In this paper, a novel single-channel speech enhancement algorithm based on an iterative posterior regularized nonnegative matrix factorization (NMF)-based adaptive Wiener filter is proposed. The statistical-based approaches’ performance is poor under the non-stationary background noise conditions. Prior information is needed for template-based methods, but performance-wise template-based methods are robust and better in presence of non-stationary compared to statistical model-based approaches. To overcome the limitations of both, we propose a method that combines the iterative posterior regularized NMF and an adaptive Wiener filtering method. In the proposed method, prior distributions are used for transformed domain spectral magnitudes of speech and noise components to model an iterative posterior NMF. The magnitude of the spectral component of speech and noise is considered as an inverse gamma, Gaussian distribution. The samples of speech and noise are well fit in those distributions to provide a better adaptive estimation of the necessary statistics of those distributions to get a natural regularization of the NMF criterion. An adaptive Wiener filter technique derives the adaptive factor (α) based on the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) level for the Wiener filter gain. The adaptive factor minimizes the estimation errors of the Wiener filter and improves the speech quality by adjusting the base vector weights based on estimated noise and speech levels. The proposed method outperforms other benchmark algorithms in terms of the source to distortion ratio (SDR), short-time objective intelligibility (STOI), and perceptual evaluation of speech quality (PESQ). © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd.

In this research, we employed the convolutional classifiers, namely Fuzzy Local Information c-Means (FLICM) and Adaptive Fuzzy Local Information c-Means (ADFLICM), to classify and map chickpea agricultural fields in the Nagaur region of Rajasthan. This classification was performed using Planet Scope and Sentinel-2 data. To streamline the processing of temporal data and reduce spectral information, we experimented with the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) indices. To optimize the performance of the FLICM and ADFLICM algorithms, we utilized the Mean Membership Difference (MMD) technique to determine the most suitable fuzziness value. We also estimated the area of the ground-truthed chickpea fields to compare the performance of both methods. For the FLICM and ADFLICM algorithms with Planet Scope data, the estimated areas were 8914 m2 and 11278 m2, respectively. The ADFLICM algorithm was also applied to classify Sentinel-2 data, demonstrating its effectiveness with medium-resolution data, and the estimated area for Sentinel-2 data was 10633 m2. Finally, we calculated the Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) for the ADFLICM algorithm, which was found to be 0.075194, using Planet Scope satellite data as the reference dataset and Sentinel-2 satellite data as the classified dataset. © 2023 Elsevier B.V.. Information systems depend on security mechanisms to detect and respond to cyber-attacks. One of the most frequent attacks is the Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS): it impairs the performance of systems and, in the worst case, leads to prolonged periods of downtime that prevent business processes from running normally. To detect this attack, several supervised Machine Learning (ML) algorithms have been developed and companies use them to protect their servers. A key stage in these algorithms is feature pre-processing, in which, input data features are assessed and selected to obtain the best results in the subsequent stages that are required to implement supervised ML algorithms. In this article, an innovative approach for feature selection is proposed: the use of Visibility Graphs (VGs) to select features for supervised machine learning algorithms used to detect distributed DoS attacks. The results show that VG can be quickly implemented and can compete with other methods to select ML features, as they require low computational resources and they offer satisfactory results, at least in our example based on the early detection of distributed DoS. The size of the processed data appears as the main implementation constraint for this novel feature selection method.

The primary challenge for successful 3D concrete printing is the complicated characteristics the materials should own, especially printability. The result and the slump-flow tests probably determine this parameter. Unfortunately, the traditional slump and slump-flow test methods are basically based on length and time measured by a ruler and a stopwatch then the result may reflect error caused by human. We introduce in this research an efficient method for slump and slump-flow test data receiving with Kinect v1. Our approach is based on the non-contact measurement and data processing. After capturing the dynamically changing 3D surface of concrete using a 3D device during the test, the results are processed into a point cloud. The slump flow diameter and height at any location simultaneously can be indicated from this point cloud. Finally, the experimental results show that the efficiency of the proposed method is significantly improved. © 2023, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG.

Exploratory data Analysis (EDA) is an important step in data analysis where it helps data Analysts and researchers represent the data visually and dig patterns from data to obtain deep knowledge ingrained in the dataset. In medical domain, data analysis primarily helps physicians and researchers in the field of health care where data about the patients is available in the form of text and images. To take the right choice in terms of cure and treatment, the analysis of the previous records of the patients helps most of the time. This proposed Exploratory data Analysis analyzes the attributes: Nottingham Prognostic Index (NPI), the Overall Survival Status (OSS) and Relapse Free Status (RFS) from the Metabric Breast Cancer dataset to determine the survivability and disease recurrence among different age categories of breast cancer patients for 5-year and 10-years. The EDA is done using the visualization tools of Python and the observations from the data are represented using relevant swarm plots and tabulations. Comparison is also made in terms of NPI to the survival rates with that of the survival rates as reported from the datasets Breast Test Wales and Grimsby Breast Unit.

