Synchronization units are vital for the stable operation of grid-tied converters in generation and transmission. There are two main synchronization units, i.e., phase-locked loop (PLL) and power synchronization controller (PSC), with the corresponding drawbacks in weak and strong grid respectively. Recently, the hybrid synchronization controller (HSC) is proposed in order to make up the deficiencies of PLL and PSC in weak and strong grid respectively. This paper deduces the detailed impedance characteristics of PSC and HSC and compares their cons and pros to show the stability mechanism of HSC. Moreover, two types of HSCs are also presented and compared in this article with slight difference in structure. It is found that the impedance of Type II based HSC has smaller amplitude and better phase margin than PSC around fundamental frequency, while Type I based HSC has larger amplitude and less phase margin than PSC. Type II based HSC can improve the stability and Type I based HSC can worsen the stability compared with PSC. Realtime experiments are carried out to verify this. (c) 2023 Published by Elsevier Ltd. The flapping wing robot (FWR), inspired by avian aerodynamics, is a distinct category of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Different to general UAVs, such as quadcopters, FWRs are featured by their superior aerodynamic capabilities, minimal noise generation, inherent stealth, and lower energy consumption. As a result, they are rapidly becoming vital tools in a variety of civilian and military activities including environmental monitoring, disaster detection, search and rescue operations, ecological conservation, and military manoeuvres. Our study introduces the comprehensive integration of a light detection and ranging (LiDAR) module, serving as a visual perception device, with a large FWR that is equipped with 2-meter, two-segment wings. Based on this setup, the geospatial information of targeted area is captured and compared to the existed topographic data.

At present, the programming methods of industrial robots mainly include off-line programming and instructional programming. However, both of the methods are time-consuming and require experienced robotics technicians. In order to improve the interactivity of industrial robot control system, this paper has designed a control system of industrial robot based on hand gestures. The whole system is composed of four parts. The IMU is used in the human hand gesture acquisition, and the signal processing of IMU is analyzed. The relationship between gestures and robot movements in linear motion mode and joint motion mode are analyzed respectively. The ABB IRB 120 robot is used as a test object and its program is designed. Finally, the effectiveness of the method proposed in this paper is validated.
