Electroencephalography (EEG) which is the electrical signal recorded by the sensors attached on the human scalp to detect brain activities has been the emerging trends in digital signalprocessing. As compared to processing other types of digital data such as speech or audio signals, EEG signalprocessing is more challenging. However, EEG signals have practically found a wide range of important applications. In this paper, we propose a design of a brain-computer interface (BCI) using EEG's P300 component to a control application. First, we use the Emotiv EPOC headset to capture the raw EEG signals. Then, we adopt a classification algorithm by invoking support vector machine along with the selected extracted features to classify the two-class EEG trials (with and without P300 component). The algorithm is developed to help people express their selection of one among four commands. The experimental results are provided evaluate the classification accuracy.

In this paper, we present a novel packet-based protocol for description and configuration of an array of signalprocessing instruments, software modules that run on these processors, physical and logical connections, and management of binary data streams between system elements and external devices. Classification and recognition of activities performed by humans is an essential task when we are into an era of connected-sensors and Industry 4.0, also referred to as the Internet of Things (IoT). In this paper, we propose an intelligent human activity-recognition system that can automatically predict daily human activities based on data acquired by sensors, using deep learning techniques like Two-dimensional Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM). The data collected using the sensors is fed to CNN and LSTM network. The proposed model is trained and tested on the WISDM dataset. The proposed deep learning architecture has Batch Normalization (BN) and dropout layers to avoid overfitting. The proposed architecture is of low complexity and achieves high accuracy and F1 score. The final accuracy obtained using the LSTM model is up to 97.5% with 21,922 trainable parameters. The obtained results are represented with the help of a convolutional matrix and learning curves. The results are quite promising and can be utilized without any restrictions on environments or domain-structures.

The signal acquisition and processing of homogenizing pressure in high pressure homogenizer are studied. For the measuring requirements of dynamic parameters in high pressure homogenizer, pressure transmitter, the signal collecting circuits about intensifier pump's motion were selected. The signal acquisition system can perform the functions such as signal collecting, recording and data recalling and so on. Moreover, the wavelet decomposition using 'sym4' at level 10 was used for de-noising of homogenizing pressure signal. The decomposed signal is selected through Birge-Massart threshold strategy and reconstructed. After collected and processed, the homogenizing pressure signal can be the foundational data for analyzing the homogenizing process and improving the crucial structure of high pressure homogenizer.
