Continuous development of modern technologies and equipment models inevitably needs to improve the process of training highly qualified specialists who carry out their direct operation. As one of the most promising areas of improvement, the introduction of intelligent systems to support the continuous process of professional development of specialists (virtual assistants) with the ability to predict events in time, build an interactive spatio-temporal model of events is justified. It is shown that such systems should be based on the development and integrated use of modern methods of machine learning and analysis of a large amount of data to determine the most effective strategies for the professional development of a specialist, depending on the current personal competence, psycho-physiological portrait, as well as assessments of the expected conditions for the performance of functional tasks. © 2023 IEEE.

As an important form of geometric data, effectively extracting the rich geometric information contained within point clouds is integral to addressing various point cloud data processing problems. However, point cloud objects typically possess non-Euclidean spatial structures with multiple scales that are disordered, complex, and dynamically and unpredictably changing. Most current self-attention modules rely on query-key-value features' dot-product multiplication and dimension alignment, which cannot capture the multi-scale non-Euclidean structures of point cloud objects. This paper presents a self-attention plug-in module, Multi-scale Geometry-aware Self-Attention (MGSA), and its variants to address these challenges. By utilizing multi-scale local and global geometric information, the MGSA method effectively processes point cloud data. The experimental results showcase that incorporating the self-attention mechanism significantly enhances the ability to capture multi-scale geometry. Furthermore, MGSA achieves consistently strong results on well-known point cloud benchmarks, demonstrating its robust competitiveness. © 2023 IEEE.

In this paper, under the existing processing and testing technology conditions. The tooth profile data points of the gear are detected by a three-coordinate measuring machine. In order to improve the detection accuracy, the outlier data points are eliminated by using the distance formula based on the point to the straight line and the Pauta criterion. After completing the data point preprocessing, using B-spline curve fitting algorithm, realize the fitting of the involute of the gear. According to the fitting curve results and the involute error range of the standard gear, the involute cluster is calculated. Then use the equidistant curve formula to locate the involute closest to the measured data point. According to the radius of the base circle of the nearest involute from the data point and the coordinate value of the intersection point of the involute and the gear dividing circle, the cumulative pitch deviation ∆Fp of the gear and the radial runout tolerance of the ring gear ∆Fr are calculated, realize the error evaluation of gear. In order to optimize the processing technology of gear shaper, improve the accuracy of gear cutting, accurate data are provided. © 2024 SPIE.

The creation of an autonomous vehicle has two major goals: to minimize the amount of labor that must be performed manually and to provide the automobile with superior intelligence. In order to turn a standard automobile into an autonomous vehicle that can drive itself around a predetermined map (in this case, a university campus), several modifications need to be made. The outcomes of this project will also contribute to the creation of a more technologically advanced campus atmosphere. Additional responsibilities include taking control of the horn system and being in charge of the headlights while also receiving the response signal from the station. In order to guarantee that everything functions correctly, we utilized components such as the Raspberry Pi, light sensors, motors, Arduino Uno, ultrasonic sensors, buzzers, and cameras. A temporary model is built to ensure that this project is successful right from the start. The training model trains the deep learning approach using images captured by a camera in manual mode, which enables the vehicle to operate in autonomous mode using the multilayered neural network that was taught. The final prototype utilizes image processing methods to track lanes. A few image processing technologies, such as intelligent edge detection, provide autonomous movement capabilities. These algorithms were built and tested on the vehicle. The system operated without a hitch, and the data gathered was within reasonable bounds of expectations. As well as demonstrating how the autonomous system of an electric car works. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to maximize the operational efficiency of intersections, this paper first establishes a multi-objective function model with the maximum traffic capacity, minimum average number of stops, and minimum intersection delay as the optimization goals by studying the traffic data of instance intersections and their change laws. Then, the multi-objective optimization model is solved by heuristic algorithms such as the genetic algorithm and particle swarm algorithm in Python language, and the above algorithms are compared and analyzed to find the optimal intersection signal control scheme. Finally, taking the intersection of Zhongyang East Road and Yijing Street in Siping City as an example, the genetic algorithm and particle swarm algorithm reduced the average delay of the intersection by 32.3% and 31.4%, and the average number of stops decreased by 4.8% and 6.0%, respectively. The results show that the signal control scheme optimized based on the heuristic algorithm can reduce the delay level and average number of stops at the existing intersections, which proves the feasibility of the proposed heuristic algorithm in this paper. © 2023 SPIE.

