According to the array signalprocessing theory, the horizontal directivity index of the vector hydrophone vertical array (VHVA) is not higher than that of a single vector hydrophone. In order to improve the direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation performance, a data fusion method for the VHVA is proposed in this paper. The azimuth estimation results corresponding to each vector hydrophone at a series of single-frequency points are obtained through the cross-spectral processing algorithm. Then the narrow-band estimation results of multiple hydrophones are processed by data fusion method to achieve more accurate estimation results. By adopting the histogram statistics method, the synthetic high-resolution estimation result is obtained finally. To verify the significantly improved performance of the proposed algorithm, we conducted the simulation and sea trial. It is revealed that the DOA estimation performance of the VHVA is much better than that of a single vector hydrophone. In the fusion estimation result, the peak of the statistics values is much narrower, and the side lobe is obviously suppressed.

The study and processing of bio-signals and the perception of clinical images is an important part of modern medical science, technology and engineering. In each registered electrocardiogram (ECG) data, there are two major noise sources such as the power-line interface and baseline wandering noise. A low-frequency noise of about 0.5 to 0.6 Hz is the second, i.e. the baseline wander (closer to a dc). This wandering baseline is practically due to inadequate skin sensitivity to electrodes, i.e. due to relaxed interaction with electrodes or poor positioning or even tightly positioned electrodes. To suppress the DC offset, the conventional DC bias removal filter and its three variants are used in this study. All the circuits were synthesized on an Altera Cyclone IV FPGA EP4CE115F29C7 device using Quartus II software v13.1 tool. Finally, the simulation results of device utilization, clock speed, and power dissipation are compared among all the designs.

An Indoor-Air-Quality (IAQ) sensor is developed in conformity with ISO/IEEE/IEC 21451 standards. The developed IAQ sensor is suitable to monitor the concentrations of indoor air quality parameters like PM2.5, CO2, O-3, and CO. The semiconductor and PM 2.5 sensors are used for implement the sensor array. The optical PM2.5 Sensor module has been developed. The sensing part of the developed sensor is controlled through smart devices with GSM network. The machine-tomachine (M2M) data communication is implemented for the air quality sensor and smart devices. The calibration of the developed sensor has also been implemented successfully. The IAQ sensor is portable, easy to operate, low cost, and energy efficient.
