This paper proposes a methodology for 3D ear recognition using spin images and removing false mapped features using geometric surface properties of 3D shapes. Many Feature detection techniques works well with different 3D objects for recognition but not well with ear data of similar shapes. Since, ear data of the different subjects varies with unique features but fundamentally of similar shape. Detected features belongs to flat region of test ear may match with the features belongs to flat region of target data with different co-ordinate position, leads to cross feature matching. Using geometrical surface properties and extended neighbourhood of detected feature points, cross matched features has been removed, which increased the recognition rate. The experimental results carried out with UND Ear database gives a promising results.

The classification based on metadata may provide wrong result as the erroneous, incomplete information is provided. The analysis of acoustic features provides accurate information of data. The melody of music can be extracted by pitch values, its variations, and patterns formed by it. In the literature, researchers used Pitch Features with Pitch Class Distribution and observed the loss of temporal properties. The Phrased based methods are developed but for very restrictive input. The Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficient provides timbre information, which is useful for singer detection, instrument detection and not used for Raga Identification. The paper provides comparison in the result of Raga Identification using Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficient and various Pitch Detection Algorithms (PDAs) for Indian Classical Music.

A lot of works have been done on Electrocardiogram and Phonocardiogram (ECG and PCG). But in most of the cases data for ECG or PCG have been taken from standarddatabase Iike MIT-BIH Arrhythmia or any other sourees. In this work a real-time signalprocessing task (RTST) on heart sound is presented. In the first part it is shown that the phonocardiogram signal (PCG) could be detected using an electronic circuit along with the DSP (TMS320C6713) processor from human heart. In the second part reduction of PCG signal and analysis of PCG signal have been shown using different digital signalprocessing techniques Iike Decimation, Interpolation, Windowing, Discrete Fourier Transform, Fast Fourier Transforms etc. In this work we have applied the Multi-rate signalprocessing Technique to reduce the size of the heart sound signal. The MSPT deals with different sampling frequencies. The challenging part of this work is to apply the DSP KIT to achieve the heart sound data and to apply the different signalprocessing techniques to reach the goal. An electronic circuit is designed and implemented along with a stethoscope to receive the heart sound signal (PCG signal) from the human heart. The DSP KIT is incorporated to proceed to the main work. The task has been completed through taking near about 20 person's real time heart sound samples (PCG samples).

A set of FPGA software system for video signalprocessing circuit is designed in this paper. The system uses FPGA as the core logic control and uses high speed serial transceiver chip tlk2711 as the interface of data transmission. This paper describes the main components of the software and the realization method of the modular design of FPGA, and gives the simulation waveforms and debug results of the main modules. The test results show that the data transmission interfaces provided by the system have a data rate of 6.4Gbps, which can meet the testing requirements of the satellite camera video processing functions and greatly improve the data transmission rate and accuracy.