With the rapid development of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, intelligent traffic management has been widely used. License plate recognition technology is particularly important in intelligent traffic management as the unique identification of vehicles, but due to the influence of natural environment, recognition angle, image clarity, size of license plate and other factors, the traditional license plate recognition technology is less robust and difficult to accurately identify the number plate number. In this paper, we describe a license plate recognition technique implemented by constructing Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN), which is able to recognize license plate numbers more accurately and has certain significance for further research on deep learning in the field of intelligent traffic management. © COPYRIGHT SPIE. In order to avoid the wrong transmission behavior of medical data and realize the effective protection of sensitive information samples, the protection algorithm of medical sensitive data based on differential privacy is studied. According to the application principles of Laplace mechanism and index mechanism, a query control model is constructed, and then the analysis of differential privacy protection technology for medical sensitive data is realized by solving the security trust index. Based on the R-tree clustering structure, according to the sensitivity index calculation results, the search and processing of sensitive objects are completed, and the design of medical sensitive data protection algorithm based on differential privacy is completed. The experimental results show that under the effect of the principle of differential privacy, the error transmission probability of medical sensitive data will never be higher than 10%. It has strong application feasibility in solving the problem of medical data error transmission and effectively protecting sensitive information samples. © 2023, ICST Institute for Computer Sciences, Social Informatics and Telecommunications Engineering.

In the era of big data, 3D electronic maps and GIS have important applications in fields such as geographic information analysis and urban computing. However, the construction cost of electronic maps is high, especially the 3D modeling of buildings as an important feature image, which leads to a high economic threshold for the acquisition of high-precision 3D building electronics. At the same time, with the increase of map area, the efficiency of 3D reconstruction of buildings is difficult to meet the demand. In order to solve the problem of high cost and low efficiency of 3D reconstruction of buildings in GIS, this paper proposes a method for fast and low-cost 3D modeling of buildings using building image data provided by online electronic maps, using deep neural network target recognition and instance segmentation techniques to segment building facades and calculate building pixel heights from 3D building image data. Secondly, a mapping model of building pixel height to metric height is built using a simple design warp network to calculate building metric height. Finally, a method is proposed to calculate the height of the blocked buildings. The evaluation of the accuracy of the experimental results compared with the baseline data shows that the 3D building data obtained using the GIS building 3D modeling scheme studied in this paper meets the expected requirements in terms of the location and shape of the bottom edge contour of the building and the height of the building, and can meet the demand for 3D building electronic map data in areas such as urban planning and wireless network optimization. © 2023 The Authors.

Aiming at the problem of poor real-time performance and low recognition rate of traffic light recognition methods in complex scenes, a traffic light recognition method for complex scenes is studied. Firstly, the bilateral median filter is used to suppress the noise in the complex background, and the image with low illumination is enhanced; Then, the improved Scharr operator is used for edge segmentation, and the interference region is removed by mathematical morphology processing and setting double threshold, and the accurate location of signal lamp is realized by region analysis algorithm; Finally, according to the color histogram of Cr component in YCbCr color space, the threshold range for judging color is set, and according to the shape characteristics of signal lamps, the discrimination conditions of shape or number is set. Finally, the accurate recognition of traffic signal lamps is realized. The experimental comparative analysis shows that for the traffic light recognition of complex scenes such as cloudy, rainy, snowy and foggy days, the average recognition accuracy of this method is 98.8%, and the average running time of the algorithm is 0.8s. The recognition rate is greatly improved, and the traffic light can be recognized quickly and accurately. Therefore, this method has good robustness and real-time performance.

MapReduce and Hadoop distributed data processing technologies are used for systematic research. The system is interactive in distributed computing, data mining, service response and cloud environment. At the level of data mining, the normalized method is used to normalize the data, so that it has a standardized dimension. The converted signal is denoised by ICA fast decomposition method. Cloud DM takes full advantage of Hadoop's open-source cloud platform, which is able to efficiently process large amounts of data. This provides a service model for the development and operation of distributed data mining system. This paper introduces the core components of the business-based cloud computing mining engine and its implementation methods. Combined with data mining technology in cloud computing environment, large-scale data storage, processing and data interoperability are realized. Experiments show that this method can efficiently mine the spatial attributes of the city and improve the efficiency of data mining to a great extent.
