This paper describes the design, testing, and control of a lab-scale solid-state battery cell testing system. Solid-state lithium-sulfur cells are characterized under constant volume and constant stress conditions. The testing system also uses axial displacement feedback for mixed volume/stress control and dynamic switching between control modes as a function of state-of-charge and/or charge/discharge conditions.

The paper explores the use of knee stiffness as a parameter in the design of wearable knee assistive devices for augmenting human postural balance. The knee moment-angle relationship is utilized to estimate the quasi-stiffness of the knee. The measurement methods are carefully chosen to be non-invasive without rigid joint attachment to allow observation of unimpeded quiet stance. The relationship between identified biomechanical parameters and computed stiffness estimates is analyzed, and the resulting estimates are employed in the controller design of a stiffness-based knee assistive device. The paper also investigates the biomechanical response of the human body to the modulation of applied stiffness in the presence of varied visual stimuli. This research is a crucial first step toward designing knee-based assistive devices to enhance human postural balance in destabilizing environments. Copyright (c) 2023 The Authors. To solve the problem that factors such as the similar color of polyps and background in colon polyp images and the different sizes of polyps affect the segmentation accuracy, an improved SegFormer, U-SegFormer, is proposed for colon polyp image segmentation. Firstly, in the feature fusion phase of the decoder, features at multiple scales from the encoder output are fused in a cascade fashion and the feature representation is enhanced using the Unified Attention Fusion Module; Then, training the network in combination with transfer learning, using a loss function combining Dice Loss and Focal Loss to mitigate the effect of positive and negative sample imbalance on model training. Finally, the U-SegFormer was compared with other segmentation models, and the experimental results showed that the polyp segmentation method based on the U-SegFormer model was superior to the current mainstream segmentation methods and had a certain potential for clinical application.

Aiming at the problems of low speed and accuracy of traditional binocular ranging methods, this paper discusses the influence of a filtering sampling preprocessed lightweight image of binocular ranging. Firstly, the image to be detected is processed with different levels of Gaussian filtering and up-down sampling, and different levels of preprocessed images are obtained. Secondly, based on YOLOv5 object detection and recognition, MATLAB binocular calibration and stereo rectification are carried out, and then SGBM and BM stereo matching algorithms are respectively combined to realize the binocular ranging of the two methods. Finally, the relationship between binocular ranging range, speed, and accuracy is analyzed under the condition of image preprocessing. The results show that the image preprocessed by one upsampling and downsampling can achieve a simultaneous improvement in the speed and accuracy of the range measurement.
