With the emergence of big data and the development of mobile devices, mobile data mining has received more and more attention. It shows its unique advantages, but it also exposes its inability to handle large datasets efficiently. Based on the traditional mobile data mining project, we combined cloud computing and proposed and implemented the MobileWeka2 model based on cloud computing. In order to prove the feasibility of the model, we conducted different data mining experiments on multiple data sets. Experimental results show that this model can efficiently process large data sets and solve the problems of traditional mobile data mining.

In this study it is investigated whether signalprocessing techniques and least-square minimization methods applied to seismic data can identify the deterministic signal components that contribute significantly to the motions. The identification of these deterministic components would then allow the treatment of the remaining part of the time histories as random and result in better descriptions of the stochastic ground motion characteristics. This paper describes the methodology and applies the approach to analytically evaluated seismic ground motions at an array of sensors. Commonly used signalprocessing techniques are briefly described and compared, and an efficient least-square minimization scheme is introduced. This paper presents a wide-band half-rate frequency locked loop (FLL) circuit in 180 nm CMOS process. The bidirectional FLL includes a coarse frequency detector (CFD) and a fine frequency detector (FFD) to automatically detect a change in input data rate, acquires the new frequency without the need for an external reference clock or any programming. A modified CFD is proposed to reduce the frequency acquisition time. The simulation shows the FLL achieves wide lock range of 400Mb/s-to-2.6Gb/s and frequency acquisition time of 1.73 mu s.

In this work, we analyze the usefulness of the normalized compression distance (NCD) as a similarity measure to bird species identification through audio samples. As a first approach we review the effect of different compression methods from 7z and CompLearn Toolkit, over subsets of bird audio samples obtained from the xeno-canto database. The performance of each compression method was measured applying hierarchical clustering and projection mapping to the distance matrix, and later on, measuring the quality of both of them. Our results are very promising and show that the identification of a bird species among multiples audio samples is possible through NCD-basedon clustering.

A new image coding method based on image region is proposed in this paper. According to the features of the image gray surface, an image is partitioned into many convex polygons which appoximate the original image as close as possible. The experimental results show that good quality of the reconstructed image can still be obtained when the data compression ratio is more than 20:1 and SNR is more than 30dB.

The paper describes concept and implementation of a data cache architecture with concurrent conflict free access to shared data for DSPs with parallel, synchronized processing units. It utilizes techniques known from object-oriented software design to achieve efficient and programmer friendly on-chip storage of data. The cache internally uses virtual 1D or 2D address spaces directly assigned to data structures instead of a conventional, linear address space. data within the cache are distributed to a number of memory banks. Virtual local addresses are used for data location and hit/miss detection to minimize cost and memory latency. The object-oriented cache is fully transparent to programmer and compiler, reduces the amount of address calculations to be performed, exploits the 2D spatial locality typical for image processing algorithms and can be integrated into a standard RISC processor pipeline.

Blind equalization and blind deconvolution have been an important interesting topic in diverse fields including data communication, image processing and geophysical dataprocessing. Recently, Inouye and Babe proposed a multistage maximization criterion and a single-stage maximization criterion for attaining the blind equalization of multichannel linear time-invariant systems. However, their maximization criteria should be subjected to several constraints of equations. In this paper, we present unconstrained new maximization criteria for accomplishing the blind equalization of multichannel linear time-invariant systems. Stochastic gradient algorithms are proposed for solving the unconstrained maximization problems. Simulation examples are included to examine the performance of the proposed algorithms.
