Nowadays, BLDC motors have become important motors for their many applications. Some of these applications require precise position and speed control, such as paper and textile mills, robots, CNC machines, etc. These and other applications require an accurate tracking trajectory of the movement. In this paper, two methods were used for dual motor synchronization, namely SMC and conventional PI control, to connect the two motors and perform the precise synchronization of their movements. Also, the cascade controller was designed to control the position of two BLDC motors. A salp swarm algorithm is used to determine the values of parameters for cascade control methods P and PI and dual motor synchronization (DMS) for both methods. In addition to using the objective function, Integral Time Absolute Error (ITAE), to produce the most accurate results, The results were compared using sliding mode control and conventional PI control for dual motor synchronization. The simulation results showed that the dual motor synchronization by sliding mode control is better than the dual motor synchronization by conventional PI control in terms of deviation, settling time, and overshoot. It was noted that at point (7,2), when drawing the letter (M), using conventional PI control showed a clear deviation and inaccurate drawing. while the deviation from this point is very small (almost zero) when using sliding mode control. © 2023 IEEE.

The cargo hold loading control system of a cargo aircraft is the central nerve of the cargo loading system of the cargo aircraft, and its working performance directly determines the cargo loading efficiency of the cargo aircraft. This paper focuses on the design of the main controller of the cargo hold loading control system of the cargo aircraft, and conducts research on the difficulties faced by the design of the controller system, such as multiple controlled objects, complex control logic, large-capacity information interaction, and high real-time requirements, and develops a cargo aircraft cargo controller. The functional prototype of the cargo loading system controller of the cargo plane was developed, and relevant test verification was carried out on the demonstration verification platform. The test results demonstrate that the system's frame error rate is 0.1%, and the periodic fluctuation remains stable within the range of ±0.01 ms. At the same time, the loading and unloading tasks of multi-standard container units were successfully executed, which confirms the feasibility of the main controller scheme designed for the cargo loading control system. © 2023 IEEE.

Black nickel plating is a decorative coating typically electrodeposited from an electroplating bath containing nickel and zinc cations. To ensure coating quality, chemical composition and pH value of plating bath should be closely monitored and maintained within the working ranges, especially when an inert anode is used. With plating by using an inert anode, both pH and bath composition will change and eventually drift out of the working range, leading to coating defects. In this paper, we propose a new methodology to tune the black nickel plating bath back to its usable range, by identifying the critical parameters and their limits, and give a recommended sequence for facile tuning to obtain optimal performance in terms of uniform black appearance. The recommended sequence of tuning is to first adjust the pH value, then the zinc concentration, and finally the nickel concentration when they reach their critical limits. The deposited black nickel coatings are characterized using sphere spectrophotometer and scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy where the ratio of deposited zinc to nickel is found to be critical for obtaining a uniform and consistent black appearance.

Advanced adiabatic compressed air energy storage (AA-CAES) can improve the rate of new energy consumption and ensure the stable operation of microgrids, which is a key technology for building comprehensive energy microgrids. Existing research lacks modeling methods that adequately reflect the dynamic characteristics of the AA-CAES system, making it challenging to reflect the coupling relationship between the integrated energy microgrid and the energy storage system. This paper proposes a component-level dynamic modeling approach for the AA-CAES system under variable operating conditions and constructs a system-level dynamic model of the compressor subsystem and turbine subsystem. Finally, the accuracy of the dynamic model developed in this paper is verified in combination with existing models. The simulation results demonstrate that the dynamic model of the AA-CAES system developed in this paper is both accurate and practical, and it can precisely capture the thermodynamic dynamic process of compressed air energy storage. © 2023 IEEE.

The existence of distributed power supplies, energy storage devices, flexible loads, and other multi-agents with uncertain output in smart parks poses great challenges to traditional optimal regulation. This article proposes an optimization strategy based on the accelerated alternating direction method of multipliers (A2DM2) to solve the distributed collaborative control problem of multi-agent smart parks. Firstly, the smart park system is divided rationally, and the minimum cost is established as the goal of the distributed control model. Then, according to the multi-agent output constraint, the A2DM2 is used to optimize the solution. Finally, it is verified through simulation. © 2023 IEEE.

For the control system of the permanent magnet synchronous linear motor (PMSLM), the PID parameter tuning process is reliant on manual experience, cumbersome, and prone to local optimization issues. The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is employed for automatic PID parameter tuning. To mitigate motion overshoot resulting from the GA algorithm's random parameter assignment, a PD parameter tuning rate is introduced to enhance system dynamic performance during tuning. The proposed improvement is then compared with a commonly used control scheme on the PMSLM experimental platform. Experimental results demonstrate the superior dynamic performance of the proposed calibration scheme in terms of system overshoot, response speed, and tracking error. Additionally, it proves applicable under various loading conditions, enhancing its practicality. © 2023 IEEE.

In response to the problem of vibration and low work efficiency during robot milling, taking into account the work indicators of milling time and stability, combined with the kinematic constraints of the robotic arm, the time impact optimization problem is transformed into a multi-objective optimization problem. The paper proposes an improved whale optimization algorithm, which introduces a differential mutation strategy to improve the problem of traditional whale algorithms easily getting stuck in local optima. Compared with traditional whale optimization algorithms, the improved whale algorithm significantly improves the convergence speed and accuracy during the milling process. Finally, it is verified by a solid robot. The results showed that the pulse value of the planned trajectory was reduced by up to 99.76%, and the efficiency was improved by 47.62%, effectively avoiding robot vibration during the milling process. © The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2024.

The objective of this endeavor is to develop a dynamic traffic signal system that adjusts the timing of traffic signals based on the density of traffic at any given junction. Traffic jam is a major issue in most cities worldwide, and there is a need to transition from manual or fixed timer-based traffic signal systems to automated systems with decision-making capabilities. Current traffic signal systems are based on fixed time intervals, which can be inefficient if one lane is more active than the others. To solve this problem, we propose a smart traffic management system that adjusts the green and red-light timings based on the traffic density. This is accomplished using Proximity Infrared Sensors (PIR). Once the density is calculated, the microcontroller (Arduino) determines the duration of the green light. Sensors on the sides of the road detect the presence of vehicles and transmit information to the microcontroller, which decides how long a lane should be open or when to switch signal lights. The subsequent sections provide a detailed explanation of the framework. © 2023 IEEE.