Short Message Communication (SMC) is a featured service of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS). The short-message processing resources for satellites are comparatively unusual. To enhance a resource utilization as well as guarantee short-message fatal quality is suitable, it is essential to allocate as well as plan short-message satellite dispensation properties in multi-satellite coverage area. In this research, the Dynamic Weight based Grey Wolf Optimization (DWGWO) is proposed for the for lossy data compression approach to transmit a electric data based on BDS. The performance of the proposed method achieves better results and it evaluated by using the various metrices such as Compression Ratio (CR), Mean Absolute Error (MAE), Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) and computational time of values about 66.34, 3.129, 3.998 and 0.004 respectively. The proposed method achieves better results when compared to the existing methods such as Chaos Multilayer Particle Swarm Optimization (CMPSO), Quadrature Mirror Filter (QMF)-based sub-band splitting as well as Binary Encoding Method (MBE). © 2023 IEEE.

During the rescue process of mine accidents, deviations in the drilling position or the occurrence of new local collapses may lead to unsatisfactory results using traditional life detection methods such as audiovisual means. Ultra-wideband radar life detection technology can penetrate coal to detect trapped people. However, due to the unclear attenuation characteristics of radar signal propagating in coal and the neglect of the differences in signal propagation between coal and air in traditional localization methods, significant positioning errors may occur. Therefore, this manuscript proposes the life detection and localization method suitable for mine rescue scenarios through studying the attenuation characteristics of radar signal propagating in coal. Experimental results show that the attenuation of radar waves is proportional to the thickness of the coal. The proposed method can detect trapped human behind coal in real-time, with an average relative error of 3.8% in estimation of the thickness of coal and 5.6% in localization, significantly improving localization accuracy compared to traditional methods. This study provides technical support for the application of UWB radar in mine drilling rescue, which is of scientific and practical significance for ensuring the safety of coal miners. © 2024 SPIE.

The research project is mainly based on image classification. We also showed a path to Optical Character Recognition. Optical Character Recognition (OCR) is basically a technology which can change over a computerized image of content to editable content i.e. it can change digital image to editable text. An OCR by using image processing and classification for Bangla dialect is proposed here. The primary step of this project is that to recognize and detect 'text', the usage of image classification and Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) is implemented. Characters are separated from the Corpus and then the most decisive and challenging of the project step is implemented which is the verification of the word or corpus. The Bengali word or corpus is then extracted from the digital image and then it is converted to digital font and then the digital font is compared with our accumulated data set to verify whether the word is absolute or not. To enrich the diversity of Bengali language in the field of technology the project plays a very significant role from its own view. © 2023 IEEE.

In the realm of digital systems, binary representation has been the predominant method for data encoding and processing. However, alternative numbering systems such as ternary (base-3) have gained considerable attention over binary due to its ability to reduce interconnect complexity for identical data processing. Balanced ternary offer several advantages over unbalanced ternary in certain applications. This report outlines novel binary to balanced ternary encoder that accepts 9-bit sign-magnitude binary data (-255 to +255) and generates 6-trit ternary equivalent in BET (Binary Encoded Ternary) format. The theoretical analysis is explained and the corresponding verilog code is simulated using Xilinx-vivado software to validate the idea. After behavioral simulation, the circuit is synthesized and implemented for the target device Xilinx Basys3 Artix-7 FPGA: XC7 A35T -1 CPG236C. Post implementation bit stream is downloaded on to the target FPGA for prototype verification. © 2024 IEEE.
