In recent years, the occurrence of fiber optic cable damage due to external breakage and other factors has become increasingly common. However, traditional fiber optic line monitoring equipment often utilizes a monitoring mode that only monitors backup fiber optic lines. This mode fails to meet the online detection requirements of fiber optic cables when backup lines are switched to working lines. This article presents the design of an online monitoring system for urban power fiber optic transmission lines, utilizing distributed fiber optic sensing technology. The system is divided into four main components: a power supply unit, an optical monitoring unit, an embedded control unit, and a data transmission unit. The monitoring equipment is controlled remotely by the main computer. It has the capability to monitor four power optical fibers simultaneously and offers two monitoring modes that can be easily switched for each monitoring line. The online monitoring system has been applied to a 2563-kilometer 10kV optical cable power communication line of a certain company in the State Grid. The system has chosen to conduct online monitoring of 2563 kilometers of power communication optical cables and 10kV optical cables operated and maintained by a specific company in the State Grid. This monitoring system achieves mode switching of power optical fiber lines and monitoring line switching. The mechanical optical switch has a switching capacity of over 3 × 107 times and an insertion loss of less than 0.8dB. This enables quick fault detection and improves the timeliness of fault monitoring. © 2023 IEEE.

Targeted drug delivery via nanorobots has become an area of prominent research. However, since such robots are microns in size (and in the future, nanometers in size), implementing control laws to make sure the nanorobot does not deviate from a desired trajectory becomes exceedingly difficult. Building upon the existing nonlinear dynamic models of a nanorobot, this work proposes a data-driven method for optimal path planning and control of nanorobots. Specifically, the collision avoidance strategy, Dynamic Window Approach (DWA) implemented with linear quadratic regulator (LQR) control, is employed to simulate a randomly chosen nanorobot moving through the pulmonary artery against blood flow. The nanorobot is simulated as though it is being guided from the initial site to the target site via an induced magnetic field gradient generated by an MRI. It is shown that when full-state feedback control is implemented for nanorobot control, the LQR controller is able to quickly bring the nanorobot to desired states. Copyright (c) 2023 The Authors. With the rapid development of high-speed railway, it is necessary to ensure the safety of railway running, and the computer interlock system is the key equipment to ensure the safety of railway running in the station. It is a real-time system with high safety and reliability, which needs comprehensive and strict testing before it is put into use. In order to ensure that the interlocking system can strictly complete the function of each part, the computer interlocking test is very important. In recent years, with the rapid development of deep learning and image processing technology, in order to further improve the test efficiency of computer interlocking system, this paper studies the result decision module of automatic interlocking test. Target detection algorithm YOLOv5 is adopted to realize the location and recognition of signal, switch and section icon on the interlocking interface. © 2023 SPIE.

Hydraulic pumps are a key component in manufacturing industry and off-highway vehicles. Paired with diesel engines or electric motors, they provide hydraulic flow that can conveniently be used to power a variety of actuators. Hydraulic power transmission has numerous advantages, unfortunately energy efficiency is usually not one of those. The use of Variable Speed Variable Displacement pumps has been proven to be advantageous with respect to constant speed or constant displacement solutions: It allows to achieve higher efficiency and faster flow tracking dynamics. This paper presents the development of a Model Predictive control for this system, considering the nonlinearities and look-up-tables that characterize the system dynamics. The Model Predictive controller is then compared both in simulation and on test bench with a reference controller for such system, showing potential both regarding efficiency and flow tracking dynamics. The majority of educational institutions still track student attendance using the old-fashioned method (paper-based). Paper-based attendance registers have a variety of problems, including the inability to evaluate the data because it is not uploaded to a centralized system. The embedded cameras on campus will take a picture of it. The faces of all the students are in the database. Students’ photos for future usage. Face recognition was used to capture the student's image. Either students are arriving, or everyone is seated in the space. The student's presence is recognized right away. The final step in the recognition process is to compare the detected face photos to the database of student images. if the image and database are identical. The pupil is noted as being present. Active suspension as an advanced vehicle vibration damping device has important application value, but the current research on the control strategy of the active suspension is mostly based on simulation mode, lacking experimental research. This paper presents a hardware-in-The-loop test research on the 1/4 vehicle active suspension test platform based on hardware-in-The-loop simulation techniques. Active suspension Simulink models of a linear quadratic regulator control strategy and an active suspension based on a modified reference skyhook model sliding mode control strategy are developed. Simulations are carried out under different road excitations (sinusoidal and bump) and the suspension performance evaluation parameters are determined so that the control effect can be evaluated and analyzed. The software for the hardware-in-The-loop test is the QUARC and the hardware consists of a computer, 1/4 vehicle active suspension test platform, data acquisition card and power amplifier. Compared to the linear quadratic regulator (LQR) controlled active suspension, the sliding mode controlled (SMC) active suspension based on the reference skyhook model provides more significant improvements in the suspension performance indicators of sprung mass acceleration, suspension dynamic travel and tire dynamic load. The 1/4 vehicle active suspension hardware-in-The-loop test provides a basis for theory and broadens the research path for non-real vehicle validation. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

D2D (device to device, D2D) communication is one of the key technologies in 5G wireless networks, which is very effective in improving the network resource utilization and reducing the latency of proximity communication. However, D2D short-range communication technology can bring interference to cellular systems while improving spectrum resource utilization. In this paper, we propose a joint power control and channel selection communication resource allocation scheme with the aim of maximizing system throughput while reducing inter-user interference. First, all optimal transmit power finite sets are derived using convex function theory under the constraint of ensuring the QoS (quality-of-service, QoS) of system users;then, the classical KM (Kuhn-Munkres, KM) algorithm is used to match the best multiplexed subcarriers for D2D users to maximize the system throughput after multiplexing. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively improve the system performance. © 2023 SPIE. All rights reserved.

Tunable Diode Laser Absorption Spectroscopy (TDLAS) technology is widely used in the detection of SF6 decomposition components because of its high spectral resolution and fast response. However, although the traditional TDLAS gas detection system can measure the second harmonic signal, due to the single reference signal of the designed phase-locked amplifier, it is more susceptible to interference under complex noise environment, and the processing steps of the detection signal and the reference signal are cumbersome, the actual measurement results may be biased. In this paper, a simulation model of TDLAS absorption spectrum is built based on the virtual phase-locked amplifier in LabVIEW software, and TDLAS gas detection results are analyzed under different modulation coefficients, modulation frequencies and gas concentrations. The results show that the TDLAS gas detection simulation platform designed in this paper can effectively detect the second harmonic signal under different parameter settings. Considering the second harmonic amplitude and peak width, the modulation coefficient of the modulated signal is 2.5, and the high modulation frequency signal is used as the modulation signal. In addition, after simulating gas detection, it is found that with the increase of gas concentration, the amplitude of the second harmonic waveform also increases, and the fitting results showed that the change of the peak value of the second harmonic is highly linear with the gas concentration (R2 is 0.992). The research results can provide theoretical support for TDLAS signal extraction and trace gas detection. © 2023 IEEE.

The precision of measurement of force during machining, especially machine tools, has been assessed by engineers in the field of engineering applications for a long time. This research is expected to give light about the design, material selection, and fabrication of a cutting force boundary dynamometer. The study entails the force sensing mechanisms, the shape of the specimens, and the orientations of how the force is measured inclusive of the capability to connect the force measuring system to a computer for data acquisition. The main purpose for the work is the researching of the magnitude of static cutting as well as the magnitude of dynamics cutting as the processes of turning as well as the operations allied to turning. The details provided in this paper will assist the researchers and academicians in this field to acquire more knowledge concerning cutting force measurement.
