The signalprocessing speed of spectral domain optical coherence tomography (SD-OCT) has become a bottleneck in many medical applications. Recently, a time-domain interpolation method was proposed. This method not only gets a better signal-to noise ratio (SNR) but also gets a faster signalprocessing time for the SD-OCT than the widely used zero-padding interpolation method. Furthermore, the re-sampled data is obtained by convoluting the acquired data and the coefficients in time domain. Thus, a lot of interpolations can be performed concurrently. So, this interpolation method is suitable for parallel computing. An ultra-high optical coherence tomography signalprocessing can be realized by using graphics processing unit (GPU) with computer unified device architecture (CUDA). This paper will introduce the signalprocessing steps of SD-OCT on GPU. An experiment is performed to acquire a frame SD-OCT data (400A-linesx2048 pixel per A-line) and real-time processed the data on GPU. The results show that it can be finished in 6.208 milliseconds, which is 37 times faster than that on Central processing Unit (CPU).

One of the most common problems of ECG recordings is the baseline wandering in the ECG signals during data collection. Baseline wander elimination is considered as a classical problem in ECG signal filtering. This paper presents two wavelet analysis (WA) based ECG signal baseline wander removal methods, The Discrete Wavelet transform based method uses a high level decomposition and eliminates the lowest frequency component. The wavelet packet based searching algorithm uses the energy of the signal in different scales to identify the baseline wander. The algorithm calculates the corresponding energy of wavelet packet coefficients at each scale. After a comparison, the branch of the wavelet binary tree corresponding to higher energy wavelet spaces is chosen. These procedures are tested using specific data records.

The science of metabolomics is a relatively young field that requires intensive signalprocessing and mul-tivariate data analysis for interpretation of experimental results. The lack of integration and standardization for metabolomics compounded by the complexity of the experimental data has lead to a fragmented research community. While efforts have been undertaken to approach these problems, the efforts to develop a set of standards for reporting processing and analysis procedures has stalled. In this paper, we propose a set of fundamental operators for nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) based metabolomics. These operators are implementation independent, and can be used to easily and precisely describe the processing and analysis steps that led to research conclusions. This formalization can facilitate inter-lab communication, and due to its simplicity, it is easily adapted by the metabolomics community. A Domain Specific Language (DSL) is also included to demonstrate an implementation of these operators. The DSL is simple, convenient for a domain scientist, and can be easily transformed into multiple target platforms.
