Compared with the traditional contact ranging technology, the optic-electronic ranging technology has been widely used in the fields of automatic measurement and online monitoring because of its non-contacting mode, good accuracy, real-time and other prominent advantages. Aiming at the engineering requirements of the close quarters ranging, the paper designed an optic-electronic ranging system for close quarters based on PSD. With the improved vertical-incidence triangulation as measuring principle, the optical system was set up on the optical platform. And then the position signal detecting circuit and the data acquisition and processing circuit were designed. The data acquisition and processing circuit with the ARM microprocessor as its core used the own 12 bit high-speed A/D convert module of the chip to collect the data. The circuit realized the other functions such as the real-time display, the LED indication and the buzzer warning. The test results show that the measuring range of the system is 100 mm to 150 mm, and ranging accuracy could reach 1 mm. The system ultimately reached the preliminary design requirements.

This paper proposes multiple-valued pulse-position modulation (MVPPM) techniques to achieve efficient data transmission in VLSI systems. The MVPPM coding employs 2-dimensional information representation in both time and amplitude domain to increase data rates. This time-domain information processing uses timing resolution, and therefore fits well with advanced high-speed low-voltage CMOS processes. An 8-valued MVPPM transceiver is designed and simulated using SPICE to demonstrate the capability of compensating for deterioration of signals caused by interconnections.

data simulation is an important auxiliary method for baseband signal processing algorithm design of digital IF GNSS receiver. Especially when the high sensitivity and high dynamic receivers are developed, or multipath and cross correlation mitigation techniques are considered, exact and complete tests under all kinds of necessary scenes can be carried out with the IF signal data which is generated by software simulation method. With this method, the developing efficiency can be improved and the cost can be cut down. In this paper, precise model of the IF signal is given firstly through analyzing GNSS receivers' RF processing flow. Then, considering the discrete characteristic of software processing, the IF signal simulation flow and block of the simulation software are designed. Finally, the specific design process is given through a design example. When the IF signal simulation software is used for testing baseband signal processing algorithms, GNSS receivers' IF signal data under every necessary test scene can be generated just by parameter adjustment. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Identification of frog sound is useful tool and competent in biological research and environmental monitoring. In contrast with traditional methods that not practical due to the time consuming, expensive or detrimental to the animal's welfare, this study proposes an automatic frog call identification system. 750 data species that recorded from Malaysia forest is used as data signals and have been corrupted by 10dB and 20dB noise to determine the performance of accuracy in noisy environment. MFCC parameter is employed as feature extraction. An analysis of signals for different number of MFCCs (8, 12, 15, 20 and 25) is presented and the results are provided using MFCC, Delta Coefficients (Delta MFCC) and Delta Delta Coefficients (Delta Delta MFCC). Subsequently, kNN classifier is applied to evaluate the performance in the frog identification system. The results show the accuracy range from 84.67% to 85.78%, 61.33% to 68.89% and 59.33% to 67.33% in clean environment, 10dB and 20dB, respectively.

Based on microscale gases leakage to produce ultrasonic principal, pressure vessels for small leaks can produce ultrasonic signal, determining the design of scheme to extracted container leak of weak signal, and analyze the signal, it can provide the method of using ultrasonic testing for tank leakage based on basic theory experiment, and presents the system design scheme of the system consists of hardware and software, used for data collection and analysis processing respectively, in order to realize the function of estimating of the microscale gas leakage.

Mechanical behavior of high speed train's bogie seriously impact the reliability of the train system. Performance monitoring and fault diagnosis for the critical component on bogie are very important. Simulation data of high speed train bogie fault signal is selected in data experiment. Based on multiresolution analysis, wavelet entropy features are extracted to reflect the uncertainty level of the vibration signal on scales. In the high dimension space composed by several wavelet entropy features, the dates from four fault patterns are classified and the result is satisfactory. Result show that wavelet entropy feature is effective for fault signal analysis of high speed train bogie.

Gearbox vibration signal contains a wealth of the gear status information, used wavelet packet transform (WPT) refinement of the partial lock ability to extract the fault signs attribute information in the vibration signal. Extracted signs attribute information as the input of the flow graph (FG), generated decision rules to achieve the purpose of fault diagnosis. FG was a knowledge representation and data mining method to mine the intrinsic link between the data and improve the clarity of the potential knowledge. The results confirmed that used of WPT feature extraction and FG data mining method can accurate detection the gear fault.

This test system Provide a technical to promote the image intensifier research, and experience to testing other parameters or in other areas of research.

In order to test the electrical performance parameters of mobile power station accurately, according to the different test requirements of electrical performance, a test system of PC 104 embedded industrial computer was designed, which is based on virtual instrument. The software system based on LabWindows/CVI is introduced, which contains achievements of tests' method, control of signal sampling and load-shifting, management and output of test data. In the part of hardware design, signal sampling circuit and load-shifting circuit is introduced mostly. The actual test shows that the system can well satisfy the test requirement.

This EMRP (European Metrology Research Programme) project, MetroFission, has been looking at solving metrological problems related to a new generation of nuclear power plants. The proposed Generation IV power plants are designed to run safely, make efficient use of natural resources, minimize the waste and maintain proliferation resistance. In order to reach these goals, the reactor operation involves higher temperatures, high-energy neutron fluence, different types of fuel where the minor actinides are included etc. In this multidisciplinary project, which has 12 partners in 10 countries, the work has focused on improved temperature measurements, investigation of thermal properties of advanced materials, determination of new and relevant nuclear data and development of measurement techniques for radionuclides suitable for Generation IV power plants. The improved temperature measurement for nuclear power plant applications includes the development of a new Fe-C fixed point. Robust, repeatable and versatile cells have been constructed and compared with success among the project participants and their melting temperatures have been determined. Furthermore, the methodology of self-validating thermocouples has proven efficient at several fixed point temperatures (Au, Cu, Co-C, Fe-C) using different designs. A practical acoustic thermometer has been tested at high temperature (1000 degrees C) with success thanks to the use of innovative signal processing methods. Mo/Nb thermocouples have been obtained with different sheath materials and tested with the aim to achieve for the first time a reference function determined with the best possible uncertainties. Following reviews of designs and technology proposed for fourth generation nuclear plants effort within this project, with regards to thermal properties of advanced materials for nuclear design, has concentrated on provision of thermodynamic data support the development of the sodium cooled fast reactor (ASTRID). data ha
