit physical design. We model register clustering as a multi-objective optimization problem. By analyzing the clock network model and power consumption to design the objective functions, register clustering schemes are encoded. Pareto optimal solutions are obtained through iterative evolution and non-dominated sorting. This method is integrated into the traditional CTS process. Three circuits were selected from the ISCAS89 benchmark circuit for testing and analysis proving its effectiveness. Experimental results show that compared to traditional clock tree synthesis methods, our approach reduces timing skew by more than 5%, maximum clock delay by over 15%, and power consumption by over 10%. Our strategy achieves a balance among multiple physical design objectives, obtaining superior clustering schemes. This paper offers an effective algorithm for multi-objective register clustering. © 2024 SPIE.

According to the Geophysical Institute of Peru, the city of Huancayo presents high values of acceleration and dynamic intensity, classified as a zone of great seismic danger. This work develops the Stewart platform as a seismic isolator for water storage tanks through active control in the city of Huancayo. For the dynamic analysis of the structure we took into account the properties of the fluid, impulsive mass, convective mass, modeled and analyzed by SAP2000 to analyze the structural behavior, Revit 2021, SolidWorks and also used the Arduino Mega and a gyroscope to obtain the acting vibrations in the 3 different directions and to process them to move the pistons in the opposite direction to the movement. Finally it was obtained that the Stewart platform helps to reduce vibrations in the structure by the 6 degrees of freedom it has, in the analysis of the tank walls it was observed that the moments were reduced by 62.47% and the lateral displacements were reduced achieving stabilization of the structure through active control.
